HONEST REVIEW FROM MY EXPERIENCE HERE. This place is terrible, I requested screen replacement and they used a fake screen on my iphone 14 pro max (thousand dollar phone) and the bezel (outer ring of screen) is so obnoxiously big that it covers up vital sensors for the phones functionality. I can't even hang up phone calls on this phone because the raise to talk sensor is covered by the bezel and the phone thinks its still against my ear so the screen stays black and I can't do anything to get around this until the other line hangs up. Taking these guys to court for the damage done to my phone due to their faulty screen they put on my phone. They know what they are scamming people and they have done nothing to make this right for me. Brett, its laughable that you're posing as responsive and helpful on Yelp, when I did call you to resolve the issues I was getting with your cheap screen, I was met with a condescending attitude and your words exactly were that you would "listen to my complaints" about the screen not working and glitching my phones functionality. I didn't even bother; based on what he was saying, its typical for the phone to give warnings for Unrecongized Hardware that restricts the phone from using its full features after his repairs, and he says this is normal for him! From the conversation I had with him, his tone was adamant that he wasn't going to do anything further to resolve this. I replaced the screen with a store that did apple-authorized repairs and am no longer having these issues; Your screen was limiting my access on my phone because the bezels cover sensor that aren't supposed to be covered. Excuse me, I had an apple screen on my phone when I came in, not sure what junk I left with on my phone after. Terrible customer service and the goofs working here are crooked, immature, and not responsible for keeping your hardware running to spec, they just want your money, based on their work, I'd even assume they don't plan on staying in business for long. Save yourself the headaches and complications and go to a real phone repair shop with real hardware. Mahalo Update: I will be seeing you in court for the damages you caused to my phone which prevented its intended use and features. I had to pay for a replacement screen, which corrected the damages your screen caused and you will pay for the cost of the repair or the $256 you ripped me off for being the shady business that you are. That's your choice. My phone is working fine after having your cheap screen replaced and I'd like to add that the screen you used was so bulky that it affected other hardware like the vibration switch which is working fine after replacing the screen. (It was not working with your screen in my phone) Also, again the raise-to-speak feature is working after replaced from your cheap screen, because the sensor it relies on is no longer being blocked by the bezel. Your screen was preventing full use of my phone causing it to malfunction. You messed up and are stubborn on owning up to your mistakes. You are very misleading and a snake oil salesman. In March my iPad screen cracked on the bottom edge, not a huge crack but it was visually kind of bothersome, so I took it in for a screen replacement. They fixed it pretty quick and it was about 200$. When I got it home, there was a line of dead pixels across the screen (see picture), so I took it back in. They apologized and re-fixed it. I got it home and that line of pixels kept reappearing. My Apple Pencil also didn't work on the screen anymore, like there are dead spots on the screen where it doesn't work. When I called, the guy on the phone (I think Dane?) said "Something happened to it from when we fixed it and when you got it back, because it *was* working fine when I tested it." I guess meaning that I broke it in the 5 minute car ride home at some point..? He also said that because of me they were "out money" because the screens are so expensive, and he'd had to fix it twice. He said they'd rather just refund me the cost of the repair rather than try and fix it again. I reached out to get refunded, and they left the message on read. So now I'm out 200$ with a still broken iPad screen. I was surprised because I'd read some good reviews, but it was a pretty bad experience. I'm a student, and I did not have the money to try and replace it again somewhere else. I use my iPad for all my notes and textbooks, so this situation really was not great. Overall just very weird? Weird to accuse me of breaking it the day of repair (why would I do that?), weird to tell me they were out money because of me, and also pretty weird to offer a refund and then just never reach out again. As the owner of the highly successful repair shop "GadgetGuyz" on Queen Street. When I retired a few years back I had many calls everyday from new and previous customers. Several customers after getting over the shock that their favorite phone tech had retired and closed up shop went seeking a new repair shop. When asked for a referral all the shops i knew of were really only about the money, the opposite of my philosophy. Several customers called back to tell me that they found Brett and Dane to be very good at fixing phones. This was good info so I went to check them out. One of my customers came in that i had referred while I was in their shop "We Fix Phones" They were able to offer some options, of which to me, would be good but I had another angle. They advised they didn't go out of their way like I would, however, it is likely why I got stressed meeting the unexpected needs of some customers. Create a policy and stick to it. Still i put myself in the customers shoes and THAT my friends is why people loved my attitude. The guyz, Brett & Dane have learned how to be more flexible and for that I now refer all customers, still calling me after closing nearly 4 years ago. There is much to say about being human to the customers but also calling them out on BS and getting a bad Yelp review. Some control freaks will always complain even when you've gone over and above and I didn't tolerate it. I was always kind but I knew when to say "no" & "enough is enough" This job can be rewarding if you can spot the control freaks right off and diswade them from seeking my services. When you are credible you only want credible people and it goes both ways so Brett & Dane...keep up the good work and keep learning. My son had gone to the Apple Store earlier in the afternoon where he was told the phone was unfixable due to the screws being stripped. The genius didn't ask for an alternate contact number and told him to come back 90 minutes later. When he did return, they said they wouldn't open the phone due to the condition of the screws even through he told them his service warranty had expired. So he waited there for nothing. I jumped into the ocean with my phone in my pocket. I noticed very quickly and got out. My phone kept working as usual and I was hoping nothing would go wrong. Unfortunately after a few days, I started seeing glitches. And display started going out. I knew it was only a matter of time before it's too late. So I quickly found this spot and walked in with my wife. Dane was fixing other peoples phone. They were getting ready to close but he was willing to look at the issue. He quickly opened up my IPhone 12 and found where the salt had started corrode the display board. Thankfully the water didn't get in any further and I only needed to change the display. They also threw in a screen protector for free which I appreciate. I didn't have any price comparisons so I don't know if I got a good deal. I went back and forth with deciding whether or not i'd be writing a review, because I'm usually not one to leave these type of reviews but after the events that took place over the last two months I'd figure I share my story. I dropped and broke the screen of my Iphone15 late august. My sister had recommended bret because he always did a great job fixing her phones over the years. We reached out to him and he was at my house to fix my phone within an hour. I was charged $300 for a new screen. I use this phone for work so it was crucial I had it repaired asap. Everything seemed to be great until a got white strobing light down my screen three days later. I reached out to him a second time and he told me to come down to his shop in Mccully so he could take a look. I told him that my phone was resting on the dresser when the screen started malfunctioning with strobing lights. He explained that theres a possibility the screen could have been "bugged or defective" and he would replace it. But.... he would charge me another $150 because he needed to make some kind of money off this service. At this point i should have went elsewhere but because i was so desperate to have a phone for work purposes I ended up paying the extra $150 and he threw in a screen protector for free. He then stated "If anything else happens please call me, at this point you have a lifetime warranty with me for the amount of money youv'e spent in a weeks time". About a week passes and the bottom of my screen starts glitching and blacking out again, we call bret and he basically tells me "You need to be more careful next time" as if i dropped and shattered my phone to cause this issue. He walks me through master resetting my phone which was a temporary fix because my screen would black out and glitch every couple of days again anyways. When asking if he could fix it again he tells me "Man i already am losing out so much money trying to help you, I cant do these things for free." Proceeds to blame it on Iphone15's being a lot more harder to work on and the parts being pricier. At this point I'm upset because in total i spent $450 on not one but two faulty screens in less than a months time. Fast forward to 10/30/24, my phone screen blacks out randomly and does not turn back on. I tried master resetting it and it just doesn't work. There's no proof of dropping or damages to the screen. Just a complete blacked out screen. Unfortunately, i do not have the time or energy to ask for him to repair it a third time and argue. I do not live in town and with my job i can't afford to be without a phone for a few days. I took my phone to an apple certified shop paid $410 for a brand new screen with no issues. $860 Total spent just to have a simple screen replaced. I feel so taken advantage of. I wish i could get a refund back of some sort but i know that wont happen. He could barely replace a faulty screen for free. Please keep this in mind when bringing your phones here especially if you have newer iphones. read more

I had my phone repaired with these guys in april 22 of this year. The repair didn't last long. I took my phone to the manufacturers recommended repair shop. They took apart the phone and told me that screws were missing connections were barely holding on. telling me that the phone is unrepairable. the phone had not been opened since you had worked on it. I have used Brett's phone repair services twice and he was very pleasant and repaired my phone very quickly both times. This time, my phone screen was cracked and hanging on by pieces of scotch tape, and I just let it be for a week or so until my eyes started to get sore from straining to see content on my phone's deteriorating screen. I didn't need to leave my apartment because Brett was mobile and drove to my location, and we got my screen replaced and paid for in about 15 minutes (it costed $95).
