I don't think I've been more hassled before. I came here to get a document notarized and they did not accept a foreign passport as ID. It's good enough for the TSA but not these people! UPDATE 11/7: I've updated my review to 3 stars because the general manager AR contacted me today apologizing for his employee's rude behavior. He also offered to refund half of my fees, which was unexpected and appreciated. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews of anything--positive or negative, so it means something that I'm posting here. I'm using this office to help with my divorce because I can't do it on my own, and I can't afford a lawyer. The first few interactions were fine, but then I had some questions on some of the paperwork they typed up. I sent them the questions by email because I have almost no time to call during business hours. They ignored my questions and told me to make the corrections on the paper and fax it to them. Since they didn't answer my questions, I wrote them on the paper also. I was told to call on my way home so they could clarify my corrections. Fine, no problem. I call, and as soon as Afaf answered the phone, she spoke to me so rudely I couldn't believe it. I had to remind her that I was the customer, so she shouldn't be yelling at me. Then, I went in to sign some papers today, and things were fine until she started in again about how I have to call or come in person-they can't spend their time emailing back and forth. What am I paying them for if they can't be bothered to answer emails? I tried explaining that my main reason for being upset was not even the email thing but that she was so rude when I called her. After all this, she never attempted to apologize, even after I had pointed out that fact. If I hadn't already paid them my $500, I wouldn't continue, but I'm stuck now! read more

When I first met Afaf a couple of years ago for the first time in the Pasadena office, she was very professional and polite. I was happy that I had finally found a legal service that seemed reasonable in pricing and what appeared to be with good customer service. I even referred much business to that office immediately after. I myself have been a return customer, but overtime Afaf has become rude and impatient and will not help if there is no further money involved. I experienced this with her in the past, but chucked it to possibly her having a bad day. It's a pattern. She has to stand behind her work and see it through. Instead, I had to make all the calls and do all the research to find out what went wrong in this service's process. If something is already fully paid for, she won't care to help address an issue that was caused by her office. Or she will even tell you it's a favor that she is even spending time talking to you ( in this case, about the error in filing through her supposedly courier service for which I paid an additional $70). In short, very disappointed in the repeated bad attitude from her, not to mention her unwillingness to help correct an error in HER process. There was a form that had to be filed separately with its own recording number which didn't happen because she had attached the form to the deed. The change in the title did not happen because this form did not get recorded. She is telling me to fill out that form again on my own and file it again on my own. I have paid her office handsomely for it already many months ago. Next time I will drive further but won't give her more business, not to mention all the people I already sent her way...That's what happens over time, I guess, when they get a lot of business.
