Moved in January 2021, you would think my home was 30 years old given the sweaky floor, shutters falling off, front door stain is faded to white, again looks 30 years old. If your in the market for a house, buy an old one and fix it up. It will be far less work than a 3 year old Wayne home. read more

I started my Wayne Homes process in May, 2018, and my beautiful Wayne Homes Montgomery Family elevation was completed on March 26, 2019. I enjoyed all the people that I have worked with at the Ravenna office. We built in Mercer, Pa, the city of Hermitage. They were upfront with all the costs of building from the base price, and the price of PPI's, which are items paid for by the owner of the land. Like Water (well in our case) Sewage (city sewer with Grinder pump) Electric temp service, connecting fees, trenching, Gas supply hook up, trenching, Gutters, drainage as required by our city. These things do add up, and in our case were about 40% of the base price of our new home. Not the fault of WayneHomes. We ran into issues with our dig, because of rock, that made our dig about $10k more than expected, this was on us, it was not WayneHomes fault that our land had lots and lots of rock, and the city requirements for drainage and septic caused our PPI's to probably be higher than others. I was very happy with our field manager, Kenny Oles, and everyone at the Ravenna office. Our new house is beautiful, and I really do not have much to complain about. Our build went very smoothly once the foundation waterproofing was complete. Every week something new was being completed. We are very happy that we chose Wayne Homes to build our home. read more

I am building a house with Wayne Homes and for the past like 9 months now they have stopped working. The reason for them to stop work was the fact that my foundation is falling over and they had no want to fix it. I was the first person to bring out a structural engineer and now have brought out three of them! I have been fighting with Wayne to get my house fixed and fixed right! The second that I got a layer they have pulled off my job and hAvent been back since. It has now been over a year since they have dug my foundation and I just was told that they were going to agree with me on fixing my house and we're going to send a letter for agreement. When I got the letter most of the things that they told me they were going to fix is not on it and it states that I will release wayne homes of anything related to my house up to date that is wrong weather known or not. So then is that there way of telling me I no longer get a 10 year structural warranty? My layer thinks so! O and I can't forget the part of them wanting me not to tell anyone about my story!!! Ops! Sorry! Not! I will tell everyone about my experience so that I can help other people like me that only want a good house! We started our building process with Wayne homes. We were very specific in what we wanted as we were going custom. It took us a while to finally get what we wanted perfect. Of course we changed our minds a lot in the beginning we are building a brand new house and wanted to make it perfect. We put our money down in April and was told it would hold a spot to dig in Aug/Sept. During that time leading up to our dig date we are still finalizing everything thinking we were good. We finally get everything done and I am ready to start to get this ball rolling I find out I have to wait another 6 weeks out! They never put me on the schedule to dig or sent my print to their CAD department because they claim I was still working on colors. Our prints have nothing to do with color and to make matters worse I asked to change a color and was told I could not because it would hold everything up. Not sure why that is when they never even ordered a thing yet which is why I had to wait 6 weeks. I got a survey about WH so I filled it out and suggested that when you put your money down they give you an actual build date and you work with your colors person to get everything done to meet that dig date. Well that upset the vice president of sales Jen she called me and told me maybe we aren't the builder for you a number of times. Then she told me she would give me my money back. Then she told me the earliest I would get to build is middle of Oct when I was planning on first of September and our house would not be done until April which I was told Dec/Jan before. So it seemed she was going to make my build process as slow and painful as possible since I offered that feedback. So I felt like I had no choice and I left them and had to start completely over with another builder. I was so upset because I had everything just the way I wanted it. I wouldn't waste my time with WH they make their own rules and if you offer feedback they will make sure thing become very uncomfortable. Honestly I went with them because they were cheaper but I found tons of other builder can get you in the same price range and do better work and you will have better service.
