The staff here are were AMAZING. I booked through Booking.com and then messaged them to ask if I could pay to get balloons or something in our room as we were celebrating my daughter's 13th birthday and going to see her favorite band. They messaged me back and asked who we were seeing and asked what her favorite treats were. When we arrived they had this amazing little treat basket and note for her. That was ABOVE and beyond. The hotel was super convenient to the concert venue, quiet and clean. The reason I am only giving 4 stars - the shower. Y'all it legitimately hurt. It was like being hosed on a high jet setting. 3.5 stars. A nicely redone motel, rooms are nice but it's very parking lot adjacent. It has a kinda fancy bar inside with lots beer on tap and some bites (Hosmer). There is a pool in the parking lot that is fenced and my kids enjoyed it and the hot tub. The pool is 9 feet deep! Can be loud at night due to cars and in morning due to maid carts rolling on concrete. Pet friendly but we didn't have a pet. The price was more than I wanted to pay but it felt like there was citywide gouging happening due to Luke Bryan concert in town. This place is beautiful. The location is great. You got a lot of places to eat and if you do DoorDash, there's so many amazing things on there that deliver as well. They may check in so easy and when you check in there's so many like snack options I love that there's a little bar local beer at the front desk. First hotel that I've ever stayed at that upon check in they said "We only service the rooms one the 3rd day of your stay. Since you are staying only 2 days, your room will not be cleaned while you are here". The clerk could tell by the look on my face that I was shocked to say the least. She then said that they would clean the room daily if I requested it. I immediately said yes, I want my room cleaned daily. Seriously? At almost $200 a night and no daily cleaning of the room? Absurd!!! On top of that, when I returned to my room the next evening after a long day traveling I found my room in the exact condition when I left that morning. No service even though I was told it would be done! This hotel was nothing special. And to be honest, should have been listed as a Motel not a Hotel. All rooms were accessed from the exterior with the only window facing the walkways. Little security and no privacy whatsoever. Spend your money somewhere else. read more

If you are traveling thru Oregon and Bend is in your route, and you are traveling with pets, if you plan to stay over in Bend I highly recommend The Waypoint Hotel, pets or no pets. They are the ultimate of pet friendly you could find . They give you a cover to put on the top of bed for your pet to join you along with a big dog treat. Tho they are in the center of town they have a great dog walk lawn area around the hotel set up for dogs . They couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. There is a Black Bear restaurant on the premises and nice bar inside the hotel lobby where your pet is welcome, The rooms are very nice , beds are comfortable, all the amenities you'd need along with a big screen tv. My very first time to visit Bend, Oregon! I was going to stay in a higher rated hotel at almost twice the cost and thought I would take a chance on Waypoint Hotel. The room exceeded my expectations as it was very clean, very large and had a very comfortable bed. I am a solo traveler and felt very safe and liked that the parking area was very well lit. This hotel is about a mile and a half from downtown and about 2 miles from the Old Mill District. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer. The room at Waypoint Hotel was clean and comfortable--no complaints there. But my experience soured when I tried to check out early in the morning. They attempted to charge me an early checkout fee, which felt completely unreasonable nor had I been informed about . Had I simply left the keys in the room, they wouldn't have known when I left--so it seems like a penalty for being honest. To make matters worse, they also charged me for having a service dog, which is not only unethical but potentially illegal. It felt like a bait-and-switch: the hospitality was fine until it came time to leave, and then the hidden fees appeared. Be careful and ask upfront about all potential charges. Appreciate renovated roadside motel, kind of Schitt's Creek. Updated rooms though bathroom tiny. Appreciate dog friendly with nice area for our girls to potty and receptacle for proper waste disposal. Bed was comfy. Nice Keurig for coffee. I can't say enough positive things about the Waypoint Hotel. We have stayed there now four different times each time we come to Bend. The staff is wonderful especially Cara. It is locally owned by husband and wife who do a wonderful job keeping the place well run and immaculate, we love their swimming pool and hot tub. Walking distance or a couple of minutes drive into town. Can't beat the price of the hotel for the quality and size of the rooms. The lobby area has a nice fireplace to sit by in the colder evenings along with an outside fire pit area that's beautiful and the warmer months. Can't say enough positive things about this hotel. Great hotel just blocks from blockbuster. Friendly staff, great amenities, and large rooms. Shower was pretty confusing as it seemed the knob had to be replaced with caused some functionality issues but wasn't the end of the world. Many rooms are very close to the pool which makes it very challenging for guests to get any rest while many people are talking and kids screaming. The pool stays open until 10pm. When I asked the front desk if I can switch to another room I was told that there isnt any other room available while I saw available rooms online. read more

Waypoint Hotel was nice, modern, clean, conveniently located and Uberly pet friendly! We stayed here for an evening while driving through, and they were extremely pet friendly. Pet fees cheaper than most areas, which included pet linens and a doggie biscuit. The lobby is also pet friendly which isn't usually the case when we travel. They had a lovely grass area along the side and back of the hotel which you could access through a side patio. Believe it or not even "pet friendly" hotels aren't very pet friendly when it comes to a good place for them to do their business. This place was. The room was clean, modern, well equipped and we sure enjoyed our stay here. We love Bend and will be back to WayPoint next time we're in the area! read more

We were very happy with our stay! Prior to check in I got a call to confirm our stay day prior which I wasn't expecting but it was impressionable and appreciated. We got into town much earlier with the anticipation of taking advantage of an early check in. They are dog friendly and I love their little touch of welcoming our fur-kid with a treat and his own blanket. Easily something that I'm sure didn't cost them much to do but made a great impression. The hotel is what I expected where it was formally a motel that the renovated but honestly, as long as it was cleaned professional, and a safe place to stay we were happy with it. A quick overnight at the Waypoint on our way north. It was a great choice! Looked like a renovated hotel from years past, but what a great job on the remodel! Outside, very nice, with parking room front. The lobby included a wine and craft beer bar, along with a big open fire pit right outside. Perfect no matter what the weather for relaxing and meeting other people. Rooms were setup to be pet friendly (tile floor) and had a genius metal frame credenza holding TV, etc, plus a place to store skis. Price was very reasonable for the accommodations. It's a little too far to walk downtown from here, but on the main drag so plenty of food options nearby. Not the most luxurious, but we'd gladly stay there again as there is no downside to it. NEVER STAYING AT RED LION PROPERTY AGAIN! This was our second stay at a RLP on our 5 day road trip..same experience, horrible. Signature Bend sells themselves as a "boutique hotel"..if putting in a hip lobby, and a fresh coat of mod paint on the exterior is "boutique" then yes. The rooms are far from what they sold us on in their description. Dated furniture and amenities is what we found. The wood floors were filthy! I walked barefooted for a bit and my wife pointed out the bottom of my feet were black! The AC barely kept the temperature it was set at, and the noisy mini fridge had to be unplugged because it kept us all up. Speaking of noise, since this property is at the corner of a busy intersection, you'll get a lot of horns and loud performance exhaust noises day/night. And for a real kick in the pants, housekeeping didn't clean our room when we left for the day!! When I called down to the front desk, I was informed they were "gone for the day"?! Also, if you're not a dog person..DO NOT STAY HERE! There's a couple of dogs barking off/on, day/night in the adjacent units. My wife and I agreed, it smells like our room had recently been home to someone's furry friend. My mother-in-laws room especially smells like a combo of dog and the chronic (weed,grass,sticky-icky). Bottom line: after spending a couple of days in Bend, there are plenty of better options in/around for your visit. Do yourself a favor and avoid Signature Bend.. read more

It's a hard no for me. Room layout was bad. The bathroom was ridiculous. You can't access your towel from the shower. And nothing in the way of breakfast?! Staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Their dog area was good once you figured out how the gate latch worked. Feels like they're struggling a bit and pinching pennies. I hope they figure it out. It's not rocket science. Been looking for a little home away from home in Bend needing to come every month. Believe i have found it in Signature Bend! They recently reopened the old Red Lion. Although it's a huge job to re brand a motel/inn they are making it look pretty easy! Nate at the front desk and staff is an incredible asset to sexy new mid century vibe going on in the lobby. Casual yet professional hip desk folks make you feel like family. Quick no up sale check in and you're off to your little desert oasis of Bend. Great micros, wine and glowing fire pits await you! Outdoor old school 9ft deep pool (minus diving board) + hot tub with fresh towels. Fantastic complimentary hot breakfast will set you right for a day in Bend! Priced fairly for the hood. A few hiccups to work out with updates/repairs/consistency in rooms but they are well on their way to making Bend proud! read more

They told me that they plan to do more renovation on the outside. Good experience overall. Check out time is 12 PM which is quite nice. Good enough location: 10 minutes drive to the bus stop going up to Mt bachelor and 10 mins to downtown. They seem to offer ski package to hoodoo. My family took a road trip during this pandemic but this motel really intensified our anxiety. We walked into our room and it had a dog smell. I am a dog lover but we left them at home. In the first 10 minuted the toilet backed up and they just handed us a plunger then walked away! The old airconditioner we could not use and it was 85 degrees outside. Mold in the bathroom with dirt on the flooor. Oh your feet will be BLACK within minutes after your shower! No worth any amount of money to stay there. Oh the website says it was remodeled only the lobby and patio. The rooms were never remodeled. I'd say this is a disgusting place. read more

The lobby looks good but the rooms are outdated. I asked the front desk if the room that they gave us is big enough for a family with a toddler and a dog and we were given a very small room I was told it is 300 sq feet it is not and the bathroom and toilet is cramped and the room is adjacent to the stairs. I just wished they gave us a bigger room coz we are staying 3 nights and it was not busy Sun to Tuesday. Not happy with this one. Had a great weekend and the hotel was just as good. Reason for 4 stars: I booked two rooms for our reservation, one for my family and one for my sisters. They got the room sizes mixed up. But didn't realize until after both our families unpacked so it was more work to fix it. We had non-carpet rooms, but the floors were FILTHY! Walking around the bottoms of our feet turned black! At one point, my son spilled some water and when I went to wipe it up with a towel, the towel was black. But more goods! The pool was amazing. I was up early one day and did notice it was cleaned daily. The temp was great too. The best part is the "South Yo Mouth" food truck that is on site!!!! We loved our stay and will surely be back, I'll just bring my swifter wetjet next time. read more

The employees here know the meaning of hospitality! Everyone is always smiles and eager to help! We wanted to mention that Will did an amazing job answering our questions and truly making us feel welcome from the moment we walked into the lobby! The room is obviously newly renovated and really nice! This was a spontaneous weekend getaway and we found quite a deal for our room--so you never know how things will turn out, but I would say we got incredibly lucky! They also allow dogs for $20 for the whole stay! Location is great, the amenities are also really nice! They have a small selection of beer on tap which we enjoyed as we sat around the fire in the evening. There is also a nice pool and hot tub. They offer a free breakfast in the morning which is always a plus. We are certainly going to be back to bend and no questions we will be staying at the Signature Inn again! read more

There are some nice things about this hotel including the lobby and outdoor sitting area. I would have given this hotel a higher review EXCEPT the floors in the room are SO dirty your feet and socks will be black. Night one I asked for floors to be cleaned. No one ever came to clean floor. Next day I talked to front desk & the person wasn't aware of my request and never offered to clean floor. She indicated it was a known problem and they think it was the cleaner they are using that makes the floor stain come up. If this is really the issue why not fix it right away? There is a review on Yelp from weeks ago with the same issue. Several of my friends stayed and all had issue with dirty floor and black feet. Something is not being managed properly regarding this issue. Whether it is dirt (which I feel it is) or the "stain" from the floor coming up, it's gross. It is not pleasant to have your feet/ socks black the entire stay. My suggestion is to provide complementary slippers until you fix this problem and let your customers know ahead. Also pool was not heated as stated and was freezing. Hot tub was broken and couldn't be used. read more

I am conflicted on a review for this "hotel". Stayed the weekend for 3 nights. Before booking --please know that this is a motel. The room is large and the sheets are clean. But it's older and hard used. It is obviously pet friendly. But be prepared to be wearing flip flops or your feet are black. Swimming pool is in the parking lot and so is the outdoor space. Breakfast is not a "hotel quality" breakfast. Staff is nice. But this is just a renovated motel. For the price per night I will not stay here again. read more

I'm conflicted. On the one hand the front of house decoration is lovely, the staff were pleasant and professional, and the 8 taps behind the check in counter is a great idea. Families were enjoying what looked like a nice pool. And parking was free/available. The room was decent and not undersized. But value for money at $300/night when we stayed on July 2nd is a tough ask when I looked on their site after we had checked in to see what the next nights would cost and $161 was the starting price. So, overall a solid experience, but now I feel a little ripped off to be honest. Perhaps it was because of very high occupancy, but still... The beds were, however, quite comfortable. HBO had a good run of movies to watch. But when I arrived, there was no hot water. ...it was alright. I paid too much for my room, though, in my opinion. Absolutely horrible customer service. It took nearly a half an hour to check in with three agents working together, and they still assigned a room that was already occupied by a very understanding lady lying on the bed. Their reservation system couldn't be more unorganized. After all the confusion, they charged two different credit cards for the same rooms twice, in spite of telling me there would only be a $40 hold for incidentals. Horribly overpriced at $279 for a standard single room - the quality of the rooms doesn't come close to supporting. Planned on staying 2 nights but the customer service was so bad, we opted to drive two blocks down the street and stayed at a terrific Days Inn with a fantastic friendly staff at 1/3 the price. I have stayed at many Red Lions, and this was my first horrible Red Lion Experience. Pure inattentive arrogance at the front counter - I would never recommend this property to anyone, unless you don't care how you are treated. Save money and your sanity - drive down the street. Stayed here on a 2 week road trip with my boyfriend. We got a good deal, I think it was $60 for the night. The room included breakfast from 6-9am which was great. Breakfast included fresh made waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon, cereal, tea, coffee, juice, oatmeal, muffins, and bread. The room was comfortable and clean. We had 2 beds, cable TV, and wi-fii. Checking in and out was easy. We stayed here after visiting Crater Lake. It's about 1.5 hours north of Crater Lake. It's a normal sized small city so there was a lot around to eat. We got a good deal using Priceline and I would stay here again if in the area. Never stayed at Red Lion before but that seems to be the chain for Northern California going up to Oregon. read more

This place was so cozy! It's not perfect (we aren't at the four seasons) but close and it has so much to offer. The bathrooms are huge. There are double sinks/vanities in the rooms. Love that there is a fridge, microwave and coffee set up. Continental breakfast is great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Definitely grab a beer or wine and relax by the indoor or outdoor fire.
