This review is long overdue but I can honestly say WC Garden Supplies Hydroponics is the best place to get all your materials for any kind of your gardening needs. When I first walked in I spoke to Frank and told him what kind of project I was thinking of and he set me up with everything to start my project. Frank and Walt were the top 2 guys that helped me and gave me all the much needed advice for my project. These guys are super honest and don't try to haggle you at all for your money. They were super informational especially with all the questions I had. After coming here and buying all the things I needed and all the useful information they provided I was very confident on my project because of the big help that they offered! Don't waste your time buying your gardening needs at home depot because you won't get the knowledge that these guys have here. I highly recommend them for their quality service, attention to detail, and being very informational and helpful. When Frank is there all is well, customer service with a smile always. Lately, the new kid working there leaves a lot to be desired. Usual surly attitude , like he doesn't appreciate the paying job he has. Doesn't offer to help carry stuff to the car, has his head up his phone the whole time. Today, showed up to find a "back in 5 minutes" sign taped to the door. I waited 45 minutes before giving up. While I was there three other customers came by, waited a while then left unhappy. The kid probably went to a long lunch while on the WC payroll. He should have applied for a job at McDonald's emptying the trash, that is what he is most suited for, a supervised job so he can't slack off and behind the scenes so customers don't have to put up with his poor attitude. Went to home depot for soil and fertilizer and was in and out in 20 minutes. Everyone there was helpful and efficient. I'm not coming back to WC if that kid is still there acting like he works there. read more

In the past, I've always gotten major things I need for gardening projects either up north bc of convenience at the time or online for minor things, but recently started coming here for a new outdoor project and I can't say enough good things!!! The prices are great esp for the Bay (competitive w prices state and countrywide honestly), advice is there if you want it but they aren't pushy in the slightest, the selection is really good -dirt, nutrients, pesticides, pots, any and everything you could ever need - they are STOCKED, and everyone I've come into contact with at both the Richmond and San Pablo locations have been super cool and accommodating (like when I was that jerk that showed up at 5pm on the dot on Saturday when they close to buy 19 bags of dirt bc I forgot they're closed Sunday!). They've always been extremely kind and helpful, ask your name, listen to what you're trying to do and help you in the best way they can. The level of experience, knowledge and customer service exceeds any other indoor garden supply store that I've encountered, and I've been growing since 2008 all over NorCal. There's no bullsh*t with these guys. They have literally everything you need and/or will special order at the customers request any product not in store. They are ALWAYS happy to help and happy to see each and every customer as if we're all their neighbors. And hey we are all in the cannabis community right? So it really should always feel personal and friendly when talking shop with other farmers.
