One of my favorite studios in the area. The hot room uses…read moreinfrared heaters which I love. You also get a rose water infused cold towel after hot classes. This is a full service studio meaning they supply everything!! They offer a wide variety of classes from power yoga to gentle or yin. There are also mediation opportunities as well as Pilates!! Let's not forget the first shop!! Most of my jewelry has come from there.

I've seen termites in the back (hot) yoga room. A few weeks…read moreafter I raised concerns, my online account was blocked from booking classes at the studio. I've been coming to this studio for years. The bolsters and blankets have smelled musty and sweaty for as long as I can remember. There are a lot of classes where customers are packed in shoulder to shoulder. It makes the experience uncomfortable. I recommend trying another yoga studio if cleanliness and customer experience are important to you. This review reflects my personal experience and observations as a customer. ------ Update: After posting this review, I received a cease-and-desist letter from the studio's attorney requesting that I remove it and stating that legal action may be pursued if it remains online. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions as a customer. I am sharing this update so readers understand the context surrounding this review when evaluating feedback about the studio. Updated my star rating because of this experience.

I've loved the few times I've been to BC and their Lakeland events, but today really made me…read moreappreciate this place. I went to a 5:30 barre class and during the warmup began feeling very lightheaded. I hadn't eaten enough, and I just realized it. I sat down a couple time during the class (which felt especially awkward since there were only 3 people in class) because I feared I'd pass out. This happens a lot to me, but it's not fun. I felt the color flush from my cheeks. The instructor checked on me quietly to make sure I was fine, and had the front desk attendant follow up. I was eating nuts in the lounge area and the front desk girl offered me an ice pack and protein bar. I took the bar and ate it but still wasn't feeling well. She checked on me again and offered to give me a free class pass so I could come back and actually enjoy the workout. She cleaned up my mat and equipment for me and told me to feel better. As someone who's fainted at concerts, doctor's offices, fast food restaurants, and everywhere else, I know how embarrassing it can be. These ladies made me feel so comforted!!! They kept class going so I didn't feel like a distraction, made sure I was okay and ensured I'd be back to appreciate the class another day. Love this community of kind hearted women!

After years of exhausting super intense group fitness classes I was ready for something different…read more I had just had my second c-section in 2 years and knew that healing my core needed to be a priority before I could get back to the intense workouts. I heard of Kelly through a friend and originally started with privates post partum. Kelly tailored our workouts to my specific needs while keeping my interest in a much "slower" workout than I was used to. I was shocked how quickly results came from a workout that didn't leave me absolutely drained the rest of the day. I knew I was hooked on Barre Roots. I truly feel more stable on my feet with all the core strength I now have; my entire body is leaner and more toned. I am now pregnant again and continuing group classes- Kelly still makes sure to check in with me as my body is changing and I am adapting. Kelly will kick your ass but provide all the emotional support you need to keep you coming back!

I've taken Barre before, but never like this. Kelly's approach to classes is honest and engaging…read more She really makes you want to do more with proper alignment. I gave up on barre before because it felt like it was for folks that were already in shape. This class meets you where you are and progresses you to whatever level you are comfortable with--inspiring you all the way.

Good, not great. Three stars seems low for the complaint I have, but this issue is so prevalent, it…read morebecomes really annoying and a distraction. We workout late and have done it off and on for years, to avoid crowds. Yes lots of young people are on their phones, scrolling, looking at workouts (maybe), posting for sure! One young couple near the front window, seemed like they were having a date. Lots of touching, wrestling (I am not kidding!) the guy picking the girl up etc., followed by the guy removing his shirt and posing topless in front of the mirror. So much for rules. The girls at the counter were busy chatting and any other workers never see to go near these people. And yes, the 30 minute, yellow room, had various people just staying on one machine without moving. Unless you're going to go up (as another member) and ask them to move, AND clean the machine and reset it, you're not gonna bother. We are super flexible, so we just find equipment that is free, but the lack of any awareness of rules, or just gym etiquette, has to be a direct result of the employees not enforcing nay rules. Somethings have improved, but others have not. 4 stars for not having broken machines, cleanliness (we don't use the locker room, and almost never the bathrooms), and layout and available equipment. It's the people issues that seem constant.

Having a 24 hour gym is essential when you work off hours. Unfortunately this gym is allowing a…read morepart time employee to LIVE IN THE LOCKER ROOM! It is very uncomfortable using the shower and bathroom while a grown woman over the age of 50 is set up in there like it's her apartment. She has a chronic cough and vapes sending smoke all over the dressing room/shower area. The manager is fully aware as well as nighttime staff who have received SEVERAL complaints about the homeless employee. It's unfortunate that she doesn't have housing but living in the locker room is not the solution! The manager should look into renting this woman a room and or seek housing assistance from the county. If Planet Fitness wants to house their part time employee then they should put her in the back room and provide her a bed to sleep in there away from gym members who pay for a gym not a homeless shelter.
