New to the area and went into this dry cleaner. when the merchant totaled up my price it came to 72 dollars. I was shocked, I was charged 38 dollars to clean an above the knee no sleeve dress among other items. I have been getting items cleaned for years, most recently in Beverly MA and this seemed too high but I figured I would try out this place. Also they requested full payment prior to their service When I went back today, I placed my ticket on the counter and then the same women askes me to wait while she completed some tasks. I said okay and waited while this woman staples papers nd then began to straighten up her counter space.This process continued as I waited. This is not customer service I expected from this type of business especially after I paid top dollar for a service. I have never written a review and I will never go back. We care cleaners is definitely the wrong name for this establishment . don't go it's like "they" are doing us a favor ..... no we r paying customers. read more

Not very impressed. $28 to get a jacket dry cleaned and it took nearly a week to be ready. While I was being rung up, an Asian lady who worked there seemed to be in a foul mood (or perhaps just unfriendly) as she delivered dry cleaning from her vehicle to inside the business. I'll take my business elsewhere when I need anything else dry cleaned. read more

This past saturday my brother got married, got married in york after having a couple issues with his suit. Front counter staff at union bluff gave us we cares contact info.. my brother had 45 min to get it fixed before first look with his lovely bride.. some how they got my brother in fixed, and had two minutes to spare getting back.. Was looking through old reviews I've written and came across this one. Thought I'd update this one & weigh in, especially to give a review as a regular customer for 3 years & former local resident as opposed to sporadic or out-of-town customers. And no, I am not a "fake reviewer" - been a yelp member since 2009 & had Elite status for 5 years. This was our regular dry cleaner for the 3 years we lived & worked in the York area. Have used them for cleaning all manner of garments - suits, shirts, dresses, blankets, etc. Regarding pricing, this place isn't cheap in general. However, as someone who lived year-round in the Seacoast, I think dry cleaning seems more pricey in this region for some reason. Its a bit counter-intuitive coming from places with higher cost-of-living (Los Angeles, San Diego, etc). I don't know how the dry cleaning process works exactly but this is a rural area...so it kinda makes sense....less population. Otherwise, service was always friendly and our items cleaned as expected with no issues. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLEANERS! If I could leave negative stars I would. I don't leave reviews often, but I need to share my experience with you, so you don't get taken advantage of like I was. I currently live in California, but since both my husband and I used to live in Maine and also were engaged there we decided to have a destination wedding there! ... Everything was perfect, except the decision to go to We Care Cleaners. (because they don't care, at all!) I called ahead of time to ask how much it would be to get my Wedding Gown pressed, they said $75. That sounded like a lot to me, however my dress was very simple, fitted lace, so I thought it would be less once they saw it. Well, not the case, when I arrived with my dress, veil, groom & dad's suit, it seemed as though the woman was taking advantage of the fact that I was getting married, and from out of town... because she actually charged me more to get my simple dress pressed, $95! I should have known then to just leave. She told me it would be more since she wanted to press everything by hand, seeing that it was for such a special occasion. I had a ton of last minute wedding preparation to do, so I decided to just bite the bullet, pay the price and get a job well done (at least I thought). I sent my Mother-in-Law to pick everything up the day before my Wedding and when I unpacked the items, we noticed all the buttons on the suit jackets were so loose! Then I realized my beautiful hand painted dress hanger, from my high end wedding gown designer, was missing!! I was trying not to panic since it was the evening before my Wedding, but now I didn't have my pretty hanger for photos :(. My mom called right away to find out where the hanger was, and the woman said it must have gotten lost when they sent it out. Sent it out?!? WTF, I thought she was going to press everything BY HAND?! Anyway, the timing couldn't have been worse, there was nothing I could do at that point. To top it all off, my Bustle Broke in the middle of my Wedding reception and I'm sure it's because they were rough when steaming it, since the Suit Jacket buttons were also really loose. We called again the day after the Wedding to inquire about my beautiful hanger, and since we wouldn't have the time to pick it up before our flight, the lady said she would mail it to us. Three weeks pass, and no hanger, we called back and in an extremely rude and inconsiderate manner, she said "that's not on my mind right now!". Wow, that's some way to run a business, especially since we just dropped a couple hundred bucks to get a dress, veil and a couple suits pressed (not even cleaned!). This business wouldn't last anywhere else, it's just because they are the only ones in the area. Anyway, after all that, I'm counting my blessings that they didn't loose more important pieces, like my dress or veil!! phew... I hope no one else has to go through a similar hell, just do yourself a favor and DO NOT support "we couldn't care-less cleaners". read more

I used them sporadically in the past and now on a regular basis as I'm a full time local resident. My biggest complaint is their hours. They open after I go to work and close before I come home which means I am limited to Saturday's or my wife doing my errands. I am accustomed to a dry cleaner that has bag drop off and has later evening hours. I am hoping they are able to do something like that. read more

Don't use this dry cleaner. They own a sister business in Kittery that is also horrible. I have had any issues in the Kittery location. Lost clothing, shoddy alterations etc. I thought when I moved to York I would give them a try, not knowing at the time the two stores were connected. Since then they have lost an expensive quilt set and most recently a very expensive blazer. I have been calling the owner for several all days, multiple times without resolution. She keeps trying to tell me it is with the order I picked up and I am somehow missing it. She always says she will follow up with me and has yet to. I am not sure if they have employees that steal or that they simply cannot keep track of people's orders. At this point I expect cash for the worth of my favorite blazer or the blazer to be returned. Do yourself a favor and avoid the hassle here! read more

Completely ruined my suit. Made up some story that its normal for a suit to fail. Will be filing a small claims action. Crappy business decision on their part. No attempt to work through the issue even after taking the suit to another cleaner to verify that they ruined it. Avoid, avoid, avoid. read more

Have gone here for multiple years and no problems. They altered (Remade) a prom dress as well as altered bridesmaid dresses as well. They do all my normal dry cleaning too and no problems to report. Everything comes out clean and sparkly. read more
