Then continued to use them to save time looking for a contractor. I agreed to use them almost exactly 1 year ago and they still aren't done. They stopped working on my property months ago. My kitchen, living room, laundry room and bathroom are gutted to the studs. It's been like this for months. They were working on 2 of my beach condos which are attached because of water damage. Both units are uninhabitable, and they have been vacant this entire time. I've made over $156,000 in mortgage payments with no rental income. I would give negative stars if I could...Worst company to deal with! We went through our warranty company who sent us to Morgan at WD Contractors to help as we needed find a leak behind the wall. They tore open the wall, floors, and ceiling then disappeared for a week. I couldn't get a hold of anyone.. After a week I finally heard back from Morgan via text and they kept saying they needed to setup equipment to take pictures to send to insurance to get a payout. They had no intention on helping us, only going after our insurance to fill their pockets. If these contractors forced you to sign a contract (something like job scope and cost cannot be determined but you have to pay them) before starting work because it's "emergency situation", and they did not perform the work like emergency, e.g. not starting work instantly, leaving your wall open for a week. Do not use this company! They were assigned by my home warranty company to fix a plumbing leak with no water damage. They did not do this work and cut a hole in the garage for no reason that they did not repair. No one responds to calls and everyone only speaks Russian when they show up at your house unannounced. They tell you in broken English to call the company contact for an explanation because they don't speak English. No matter what, no one ever answers the phone! Then they send a bill for thousands of dollars, for what I have no idea! I contacted the home warranty company when I received the bill because the work was not done and I had a hole. Assigned to us by our home warranty company. We had a toilet leak that caused a leak from the second floor to the first. The guys they sent out were sloppy, and inexperienced. We understand Spanish and overheard the workers saying they had never done mold work before and complaining about the other Russian guy on the job who was doing an awful job and leaving debris and hazardous materials everywhere. They left the containment units open, left bleach stains over our couch, and debris and stains everywhere. Super sloppy and shoddy work. Project manager never showed up and was nowhere to be found. I received an elaborate explanation over the phone about how complicated and delicate their job is, and in reality - two guys came for 3 hours to pump some water our, left the fans, and left. For that - they wanted $9,500. I've asked them for pictures, work logs, measurements - of course they don't have anything. I had to bring another company to finish what these idiots started. Every two months Alex reach out to ask for a payment, I respond that they need to respond to my email as they have not completed the scope that they promised. After about a year, Alex threatened who would file a mechanical lien. That's just a scare tactic, he cannot do that as it's been more than 90 days. Then he said he would sell the case to attorneys. At that point I agreed to settle for $1,000, but that's just because it would've been more expensive to deal with attorneys. This company was assigned to me by my home warranty. They said they cannot come for two days which I can understand during these times though we have an active leak in our pipes. They were scheduled to come on Thursday and requested that we be home for four hours that afternoon. We planned our whole work schedule around this. At 5 o'clock on Thursday they said they would not be coming due to an emergency and that they were coming on Friday. On Friday they called to say they would also not be coming again due to some emergency. I left work midday for this. They apologized and said they would come on Saturday. Well, it is Saturday and not only did they not show up but they didn't even call this time. Now we have to turn the water off in our home until we can find someone to come here. read more

(For doing me the favor of being so blatantly shady I knew not to hire them) Assigned to me through First American Home Warranty for a pipe under the sink that was actively leaking. 4 days later they called and said they could send someone "tomorrow." They gave me a 4 hour window for arrival, and I wrongly assumed they would call me when they were on their way (my elderly parents had to call me to tell me he had arrived). Whatever, I'm like a 5 minute drive away. This guy walked to the middle of the kitchen, saw "mold", and attempted to leave immediately. My mother had to CONVINCE him to stay long enough for me to arrive. He basically said that 1) he's not the actual plumber, he's the supervisor who checks to make sure "everything is safe for the plumbers to work" and 2) he can't have anyone fix the leak until I get a licensed mold remediation company to demo half the kitchen and take care of the mold. THEN they can fix the leak (oh, but if we want to hire his guys, they can start the demo "tomorrow morning" - so convenient!) I asked a bunch of questions (sometimes multiple times) but I never got straight answers, just variations on how I can hire him directly or through my home insurance company for the reconstruction of my kitchen (which was still leaking). tl;dr: He didn't get within 3 feet of the leak, immediately told me that he won't work on it unless I give them tens of thousands of dollars in contractor work, and kept referring to the company as "DW Contractors". I was forced to use them through American home warranty. WD contractor service people don't respond to calls or texts, they are consistently late and they completely fcked up a simple toilet fix. Instead of just fixing the toilet, they incorrectly gave information about a "second leak" and opened up all the walls around and above the toilet. The January storms in LA resulted in a major leak down the wall that connects our daughters room and TV room. As first time owners we had no idea what to do, so we called our Warranty company and they sent out WD Contractor Services within the next couple hours. They tarped our roof and started water mitigation immediately. While the whole situation became a bit of a nightmare with insurance, WD Contractors - Especially Carl, James, and Joe were a joy to work with. They answered all my questions (as a first time home owner) and calls in a timely fashion and were quick to help us solve our issue(s) and deal with insurance. They even connected us with a roofer to fix the leak. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews, my recent experience with WD Contractors was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Warranty company contract's with them but they are awful and poorly run. They came to check our water heater and said it needed the burner replaced. We tried scheduling a follow up and never could get a hold of anyone and they never called back or if someone answered they said they would call back and never did. They always said they were busy and would squeeze us in. After 2 weeks trying to get a follow up and with no hot water during this time, and we have small kids mind you, they finally got us "squeezed" in. Worker comes and they send him with only a pair of wires and not the part needed for the repair. Of course nothing got fixed they didn't even send them with the part how were wires gonna help? The worker tried to sand our burners saying if he takes the corrosion off it may work, but obviously doesn't and all the does is make a mess he doesn't clean up and to top it off he scratched our floor. Said they would try again on Monday and called to "make it right" but no thank you and transferred our service request elsewhere; horrible experience!!! If you get assigned this company by warranty ask for another right away do not use them at all!! If I could give no stars I would but Yelp requires one star minimum. read more

I would NOT recommend WD Contractor. First American Home Warranty sent them out for a plumbing repair from a pipe burst. They were quick to repair the broken pipe (no complaints there), but the Mitigation work that they started after they fixed the pipe was a nightmare. Morgan completely misrepresented what the Insurance Companies would cover (said he was a "certified insurance specialist"), and when I tried to reach him to question his misinformation, he NEVER returned any of my phone calls, e-mails, text messages, etc. One example, WD took a mold test (without telling the homeowner!), then they never told the homeowner the results (that mold was present!). We found out by accident! Basically the more extra stuff that they ruin during the restoration process (cabinets, ceilings, etc), the more they can bill the insurance company, but the repairs are not necessarily what is needed. read more

Scammers!! Read the reviews people!! These guys are scam artists who will report mold and dry rot by just looking at a clean white wall. They then try to scam your insurance company by charging high costs for work that doesn't need to be done to give you back the deductible. If anyone thinks you can use an iPhone to detect moisture and mold then you need a reality check. They are just showing you a picture on their phone as part of the scam. The reason they get "offended" if you take pictures is because they are scamming you and the pictures are the proof. Never ever ever deal with these scammers. If you get them assigned by home warranty, be there, take pictures of their iPhone meter and get a second opinion/quote. They won't even give you a quote unless you agree they start working in it and will quote when they have destroyed your walls. read more

He hears nothing. Denied to offer solution. Said he has 30 years experience. Said he would check water meter and didn't even do that. Sat in truck for a while, closed ticket and left. I called them and they said they did not have me down and made me an appointment for today (June 18th). Once again the company did not show up and when I called they said they did not have me down. We had a stoppage in our kitchen sink, we put a claim in through Our home warranty, called for an appointment and got an appointment the very next morning. Alonso came out even before our scheduled time frame. He inspected the area snaked the area that was causing the stoppage. He was very helpful, respectful of our home and explained what he was going to do, what he found and fixed our problem. He recommended us to put a camera through the piping to see what the problem might be (leaky pipe, roots) and even called our home warranty to check if it was covered on our insurance. Our insurance did not cover but Alonso worked his magic and was able to get the work covered. WD contractor services is located out in Sherman Oaks but came all the way out to Rowland Heights area. This was the worst service I have ever experienced. As a referral from my home warranty, Miguel came out knowing he was fixing a sewer pipe. Changed a pipe out and left. I took video later that evening showing not one but three leaks. He came back days later and said that he needed to get further approval. Three weeks later after calling daily his company said they would not come back until the dirt underneath the pipe was cleaned (this was not stated when he tried to fix the pipe the first time). Then said they could not get to me. They completely ignored me and never returned my call. What a waste. read more

My dishwasher failed due to a faulty valve. Water leaked into the kitchen flooring, a water proof laminate, which sat atop the concrete foundation. WD sent out an " Inspector" who advised me they would have to tear out all my kitchen cabinetry to address possible mold mitigation. I was also informed that they might have to tear out the retaining wall between the kitchen and living room to assess damage. They scheduled the demolition for the next day! I cautioned WD to slow their roll while I sought a 2nd opinion. I brought in the contractor that renovated my kitchen just a few years prior. He was able to easily slide out the dishwasher and remove the water proof laminate flooring to determine that there was very little moisture that had leaked. A few paper towels and a fan later and the flooring was reassembled into place. Catastrophe averted! I had the dishwasher serviced and all's well that ends well... no thanks to WD Contractors. I called my home warranty company and advised them to never send this company to my home again! read more

I got it fixed and they brought it up to code as what you should of done. The person that came out could of done the same thing but he reported water heater is working fine small leak. I even have the text from him as well as what the report stated. He is shady since he tried to get me to have him come out on the side for him to do the work as a side job to bring it up to code. My home warranty company sent this contractor out to replace a copper line to the dishwasher. First he tries to use a plastic water line that of course failed because this is a hot water line that melted the plastic as soon as he turned on the water. Didn't come back for 3 days but did bring a metal flex line tho not long enough and had to run to Home Depot for an extension. He turned on the water and said he checked for leaks and said all was good. 2 days later I found a 9 foot by 4 foot area of my dining room carpet soaked from the dishwasher leaking. Turns out the flex hose connection under the dishwasher wasn't even finger tight - just placed on. You can't call or leave messages for this company because no one answers and mailbox is full. If I could give WD Contractor Services less than 1 star I would, WD contractor was assigned my job by my home warranty company to fix a leak in my laundry room on May 26th. They sent a plumber out on May 31 and the plumber said he couldn't fix the leak because there was mold. Alex at WD Contrctor said they would handle it and work with our Home Owners insurance and would do the entire job. He sent out people to dry the mold and then removed the equipment. Today is July 8 almost 6 weeks after they were 1st called and despite me litterally begging Alex to come repair the wall, the tile and put my laundry room back together we have not heard nor seen them. My warranty company paid him for the plumbing, my home owners insurance paid them for the mold removal and now he is ghosting me. Terrible customer service!!! read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I thought this could help out others exposed to this company. I noticed a water stain on my kitchen ceiling below our master bathroom. I contacted my home warranty company, First American, and the helped me schedule with WC contractors. It's important to note that their primary business is water damage mitigation/restoration. The rep arrived and using his infradred water decetor and he told my wife that we had leaks from both our shower drain and a sink drain about 9 feet away. They submitted a bid for mitigation for $3500.00. I told them that I just wanted the leaks corrected and I would look into the mitigation at a later date. The company refused to do the repairs unless I signed a docusign agreement to have them do the mitigation. I went back and forth with First American for two weeks and finally they convinced WD to do just the repairs. The plumber came out and cut out the ceiling at the leak area and discovered a 3' x 1' area of water damage with only some minor fungus and no mold. He determined it was from a disintegrated shower door sweep that we could not see, leaking onto the floor. This was no where near the shower drain or then bathroom sink. I think this should have been discovered at that initial appointment as I thought this is what they do. He confirmed that the shower drain and sink areas were dry with a moisture meter. So bottom line are these are things I can easily corrected without mitigation. Just like so many reviewers have said, "These guys are crooks". Alonso helped me out and he took good care of us. He provided the top of the top services, and spent a couple hours educating me with the issues of the plumbing of my home. He did not rush, and also allowed me to be a part of the diagnoses and taught me more about my home. I appreciate the work he put in for us, and he was able to clear up any issues we had. He also took the time to educate me with other issues I was having around the house, in the kitchen, etc. Overall I am very satisfied with the services. Very professional and very knowledgeable.
