While the services were beneficial and progress was made, the experience was completely tainted by the lack of organization and unprofessional business practices. When we signed up for services, a discount was offered for having a second child receive services as well. We received services over a nine month period. We paid as went as insurance did not cover any of the sessions. Invoices or monthly statements were never provided and we simply asked them to charge our credit card as we went. About thirty days after we finished the sessions, we received a bill what appeared to be the final sessions. We did not dispute the bill and paid it. We later received another bill and took it as valid and sent them a check. A few weeks later, (now several months since we last received services)we received the check back with a note saying our account was paid in full and we did not owe any more money. Three months later I receive a call from "Pete" at my workplace who is calling to say our account is past due and we owe him $421 and if we don't pay right now he is sending us to collections. I proceeded to explain that his company returned our last payment to us with a statement saying the account was paid in full and that there must be a misunderstanding. He became very rude and beligerent and demanded payment immediately. From here things got worse. Pete harassed us continually. He said the therapist that provided the services did not bill us correctly, that she was not authorized to give an additional child discount and that he was going to reverse the discount and bill the full amounts. A month later he sent us invoices and statements indicating we owe them over $900 and demanded payment. He threatened collections throughout. We did not have anything in writing from them regarding the sibling discount, and as they did not provide on going invoices or statements we had nothing to argue his trumped up charges and invoices. We value our credit and do not want a fight with collections. We paid the $900 and will never do business with them again. Get everything in writing while they are trying to "sign you up" and demand invoices and statements. They are not the friendly "mom & pop" operation they claim to be.

The initial assessment of skill sets is relatively thorough - motor, speech, and emotional. Based on this a worker can come to your home twice a month to help as well as offer classes if warranted. So far a positive experience.

Our speech therapist spent time chatting with me about life. Which was nice but our sessions were short and I wanted help for my kids not a friend. The speech therapist read books and played games with my girls. They just went from game to game. That's it. I wish our speech therapist actually practiced pronouncing sounds and helped with correcting their speech. There was no work or help with speech. This was just very expensive play time. If passive learning worked then no one would need speech therapy. Only after I requested to cancel services, was there an offer to do drill based sessions. This is something that should have been discussed day 1. This was so frustrating because again what a waste. I hope this message reaches the therapists. Your services are expensive. Please do not waste our time and money.

What made this experience truly shocking was the therapist, Jasmine, who made zero effort to comfort my child. Instead of offering any assistance, she sat with a stern, detached expression, leaving me and my mother to frantically try and calm him down on our own. We know that music usually helps soothe my toddler, so we played some children's songs at a reasonable volume in a room with closed doors. To our surprise, Jasmine asked us to turn it off without giving any reason, adding to the tension rather than alleviating it. Throughout the entire session, she showed no patience or empathy, merely sitting back and watching as my son cried. What truly drove us to leave was when my son got frightened by the watch she was wearing. I politely asked if she could pull her sleeve down just a little (which is about 1cm from the watch) to cover it, hoping it might help ease his fear. She refused, saying: "No, I'm just going to leave it here as is. I always wear it, and I'm just going to leave it here." At that moment, I realized that with her attitude and approach, there was no chance of making meaningful progress in this session. We left with my son still upset, and I shared my concerns with the clinic staff. To their credit, the staff and managers listened to my feedback attentively, which I do appreciate. However, the therapy experience itself was appallingly poor. I would not recommend this therapist to anyone, and I sincerely hope no other child or parent has to endure such a distressing and unprofessional session.

She is open to feedback and direction from outside tutors and IEP goals to design specific learning objectives for a child with dyslexia. Communication with the clinic, front desk, billing and office manager unfortunately, is lacking. The owner is not an open nor, honest person and does not take time to understand the truth of a situation. *Beware: If you take a two week family trip in the summer and your clinician also takes a trip the following two weeks, you'll be accused of cancelling half of your scheduled appointments for the summer and then given a warning of violating an attendance contract, (even though majority of these appointments were re-scheduled). Later, this will be used against you when your child is sick with a fever and has to cancel last minute. It really is a bummer to be taken off the schedule because of incomplete records and lack of communication. Other things to know: -The office staff is not welcoming as you enter the clinic, nor do they let you know if your clinician is coming soon or not. -You are responsible for tracking your co-pay payments and being sure to pay them. This is tricking if another caregiver has to bring the child to their appointment because the office does not keep a credit card on file at the clinic. -Therapists discuss private therapy and decisions in the waiting area with caregivers, which is overwhelming and crowded. I have heard many private discussions in that waiting room due to this model of communication. Overall, it's a decent place to receive therapy services and they do have a fabulous swing area. Don't make the same mistake I did, be mindful of your communication with the clinic. Be sure to be clear about their expectations for scheduling. Don't assume anything, never run a few minutes late and don't get sick or you'll be on their list.

Pur Bean of course disliked the extra stretching but loved the play engagement. We eventually got a referral for her helmet with drastically improved her poor head shape. We stopped in late January 2026 when she had noticeable improvement in her range of motion. Today shes a quickly 14.5 month old with full range of motion, who climbs like Jimothy and runs at the speed of light! If she ever turns to sports and needs sports therapy, we will for sure be back because everyone was amazing here! I'm so happy we reached out early to get her in and didn't wait. That early intervention made all the positive difference!

I came to Susan Cohn & Associates despondent, crestfallen, beleaguered (name your negative…read moreadjective - I was living it!) after a completely unproductive experience with my daughter's prior speech therapist. Out of a sense of obligation to my daughter, I reached out to Amy Svensson, who handled my cynical intake questions and comments like a champ. I appreciated Amy handling the intake process, as we were able to preserve objectivity ahead of our evaluation with our selected speech therapist, Cassie. After mentally deciding to try a new therapist "for a couple weeks", the results we had with Cassie were indisputable. After just a few sessions, I was able to get my daughter to attempt words that I would say - a perceived impossibility just weeks earlier. My daughter started her journey with Cassie saying only 15 words; a few months later, we are counting well into the hundreds. Speech therapy became a highlight of my daughter's week almost immediately after we started - it's become a true highlight of my week as well. As with many speech delays, the road ahead of us promises to be long, but I am confident of our continued progress thanks to Cassie and the team at Susan Cohn and Associates. Do not go to this office…read more Referred by my son's primary care but after 2 weeks of back and forth, the office still can't clarify what our first visit will cost. They specifically told me to wait for a diagnosis code, then "forgot" to follow up. There is a total lack of clarity with the billing contact in their office. And then they insist we come in anyway so they can submit billing to the insurance and if it's not covered, it will just be one out of pocket visit cost. Sounds like they're out to make money, not help their patients- who in this case is a 3 year old. Frankly, they had more than 2 weeks to validate insurance coverage and are incompetent when it comes to communication. I mean, just pay out of pocket right? They'll figure it out later !
