When I went to pick up my truck, it had bird droppings on it. The exterior was waxed over bugs on the front of the grill. The door jams, trunk and some vinyl on the interior was not wiped down. The owner did agree to fix it which I declined because you inspected the truck and actually thought it was ok which is scary. Save your money and go elsewhere.

With an older car (assuming it is in good mechanical condition) and no collusion insurance, one…read moremoderately inexpensive way to fix that car after an accident, is to remove parts (especially body parts and certain mechanical parts, e.g., the radiator) and use them instead of new parts. However, it takes a good auto body shop with skilled personnel to provide that expertise and service. Central Illinois did an excellent job on my car; they even found a Kia sportage (blown engine) of the same color to use for parts for my car, to eliminate the cost of a new paint job. FYI, with insurance, the insurance company will often pressure you to select a repair shop that will use cheaper new parts to save the insurance company money. YOU MAKE the FINAL SELECTION for the repair shop, so work that has an insurance company behind it would ALSO be best done at a reputable and highly competent body shop, like Central Illinois.

We took our vehicle here on the recommendation of a friend. Initially looked like it was gonna be a decent shop, but that changed rather quickly. This shop that does mediocre work. I say that because they supposedly fix cars for a living, but the customer has to point out damage that they said was fixed but wasn't. They called and said your car is done. Get there to pick it up and damage that we showed them when we dropped it off wasn't even addressed. So we leave it there to be fixed. During the time the shop had the vehicle in their possession it was damaged on the opposite side. I know this for a fact, because we have photos from when we bought the vehicle and their photos from when it was dropped off to be repaired. During its time at John's (ANTI) Auto Body Shop. Someone damaged my vehicle. We pointed this out to them and were basically brushed off and told we didn't do it. As not to go into a lengthy post. They said not our problem and have a nice day. The owner flat out said they weren't doing anything about it and to turn it in on a new claim. We tried to explain that the damage was not there when we bought the car or when we dropped it off. It's a deep scratch on the right side about 5 inches in length. I am generally willing to be understanding and try to work with people, but I take exception to someone calling me out and saying that I'm lying about something I know for a fact wasn't there. I was forced to make this group and post to help others avoid mistakes and getting treated like this. Take your car here at your own risk. Their work is shoddy and mediocre at best, especially when you have to point out what they should have seen when they first worked on it. In closing. If the owner is so sure his guys didn't damage my vehicle, then why did it take me pointing out work they missed in the first place? Obviously not too sharp or attentive to details and talking out both sides of his mouth. A pic of the damage and the others for reference when it was dropped off. I picked it up on a Saturday and was told they would call me on Monday to clean it. So more of my time and travel. No phone call. I called and they had me bring it back and they got me a rental car. When Jeremy called me he said I guarantee it's clean and done right this time. I picked it up and got home and the back of my jeep was clearly not cleaned. White dust everywhere still All over the back of the seats and and floor of the vehicle. Ridiculous! He told me to let the truck get dirty, and he could re-detail it in about 2 weeks. I said, "No, thats ok... why would I have you detail my truck if it took you three times to fix the repairs, could not detail the truck right the first time, and I have not heard from them since.
