I did research around 2 months before my daughter's 4th birthday because she said she wanted to celebrate with both family and friends. I love celebrating my daughter so we went to a bunch of places near our area, and decided on We Rock the Spectrum Gaithersburg. It's not the first time I've had an event at a play gym, so I kind of knew what to expect. I met Pam when we came to visit, and she was also there to welcome me when I came to drop off decorations on the event date. I never do things half way, so if I plan a party, I'll do it in my style. I wanted to decorate it myself and since the room was free, she let me in and said I could set up. The party was a success. All the kids had a blast! We had the whole area for 2 hours, 4-6pm, the time flew and around 5:40pm, I asked Pam if I could extend time, an hour or 30 min. I felt Kristina was rude in telling me it would be $175 for an extra hour and she was clearly annoyed. I looked over at Pam and tried asking, but we left it at an extra 30 minutes for $75. The party for the kids was great, but I left feeling a certain way. Kristina had charged me $500 for the room (which is now $600), $75 for an extra 30 minutes, and $30 for hanging some items. They ordered the food for us and the pizza box had a receipt charge of $137.24, but she charged me $185 for the food. It felt very nickel and dime. I didn't leave feeling that good considering the party went well, because of this and how she acted that day. I paid $75 for an extra 30 minutes til 6:30pm, and at 6:20pm, she started yelling "5 more minutes!." It could have been better, and when my husband asked me why the food was more expensive than it should have been, I called Pam to ask and shared my feelings. She apologized and explained Kristina was having a bad day and refunded to me the tip I left of $50. The space is very good for kids, the service we got could have been a lot better. I was going to leave 3 stars, but she may have been just having a bad day. The space and zipline is awesome for a kids birthday party!

This is a wonderful place for the under six crowd. There was much to do and the kids had a blast. It appears to be clean and well run. I was very pleased!

This is a great place for my 2 year old. She loves the trampoline, climbing equipment, and toys. It has pretty much everything. We spend all day here: 10am to 3pm on some weekdays. You can eat your lunch here. The owners are super nice. I forgot my phone in the bathroom once, and as I was getting into my car, she ran out to return it to me. Highly recommend .

I was trying to edit my review on Google, instead it got deleted. Since Google apparently doesn't let those review to go through, I will post the original and the edited review here. I posted more photos on Google, but they were deleted as well. :( So, I'm sharing what I have right now. Updated version of the review: It's been a year since I've been going to this place. Since the time they opened (around 2021) and the review is written in Dec. 2022. Couple of things 1. Now on weekdays there can be kids from MCPS for 1-2 hours. The reason why we went to this playground during the week is because it was one of the emptiest playgrounds in the county within 20 min drive. Now with older kids from MCPS it's not as empty during the week. I'd be happier if there would have been something about it on Facebook (like that hey, there will be older kids!). 2. It's in photos too. I understand all of this inclusion and LGBT stuff, but I don't approve it for the little kids. So, this review is basically so that parents with little kids that love reading would be beware that there are books about inclusion and stuff. I don't want my kid to be around LGBT stuff before, at least he will be in school, not when he is younger than 5-6 years old (he will have his whole life surrounded with this stuff!). In photos are what the book is about. So, I'm updating my review to 1 star so that those two things would be noticeable. The playground itself is nice, my son loves dogs and playing with toys. Old version of the review: Love how clean this is and not many people. And a lot of things to do for different age groups!

There are two open gyms - one with 4 courts for beginners and intermediate players and the other with 3 courts for advanced players. In addition to drop-ins, free beginners clinics are also provided on Fridays between 8:30 am and 10 am. These helpful clinics are conducted by advanced player volunteers and they are very beneficial for those who are interested in learning to play pickleball for the first time. Pickleball is offered indoor at Bohrer Activity Center during Fall, Winter and Spring sessions. For the summer months, it is moved outdoor to Diamond Farms Park, Gaithersburg. For each indoor session, there is a fee of $3 for Gaithersburg residents and $4 for non-residents for participating in the drop-ins and clinics which is a good deal when compared to other indoor court time or activities. There is no fee for outdoor sessions however. So beginners will get free clinics outdoor on Fridays. So for those who are interested in the fastest growing sports in U.S., we are fortunate to have this facility with venues for all levels of skills nearby. You may want to contact City of Gaithersburg (see link below) for the period when they move outdoor prior to venturing out to Bohrer Park. https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/recreation/sports/adult-sports-programs

From the pictures on Yelp I expected the scene to be a bit more of lush greenery and even maybe some rose bushes. When I went to the park, it was a bit more barren and ides of winter than I was hoping for. That being said, the quaint little cozy stroll of a park is located right in old town Gaithersburg behind a large apartment complex that I'm CERTAIN gets its fill of it during the spring and summer. The park has AMPLE amounts of seating. Bench swings line the entry path which also has a little pavillion that could host a number of different happenings - first thoughts go to band stand. Then on the path you find a circled group of seats that evoke King arthur and the knights of the roundtable vibes. Most especially because the head chair at 12 o clock - crafted of large branches can only be considered a throne of sorts. Stroll further in the park and you find a lengthy sand village, complete with miniature log houses, outlined in stumps, and to me gives off the impression of a Japanese sandy zen garden. There are 2 slides built into the side of a hill that tempt the childhood in me. And another large sunken circular pit that has tree stumps to sit in. At the end of a garden is a water pump that has a little downspout into a creek. Of course... I tried the waterpump and the well was unfortunately dry. But, as a kid I could only imagine the fun when it's really going. It seems like Constitution Gardens has the potential of a young nation that just asserted its independence from its empire. I really pray that it's somewhat untended to current condition is just it's current hibernation phase from the winter. Because man oh man can you just imagine the fun that kids would have here, and the VARIOUS spots that parents could congregate and come together for rich and vibrant conversations about their community. I will go back to the gardens later in the Spring to see if it's lived up to it's inherent potential. I truly can't wait.

Located in the Fallsgrove area, the community center is both convenient to my office and a very affordable gym option. The facilities (all brand new) include a big basketball court, a ping-pong room, a fitness room with weight and cardio machines, a playground outside for the kiddies, a community garden that's starting to grow, and a few rooms for classes/events. And, the building was built with many sustainable features (i.e. geothermal heating, locally sourced materials, efficient water faucets) I've been a fitness member for a while which means I can access the fitness room whenever the center is open. On top of that I take a weekly kickboxing class that is a lot of fun (but also kicks my butt.) I really like that I can take as many or as few classes as I want and just pay for what I actually use through the Parks & Rec department. At typical membership gyms, you pay an inflated fee to pay for all these classes you don't even go to and all the personal trainers to annoy you to take a training session and all the sales people to haggle with you over an extra $5 off the 'joining fee'. Here you can pay a flat rate and get access for a month, 3 months, 6 months, or a year. And there is a discount if you're a resident of Rockville. The community center also has community events like basketball tournaments, festivals for kids, teen movie nights, and other family oriented things that are a nice addition to the area. I haven't tried these out as I don't play basketball, am not a kid nor am I a teen but they look like fun family functions. Overall I highly recommend TFCC and am very satisfied, especially since I don't have to commit to a membership gym!
