No question was left unanswered, and he invited me back if any further inquiries arose. Because of Jivan, I consider myself a loyal Weathford customer. This was a first-class experience that made me feel appreciated as a customer. A rare thing these days. I hope BMW knows what a gift Jivan is to the company. I had a pre-booked oil change appointment at 9:00 AM, made three weeks in advance. I showed up on time, but after four hours, nothing had been done. When I asked for an update, I was told they were "backed up due to the holiday." That excuse doesn't fly when appointments are scheduled well in advance. Kashka Clay, the service advisor and his manager, didn't apologize or try to make the situation right. He simply offered to reschedule me after wasting half my day. No accountability, no courtesy, and no respect for my time and money. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Completely disorganized and dismissive. I will never return, and I highly recommend others avoid this place if you value your time and basic professionalism. I can see why there's a lot of one stars for their service on yelp. read more

Overall I had an excellent experience when recently purchasing a new i4. Glenn was very helpful and patient going above and beyond to accommodate some unique requests. No pressure was put in me other than the usual that one would expect at the end of the year/quarter/month when incentives will be ending, etc. Only turn off during to whole process was the final discussion with the business office before signing in the dotted line when you are being pushed to purchasing extended warranties. I know that for some people these types of plans have value or provide peace of mind, but I have never found that to be the case. When I declined I was made to feel like I was making a grave error that I would later come to regret. I understand that dealerships need to make more and these add-ons are a great source of revenue, but when you are selling BMWs I would hope that it could be done better. I am paying a premium for a premium product, so don't tell me it is gonna break. If I only cared about price I would have bought a Tesla. read more

They're scammy upsetting is a red flag. The fact they destroyed my electrical system which had zero problems before I took it for am oil change. I brought it home, and it never started again. I had to pay yo have it towed back to have them tell me I had to pay $350 for them to diagnose it. Then raised it to $700 when I proved the service rep was wrong abd that there was no doubt it was their fault. See you in court ! Out of the 3 states Ive lived in, this is the WORST customer/service I've ever received at a BMW dealer, ever. I requested a simple diagnostic print out. After I didn't fall for any of their upselling tricks, they refused to work on my car. Here's what happened: - Initial diagnostic results were "your battery is dead"...duh. I requested they charge/jump it, turn it on and do an actual diagnostic. - Receptionist Angela, thinking this is my only car, attempts to put me under time pressure by saying she would have to ask if they can do that but I'd have to wait 4 days bc the person is out. You mean to tell me Weatherford BMW cant charge a battery? Alright. - Receptionist Angela told me I had to pay $900 for a new battery just to turn the car on. - I paid for a mobile service to come put a new battery in it. Angela tells me BMW dealers cant work on cars w/o an official BMW battery. - I went down to the dealer to talk to the service manager and magically service manager Jacob said they can in fact charge the battery and do the diagnostic without the $900 official BMW battery. - I leave. 15 mins later Jacob calls me and magically the car is on and they have done an initial diagnostic! Again magic! - Jacob says an additional, deeper diagnostic is needed...OKAY JACOB, JUST DO THE DIAGNOSTIC! Am I speaking a foreign language? Like...Im confused. - I tell them would like to get this completed before I go out of town bc I wont be readily avail. A week goes by. Apparently they sent an email w/the diagnostic results. Angela texts me saying that if I don't respond to the email to approve the work they would start charging me a daily storage fee. - The diagnostic results were as follows : I need new window wipers, and you guessed it - an additional diagnostic for an oil leak AND another misc diagnostic (no reason stated). Goodness gracious! What is the end game here? Just do the diagnostic! I approve the window wipers (just to make them feel like they sold me on something) and 2 diagnostics. - A week later Jacob calls me to say the mechanic doesn't feel comfortable working on the car. Im not asking him to work on it. Im asking for a diagnostic. They cant do that. - I request they fix my back window bc its down. The clip, a $20 piece, is broken. (which ironically was not on any of the "diagnostics"). He says well when we turned the car on it wouldn't roll up so I don't think it will roll up. Again, duh! ITS BROKEN. Thats why its down. I had protection coverage in place, but instead of receiving help, I was treated with disrespect, indifference, and outright dismissal by their service manager. From the beginning, he made no effort to listen or assist -- and refused to even provide a written reason for denying my wheel/rim protection claim. Came in for a service appointment due to my tire losing air. I was assisted by Angelina. She provided great customer service. She checked me in pretty soon after I arrived. She showed me the bail that was in my tire. She went over what I would be charged for explaining everything in detail. She let me know that I would be receiving updates by text. I let her know I would need a Lyft to return to pick up my car. She told me she would set that up once the service had been completed. She also let me know my car would be washed and vacuumed which I greatly appreciated. I was updated timely. She text as promised to get my pick up information and the Lyft was scheduled as promised. Angelina even sent a follow up text on Monday to verify that everything was well and I was satisfied with my service. Best service I have received since coming to BMW. I recommend you avoid going here. I am incredibly disappointed with the service I received and feel I have been taken advantage of. I brought my car in and mentioned the broken headlight ring. This is a common problem with Minis and the repair should have been under warranty. They insist that I should have explicitly said that I believed it was covered under my warranty, but if they were looking out for me as their customer, they would also have assumed that it was under warranty, or at least checked to find out rather than assuming it was not covered and rushing to charge me. When I got home from picking up my car, I realized that the other headlight ring is also damaged. This is a clearly a defect in this car and should be covered by my warranty. I was charged unfairly and attempts to resolve this have been ignored. You will have better luck at Concord Mini. read more

I called various BMW dealerships across the North Bay, Peninsula, South Bay, and East Bay for allocations of a new BMW model that I wanted to purchase. At the time, Weatherford was the most polite and also only dealer offering waitlist slots without a markup or mandatory add-ons. I paid my refundable deposit in May, received an allocated in July, and then picked up the car in October. Many of the interactions were through phone, text, and email which made it relatively painless and easy to schedule. When it was time to pay, there was absolutely no tricks on the agreed upon price, and they were even were able to beat 7 other bank/credit union finance rates in the area. Additionally, when I noticed that the rear brakes were missing these cosmetic "design clips" that might be lost during transit, Weatherford covered the parts for free. Thanks to Su (sales) and Ben (finance) for making my first BMW purchase honest and seamless. If I end up buying another BMW, I'll be sure to ask for them again. read more

Whether by email, text, or phone Johnny was super-fast responsive, which is highly important to me. So many other dealers (traditional and online) failed on responsiveness and together with having the right car is the main reason we went with Johnny and Weatherford. Additionally Johnny kept us informed on the progress of delivery every step of the way. As for the dealership itself, it is very conveniently located in Berkeley with lots of parking and access to roads and freeways for test drives. I had my brakes checked at weatherford two separate times because it just didn't feel right. Both time they said it was fine. Few months later the brake pad fell apart and I had to get a brake job done. When I spoke to the service department manager and explained the history to him. His response was " I don't know how you drive the car. I can't be responsible for this". I can't wear the pad on one side and not the other. All they did was read the wear bar and tell me it is fine The pad was never set properly, and weatherford did the brake job originally. They are lazy in their work and the attitude sucks. I have had a few issues with weatherford in the past, I thought with Sunwise ownership it may be different. I have bought 4 BMWs from this location. I am done with them period. The $3,000 Oil Change, (that didn't include wiper fluid). 3 years of Annual BMW Oil Changes all for $299? Sounds like a pretty good deal when you're accustomed to paying $250 every time, right? So in good faith, we took our 2007 BMW 328i down to Weatherford BMW on a Friday morning for the first of our 3 annual $100 oil changes. Drove up, instantly impressed with the comfortable customer-centrics: Complimentary water and cappuccinos, Everything white and glass and settled-in for what we expected might be a quick and pleasant 90 minutes. 90 minutes became 2 hours and then 3 hours turned into 4.5, no word from our service guy, finally went on the hunt, no one seemed to know, another lengthy run-around to find out what had become of our simple oil change, remember that? It slowly dawned on us we were in the Twilight Zone. When we finally caught up with somebody who could tell us what was happening, they hemmed and hawed about the Oil Pan threads being stripped, and how this necessitated installing a new oil pan, and that would be $1,000. Oh, not to mention the "labor" for this effort = roughly $2,500. Our service rep kept delivering this pain in the most cheerful way as our jaws and our hearts couldn't drop or sink any lower. When we were finally able to come to our senses, we asked to speak with his supervisor: the service department manager. When we relayed our shock and awe, the service manager cheerfully offered to "work with us" and offered to provide all items at cost, instead of their customary markup. By now the afternoon was long in the tooth and we were starting to wonder how and if, this ordeal would ever end. By 5 o'clock a loaner car was offered, and this being the Friday (from Hell) we expected maybe by Saturday this would be sorted out. Please keep in mind that by now, our cheerful little errand to get a Friday afternoon oil change had become a nightmare of open-ended extra charges and "loaner car" bone saw with no sedatives. We figured that we'd get a dutiful update by Monday, but it wasn't until Tuesday when we had to call and remind them who we were and what the problem was. Once the fellow collected himself and checked with his superiors, he told us in the most cheerful way that they didn't have the necessary parts (the entire oil pan ? ) on hand and it would have to be ordered -- we were hoping he might have ordered it already ! Not, "We don't have that we will have to order. " "Uh, so have you ordered it? And when do you expect to receive this?" We stammered. We'll spare you the rest of the nightmare and cut to the chase. We had to go another 12 days ( !) And when finally the original oil changed car was ready, we were presented with a bill for $3,400! We went to the sales manager to express our shock and the pleasantly well-dressed fellow seemed to only understand this saga from the standpoint of the dealership ... they started an oil change, somehow, something went terribly awry and then endeavoring to fix it but accepting zero responsibility for any culpability in creating this mess. it seems to us that if you take something apart but then can't put it back together properly, it really isn't the customers fault. Shouldn't a major brand like BMW have reasonable solutions available without hanging the customer out to dry? Could they have met us half way and earned our loyalty? Remember the original deal? Three years of annual oil changes for $299. We weren't interested in ever going through this again and when we proposed that they return our "unused 2 oil change charges " ($199), even this modest accommodation was met with some incredulity but in all fairness they did this quickly and quietly and our final bill was $3,120. And you know what? They were supposed to refill all the fluids, like windshield wiper liquid, this occurred to us when we drove off the lot and our wiper fluid was empty. A first world problem yes, but medieval execution at best. read more

Recently brought my vehicle in for several recalls ...dissapointed to not be given a loaner vehicle because they had run out of them ...I'm guessing it was more of a customer priority type issue..my old 2006 bmw with recalls isn't the same as a newer customer dropping off?! I went to drop off my car for an oil change and was assigned Seth Bodek as my service advisor. He seemed surprised that I had "purchased the car new"--maybe he should step out of his cave more often. Anyway, he tried to upsell me on additional services, which I declined. Then, he informed me that a policy change at the beginning of the year now limits them to offering a ride in only one direction. This policy was never mentioned on their website or during the appointment booking process--only after I had signed all the paperwork. That's really poor customer service and communication from the service department. The parts department is good at finding the correct part. However they're not good at or in the correct part they just found. Ordered a piece of plastic for $60 for my engine. They pulled it from another location and told me I would be notified when it came in. I called them a week later and they said the parts here. So no notification apparently. When I drove down on my lunch break I took 20 minutes out of my schedule to drive each way to pick up the part. However, they ordered the wrong part. I asked if they can send the correct part to my home instead of me coming back to this location. The advisor told me it would be another $25 for shipping. I told him I would come back on Friday. So I have to take another 40 minutes out of my life and waste my time and my gas for somebody else's mistake? I will be back Friday to pick up my part and this will be the last time I visit this location including when I'm ready to buy my next vehicle next month. Cost of a lost client, $25. read more

After I tried to get more information about the policy, he hung up on me. I called back and basically got a resistant attitude "what do you want? I've been dealing with BMW dealers for the last 20 years and this is the first time I've heard a dealer flatly refuse to give out part number. Took a trip to the department, met with the supervisor of the department, explained the situation while Dennis was right there - no apologies tendered for the unprofessional conduct. Perhaps that is company policy too of the Sunwise/Weatherford group. Placed a call to another dealership right as I stepped out and got part number - no questions asked. I would consider ordering from a different dealership if it weren't for the convenience of coming here and the fact that I had an urgent part that needed to be ordered. But that was a waste of time because I ended up getting what I needed from a different dealership with just a minute phone call. By the way the policy here is counter-intuitive: nothing stops a customer from ordering a part from the department, getting the part number off the box and returning the item. Just a dumb policy since other dealers have no problem giving out this information. read more
