Sherri was great! It was so stinking hot and she was out there going over the vehicle like a pro. She was efficient and got everything taken care of quickly. I did not get the price I had hoped for,, because the warning light for the airbag came on when she was driving the car!!! (Which I found quite amusing!) Initially I wanted to tell the attendant Sherri to leave, but I thought she is maybe having a bad day, she was disrespectful, annoying and argumentative, again I thought maybe her day was not going good. I was selling my car and after I left I was going to my next appointment with a potential buyer she call me and offered me the amount I was looking for, when I went back again she was argumentative and disrespectful to say the least, so I left, I wanted to tell her how ignorant she was but I just left without selling the vehicle of course I missed the chance to sell it with the other potential buyer which at that point offered less money concerned that the previous individual did not buy it. Remember her name and request another person for the transaction, perhaps some others may have better attitude. read more

STEER CLEAR OF 'we buy any car' located at 2331 Mill Road Alexandria, VA 22314. My horrible experience started when I entered my information online in order to sell my car. The valuation came out to be $3,950 So I went to 'we buy any car' in Alexandria at 10 AM. I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes before I was told that would get $2040 for my car. I explained to them that I received a valuation online for almost double that price. The excuse I received made me even more frustrated. Apparently they give you a high price in order to reel you in, and when you actually go in they give you less than 50% of the price you received online. When I requested to speak to the branch manager Patrick McAteer he told rudely told me that if you don't want to sell it then donate it to us. So don't disrespect yourself and go to this place where the manager thinks he can step all over your dignity. read more

Within moments of arriving I was informed that there had been "some sort of problem with the valuation model." A $6800 valuation online turned into a $4000 valuation in person, within 45 seconds. I am not naive enough to believe they were going to give me the online valuation, but an offer 40% less than their online model, and 2K less than the lowest trade valuations on KBB and NADA is a bit much. I should have known this was a total ripoff and classic bait and switch. I went into google to google selling a car on carmax and up pops webuyanycar.com at the top of the list. I filled the information to include that the car needs repairs. The air conditioner is broken. The site came back with an estimated value of 800.00. The car had recently passed the Virginia safety inspection. I made an appointment to have the car checked out on Monday (two days later). I immediately got an email confirming the appointment. The next day I got a call and two more emails. Informing that I would be there and the caller actually questioning why I had to stop at the bank (to get the title). When I got to the office there were no signs or guidance on how to find the office. After calling the number the appraiser came out to get me in the lobby. The appraiser said the value would be dependent on his appraisal. He did his inspection in a parking lot the test drove the car. He came back exposing first it was a Saturn which is a big black mark. The he noted that the AC didn't work and the brakes were mushy. He said considering it was a Saturn and needed work he would give me 50.00 junk yard price (he said). I folded up my paperwork and said no. I would donate the car before selling for 50.00. Five minutes after leaving the office I got a call with the appraiser offering me 200.00. By that time I realized I had been played as a sucker. If Saturns are not worth that much and even if you say it needs work why does their site say it's worth over 800.00. This is not a case of one office doing bait and switch to get people in the door, but an organized company wide manipulation of potential sellers. Be forewarned when using this company. MW read more
