I've been taking my engagement/wedding ring to Wechsler & Goodman for over 8 years for cleanings, sizing and checking the stone settings. They do such an amazing job! It is especially nice that they can size it for you on the spot so you don't have to leave your ring and come back. I have also had a gold necklace repaired by them and they did a fantastic job with that, too! About 2 years ago, they warned me that the platinum on the band of my ring was thinning and would need reinforcement in about a year or so. They were so right and it wore very thin due to the design of the custom ring. I recently brought it back to them, was given a very fair quote and within a week it was repaired and ready for pick up and it is absolutely beautiful! Darren was super friendly and had my ring resized in just a few hours. If I could give these guys a Million out of Five I would. Darren was extremely nice, outgoing, and did what exactly what I wanted him to do. He measured my ring size to make sure exactly what size to size down to, ensured me that he would have it ready for me and my request was not too difficult. Other jewelry places told me that sizing my size 5 ring down to a 3 would be too risky, diamonds would fall out from the band, and it would take weeks to complete. Darren had it done in less than an hour, my diamonds are in tact, and it looked just as beautiful when he gave the ring back to me. He even told me a cheap way to clean my diamond myself, but I probably will just trust him to clean my ring because I felt so comfortable with him. Best part is instead of paying close to $250 to get my ring sized, he only charged me $45.. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place and about Darren but I would highly recommend him and this place for your sizing needs. Absolutely the best. Brides beware, this place only guarantees their rings for three months. I had my wedding band made here by "Darin". He used the diamonds I brought to him. Within 3 months, one of the diamonds fell out of my ring. I was lucky because I found it in the bottom of the shower. I took it back and he fixed it. I figured it was a fluke.Then about three months later, the diamond FELL OUT AGAIN. This time it was totally lost. Obviously, I was upset these were the diamonds from my original wedding ring. How lame is that?? This place is super inconvenient with downtown parking and short hours, not a place you want to have to keep running back to have them fix their mistakes. Anyway, my hubby and I went today, I just wanted him replace the diamond and have the 2nd repair done at another jewelery store. I had lost all faith in this place. Okay. then the jeweler totally FLIPPED out! He told us about three times: "It's only jewelry"! I only guarantee my work for THREE MONTHS, this is probably YOUR fault anyway... ....end of conversation...NOW....GET OUT OF HERE!!! Needless to say, we left. I have a wedding band with a hole in it where the stone should be. Seriously, BEWARE OF THIS PLACE, they only guarantee your wedding ring for three months.This is NOT A REPUTABLE JEWELRY STORE. The irony is that they hounded me to give them a great review on City Search, A10 and Yelp. Since, I didn't have a great experience before the stones fell out of my ring I didn't do any reviews. I have to say something now. What a totally expensive and lame experience this has been. FOLLOW UP: Took the ring to a reputable jeweler own my own, they repaired it and replaced the diamond and my insurance company covered it. I then filed a report with the BBB. I was recommended by Georgina to contact Daron due to a ring being stuck on my finger. Unfortunately both Daron and his father were unable to cut the ring off but they were extremely friendly, concerned and gave me alternate solutions which eventually led to me getting the ring off of my swollen finger. Do not be alarmed by their workshop like appearance. This is where the local jewlers bring their rings to be worked on. Basically, I cut out the middleman. They charged me $24 to resize my platinum diamond ring 2.5 sizes. The first time it was done, I thought it was still too loose since my knuckles are so big and the ring was rolling around at the base of the ring finger. They resized it down 1/8 of a size so that I would be happy. I am already planning on bringing them my Cartier watch to have the battery replaced and selling some gold items there.
