I had an amazing experience here! Jean, my consultant, was such a sweetheart! I ended up buying the first dress I tried on because it is PERFECT! The manager was nothing but nice and helpful. I received their 10% discount for buying on the first day and I'm glad I did! I have no complaints! I have worked in this industry and after reading the reviews about alteration prices and wait times I'm not exactly surprised. Obviously having your wedding gown altered is going to be expensive and time consuming. The seamstress is perfecting your gown and it's not an easy task. Weddings by Debbie was my first wedding dress stop in Houston after trying other salons around Texas. I was super excited as I had heard great things, and they were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday after being added to the wait list. I read on the website of the rule "cannot allow any children 12 or younger", which to me read standard for a bridal salon. I came with my fiance's family ready to try on dresses. Once inside, there's a small tiny sign that says "no babies, no strollers." My future sister in law had her 6 month old infant with her. I had been to bridal salons before, and of course you do not want toddlers/children running around touching the dresses, but I had never seen a business turn away a woman with an infant. I made note that the website said "Children under 12" which I interpreted as not newborn infants (whom are being breast fed presumably) and aren't necessarily able to be separated for the 2 hour+ appointments. Still, she was turned away because of my 6 month old future niece. They wouldn't budge. We got off to an awful start, and she was sweet enough to wait in the car for us. I didn't want to be charged for the appointment, so I continued on trying dresses. My saleswoman told me where each brand was, then left me to pick dresses myself. We had previously spoken on the phone, but once in the store she didn't ask me what style I wanted, what price pointed I wanted to be at, give me any direction towards any type of dresses. Once I flagged her down after aimlessly wandering around the store and realizing every dress I was choosing was out of my budget, she then helped me. I tried on a handful of beautiful dresses, however the clips they use provide 0 support. The dresses kept slipping off of me (and I'm not a twig - about a size 6) and I could not get a good "idea" of what the dress would look like due to the baggy fits - whereas other salons do their best to make it fit as well as they can. I'm thankful for my helpful saleswoman and her kindness, however not impressed with the women working at the front, the lack of "no infants, no strollers" on the website (which I would like to recommend they now include for clarity - or simply allow newborns inside.), and would like to suggest investing in new, heavier duty clips that can actually hold the dresses on those whom are smaller sizes. read more

I was a littler nervous going into such a formal setting (I'm a hopeless tomboy covered in tattoos & piercings. I know nothing about weddings). Jenn instantly made me feel comfortable, heard my body concerns (Hello 34 dd's) and picked several dresses. The first one she picked I ended up going with and it took less than 30 minutes total. I ordered my dress from this store. The first time that I went to try on dresses, it wasn't bad. The second time though, when I went to order my dress, I did not receive the experience that every bride wishes to receive. I went to look at dresses for the first time and my consultant, Jean was very helpful and patient. They are very strict about not allowing children, due to disturbing other brides. We couldn't find a babysitter for my niece, so we had to take her. Well, someone had to stay in the lobby the whole time with her, so my mom and sister kept taking turns in looking at me in the dresses. I wasn't bothered by that. Here comes why this place gets 3 stars by me so far. When I ordered my dress, I went on a Saturday, and it was super busy. If you want the attention you need and deserve as a bride, go during the week. My consultant kept going back and forth between another bride and me while I waited for a manager to take my measurements. I had the dress on this whole time. When my consultant would come, I would tell her I wanted to look at cap sleeves and belts. She just took out the cap sleeves that were already out (not many options). She asked a manager if the designer carries extra material for cap sleeves, but the answer was no. I was still okay after that. When a manager finally came, she suggested for me to get a 4 after my measurements, I asked her if I can order a 2 instead, because I was closer to that. Her answer was "you can order whatever size you want." I ordered the size that I wanted, and she read the contract you sign to me. I'm planning to go during the week when my dress arrives, hopefully the experience is better. read more

I called this salon at the last minute, and they were gracious enough to pencil me in the same day for an appointment. I arrived a few minutes late, but I never felt rushed. I had already found my dress at another store and was not planning to buy it because of price, but happily found it at Weddings by Debbie for a discounted price. Also, since the salon had two of the same dress on the browsing rack, with one dress only a couple days old, I was able to buy my dress for 15% discount off the floor. Granted, the type of dress I bought is a sheath dress, so it's considerably much easier to do alterations than with another silhouette. However, I found the salon to be very much of a "Say yes to the dress" experience, with high end interior decorations, huge ornate mirrors, and the like. My family and I were here around 3 years ago when my middle sister was getting married. At that time, we bought a wedding dress, all 5 bridesmaid dresses, and the mother of the bride dress. Our experience was ok until a month before the wedding. My sister died a month before the wedding - when we called weddings by Debbie to see if they would take back the bridesmaid dresses and the MOB dress they wouldn't even give us the time of day. Mind you none of those dresses had been altered. We totally understood them not taking the wedding dress back considering it had been altered twice but it still makes me sick to think about the experience we had here. I would also like to note that all other vendors refunded all our money - even the vendor that made monogrammed napkins for the wedding. My other sister is getting married next year and we will not be returning. We have ~$1600 of dresses sitting in our storage closet collecting dust and that doesn't even include the wedding dress which is in a friend's closet so my mom can avoid the pain of seeing it. Showed up for a scheduled appointment. They were rude, handed us a book & pointed in the direction where "some dresses" were and then acted like we were in the way. When we asked for a book to see colors they seemed irritated and wanted to know why we didn't have a color picked out already. We said the wedding was next spring (6 months from now) and they told us that no matter what the dress we picked there was going to have to be a rush order placed and there was nothing they could do. This place was absolutely awful! I wish I could give it no stars. I was in town visiting friends and family for the holidays. I figured this would be a perfect time to get all the bridesmaids together and pick out the perfect dress for them. I had already purchased my dress in Denver (by myself) so I called ahead to see if they had my dress so I could show my mom and stepmom and my best girlfriends. They had the dress and said I could try it on. When we got there they said that was impossible. They do not allow this because of "rules" and that whoever told me on the phone that I could try it on was wrong. They never even let me see the dress let alone try it on. They were very rude. I had been to many boutiques and even... David's Bridal and thought this place was horrible. The bridesmaid section was disorganized and our "consultant " was not helpful. To this day I still don't understand why they wouldn't let me just show the dress. I have 5 bridesmaids and two mothers that we're looking for dresses. They lost our business and I tell everyone to stay away. I will be doing all my business in Denver at the boutique I bought my dress at. They were even appalled at the service we got. I wish I could give them zero stars! I special ordered an Audrey Couture wedding dress in a size 8 from them several months before my wedding date. The same dress was in the store and in my size, but they would not let me purchase the in store dress claiming that Audrey Couture would not allow them to sell sample dresses. Instead I had to special order and pay an extra $200 rush fee to ensure the dress arrived two months before my wedding date to allow time for alterations. Weddings by Debbie never ordered the dress in a size 8. They gave me a size 14 dress that had been altered down to a size 8 (and they did not disclose that the dress had been altered and had not been special ordered). This was discovered when I took the ill-fitting dress for alterations. I took the dress to an outside alteration shop because Weddings by Debbie's estimate for alterations at $800 seemed extremely high. That's right, they were going to charge me an additional $800 to fix a dress that didn't fit properly because it had been sized down with two inches of extra material at each side seam. I called Weddings by Debbie telling them they gave me the wrong dress and asking them to sell me the sample dress that was in stock. They never returned my phone calls and were only responsive when I showed up in person. I visited the store again to find the sample dress in a size 8 (that they wouldn't sell to me had been sold and was not available. Since they did not actually order the dress, they agreed to refund the rush charge of $200. During frantic searching of shops that might have a similar style dress, I found out who actually manufactures the dress I ordered, a company in China called House of Wu. I was able to call the company's distributor in Florida and find out they had the same dress style in a size 8 hanging in China (basically ready to ship out). With this information, I went back to Weddings by Debbie and told them I knew there was a size 8 ready to ship out and asked them to order it. They lied and said they ordered it and gave me the size 14 dress again. I was really just in shock over this outrageous behavior. Now that I knew the actual dress manufacturer, I was also able to find out that several other bridal shops in Houston carry that same "exclusive Audrey Couture gown." I went to another Houston bridal shop and ordered the dress with no rush fee and for almost $400 less than the Weddings by Debbie price. Once the actual dress was on order with a shipment tracking number, I tried to get Weddings by Debbie to refund my money since the dress I received was not what I paid for. The manager was never available when I called and never returned my phone calls. I had heard that they were holding a private sale, so I showed up with the size 14 altered dress. Because the store was filled with customers and they were afraid I might make a scene, I had a full refund within 20 minutes. Because of Weddings by Debbie's deceit, I didn't have a dress a month before the wedding. No woman deserves to live through such a stressful situation. The sad part is that if they had just let me buy the sample dress or actually ordered the dress (either time), all of that stress could have been avoided. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, do yourself a favor and buy your wedding gown from a different shop. Educate yourself by checking the shop's reviews at mutliple websites and check the BBB ratings. read more

Great store, wonderful owner. I bought my wedding dress here and had them do some major alterations to it. I bought a discontinued size 8 with a zipper back and converted it to a tie back to fit a size 10/12. My first attempt at alterations was with the actual alteration department where everyone was a B*tch. The lady made me cry because she told me I was too fat to fit in my dress and should have bought a different dress. When I complained to the owner she apologized and took over all my alterations. After that it was smooth sailing, there where some surprise charges with alterations. But overall it was a good experience. My dress did fit and was beautiful! read more

I decided to go to Weddings by Debbie because they were the closest bridal shop near my house. BAD CHOICE! This was sadly the first place that I went to, to try on dresses. At the end of my appointment I left unhappy and felt judged. The consultant was responsive via email, but once she found out my budget it was apparently not a good enough sale for her. When I got there she greeted me but I could already sense she wanted our appointment to be over with. We went through a few racks, and began trying on dresses. She suggested some terrible styles that were not fitting to my body type. I am 5'3 with a chest and a bum. When I look at the pictures they looked terrible and unflattering. As the appointment went on I could feel the tension and decided to cut the appointment short and just look elsewhere. I did find great service with another bridal boutique who made up for this terrible experience. I am giving two stars because all the other brides around me seemed to really enjoy their time, so it may be just your luck you get someone awesome. read more

How else to begin than WOW. I visited 4 bridal shops when looking for my dream dress. I had heard that Weddings By Debbie is an experience that every bride deserves - this couldn't be more true. From the moment you walk in the door, it is amazing. I got to work with Amanda & she was perfect. Never made me feel uncomfortable, stayed within our price point, didn't push me into anything, & was so easy to talk to throughout the whole process. I really appreciated that nobody was pushy about buying the dress today/right now, etc. It made the process much more fun. After the tour, we picked out several gowns to start with, some that Amanda chose based on my pinterest board & some that we chose. There was no end to the gowns they had in stock - it was amazing & they're so well-organized that I didn't feel overwhelmed by it all. I wanted to think about the two gowns that I had narrowed my choice to before I made my final decision; WBD still honored the 10% off for first visit purchase (& price matched another salon's "best" price on the dress) without any issue. I came back in with my mom for the purchase - they let me retry the gown, retook my measurements, & sat with me to help me decide what was the best size to get to limit the need for expensive alterations. They could not have been more on point in their recommendation - my dress fit like a glove & needed very limited alterations to be perfect for my wedding day. The alterations were more expensive than other places for a hem & bustle, but I have every confidence that it is being done correctly & that my dress will be perfect. I would rather pay a little more & feel confident than pay less & potentially end up with something unwearable... WBD stands out from other salons for several reasons: 1. Didn't push me to buy a dress on the spot. 2. Price matched another salon without any trouble. 3. Amanda was awesome. 4. Alterations was great (though pricey). 5. Guaranteed delivery of my gown before my wedding with sufficient time for alterations. 6. Excellent in helping me choose the right size of gown to purchase. I would recommend WBD to any bride, even if just for the experience of the salon, which is beautiful & the gown selection, which is enormous. read more

This was where I found my wedding dress...I didn't buy it here though because I found a better deal elsewhere. At the time, Katie was the one assisting me. I told her the style I wanted and the price range I wanted to stay in, and with just 3 or 4 dresses to try on, I finally found it after going to 4 or 5 stores previously. They had a very large selection...a lot of them were on the high end but they had enough in the low and middle range to suit everyone's budget. When she thought that I was not going to buy the most expensive dresses because I was having a destination wedding, she tried to move us to the bridesmaid area. It was my first time trying on a wedding dress and was so upset. She didn't have any clamps to fit the dress to me - as you know, to make these dresses look like they should, you need many clamps. I love this place!! Yesterday, I accompanied my cousin to this location to select her wedding dress. My cousin found out they were doing a trunk show this day for one of the designers she was really interested in. We got there and from the time we stepped through the door, we were treated phenomenally. The young lady who was taking care of my cousin during her appointment was Alexis. You talk about someone who great at what they do, she certainly is! She was knowledgeable, super nice, funny, and willing to provide additional information that will make your special day even better. After my experience yesterday, I know for sure that I will be coming to this location when it is time for me to get married!!! I must say, I had a really good experience with WBD. I know many people who haven't, but for me, they were everything I wanted. I initially tried about 4-5 other stores and they didn't have the selection, price point and clean/quiet setting that WBD did. Lina was my salesperson (who was great! Not pushy, very positive). The alterations lady was great, too. She actually saved me soem $$ by giving me pointers that she thought would be the opposite effect of what I was looking for. The ONLY thing I'd say (which would be at any bridal salon, really), is that it bothered me just a tad when they told me it would be 5 months to get my dress (I thought GREAT! I can pay my deposit and the rest when the dress comes in). They told me when the dress arrived, which was in 3 months, and I had to scurry to find the money to pay it off so I wasn't paying extra fees. Fortunately, with my planning, I was able to shuffle other things around, but over all, I did have a very pleasant experience with them. Nobody was 'rude', they just appeared busy...not necessarily 'too busy for me' but just wanting to provide quick service. Everyone was actually pleasant with me. read more

And they didn't have any alteration appointments available before My wedding date and i was never told that when i bought the dress. They wanted to charge my. $150 to do a rush plus my $450 charge for alterations. Also you had to make an appointment for pick up the gown. And i was late 10 minutes and they wanted me to rescheduled..... I didn't had to throw a fit to get my dressed is not worth the headache would think twice before getting your dress there. Weddings by Debbie was recommended to me by a co-worker who said that they had the largest selection of wedding dresses in Houston. As a picky lady, this appealed to me. I signed up for a first dress consultation and actually had a very nice first appointment. The lady helping me try on dresses was helpful and kind. Great. Then, 6 months later my dress comes in and I go to try it on. Everything was still fine. I order a dress and sash to match, make an appointment to come in for alterations, and leave the store. This is where things when south. When they called me back in to see my dress and veil, both were ripped. The dress had lace all over it and I guess in the process of storing it in the back room something had happened. I decided to let it slide because it was very small and probably only noticeable by a bride. My veil was a different story. There was a huge bunch right by my face. The lady at the store told me that it wasn't a big deal and I should just take it. I thought that was really weird and asked to see a manager. They told me they would order a replacement veil. I was two months out from my wedding so I was very nervous but they assured me it would be there in a month. Fast forward to a month and a week later. No word from Weddings by Debbie. I called them to check on it and they just kept forwarding me to voicemail. I was getting very upset so my fiance called them to see what was going on. He was then told "we don't have time to check on the status of the veil, we are too busy." That is just an unacceptable answer to me. As a client who has paid a whole lot of money to your business, there should always be time. The next weekend, my mom and I drive up. We are really panicked at this point. It turns out my veil was there. My mom asked to speak to a manager about the trouble we had getting to this point. The manager was extremely rude to my mother and I telling us that we were over reacting and that they did nothing wrong. She started to raise her voice, so we left the store. I was pretty upset about the whole experience here. Luckily, after the ripped lace dress incident there, I took my dress to Beautiful U Alterations. They fixed and altered my dress to perfection and Arlene even made me a new veil in two weeks. So, I would caution anyone against going to Weddings by Debbie simply for the customer service. It is nonexistent. When something is as important as your wedding day, you should go to someone who cares. read more

To start off...I just want to say that I loved the shopping experience I had buying my dress & the bridesmaid dresses (ps-Jen in the bridesmaid dress dept is AWESOME!) They have lovely gowns and are very reasonable in price and you get a 15% discount if you buy from them and also have your wedding party buy from there too. The #1 reason I rated WBD only 2 stars is the alterations department. DO NOT GET ANY OF YOUR GOWNS ALTERED HERE! I was originally quoted an estimate when I first bought my dress, but that price was completely different than what I paid. My first fitting I had the sides taken in, so I understood the price charged (under $200) because I had lost a significant amount of weight. When it came time to hem and bustle the dress, I was charged over $500! Outrageous! If I had a huge growth spurt or shrunk 10 inches, I would understand...but seriously?! DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS ALTERED HERE!!! I called all my bridesmaids and my sister (who is also getting married this year and got her dress here) to find someone else to alter their dresses. I am sure there are seamstresses that are just as qualified in handling wedding gowns that won't charge you that much money and that can get it done within a week or so instead of a month. read more

I had a very good experience and found my dream dress here. This was the third bridal store that I had visited and out of the three that I visited and also from what I learned about other stores in the Houston area that I researched, WBD had the best selection of dresses with a range of price points. I also like the arrangement of the store. The display of dresses looked very appealing and made you want to try them on (In other stores that I visited, the dresses looked sort of dingy and unappealing because of how they were not cared for). The only complaint that I had, which is why I gave 4 points and not 5, is that their scheduling seems a little off. I was scheduled for 10am which is the first appointment. Apparently 10 other brides also had a 10am appointment and things were very hectic for the first 15 minutes or so. The floor area is also a bit weird as it looks like the seating is first come, first serve for the brides' guest and no one really has their own private area, or at least an assigned area for your guest to sit and a mirror for you to use. Many times I felt like I was fighting with three other brides and their guests so that I could see myself in the mirror. Overall, I would highly recommend WBD. The staff was very, very pleasant, especially my consultant, Victoria. She was wonderful. She was very patient, listened to me and tried to work with me and my requests until we finally found my dream gown! read more

The overall shopping experience was great and I found my dress and all my accessories on my first visit. The selection was great, good seating area for family and was a really enjoyable experience. Once the money was provided, everything changed. I unfortunately was relocated to London for my job but knew things would be handled appropriately and professionally. I began calling 7 months after purchase to ensure my dress would be available for fitting upon my visit. I called three times with no return phone call over the course of 10 days. I finally escalated to the manager on my next phone call who was able to verify my dress was there. Next at my fitting, I learned that the color of the dress was not the color on the floor. I spoke to the manager who at the end the conclusion was that it was my problem as I already had purchased and my option was to purchase a new dress. They should consider purchasing new stock (can sell in a sample sale) or have the actual color swatch to show brides what they are purchasing if the color changes so drastically over the course of three years or longer depending on how long you keep a dress. My dress is white and that was the first thing I said - I do not want white. The champagne color on the floor had discolored so is not close to the actual color. So following tears at my fitting I was then brought my veil which I was taking with me. Again there were tears as this was not correct either and never checked. The seamstress recommended having the manufacturer trim the excess on the edges because it was not finished properly but I had to take them cutting the edge as I was taking it with me. The veil should have been checked a month prior when it was received. It was evidently different from the one on the floor - I could tell as soon as they brought it out the door. So now i pray that my $300 veil does not unravel the day of because a quality check was not done and it doesn't match the dress as I matched it to the one tried on. Again, my problem. My last disappointment is on picking up the dress. A month away and they are full so my mother driving 4 hours needs to work around the schedule (and we are not trying to go on the weekend but in the middle of the week in the middle of the day). I paid a lot of money and expected at a minimum what I ordered but did not quite get it. Once WBD has your money, your outcome doesn't seem to matter to them. read more

Bridesmaid Dresses I went 30 min earlier before my appointment and I was allowed to look through the bridesmaid section with one of my bridesmaids. The selection is medium sized but no dress caught our attention. Bridal Gowns This place has a huge selection of wedding gowns so if you just starting out perhaps head somewhere else first to get an idea of what you are looking for before heading to Debbie's otherwise you may end up feeling a little overwhelmed! Try to know what dress shapes you like so it can be easier. I ended up buying my dress from here. Like I said it's huge but there price range is great, starts from $1000-$7000. But come with a budget in mind. They also have discounted gowns and you can save up to $1000 depending on the dress. My consultant was very friendly, helpful, and patient. Her name is Lena. Mirrors everywhere and very generous dressing rooms. You really feel like you are on a TV show. I'd recommend every bride to check this place out even if you don't buy, you can fish for ideas. If you decide to buy from here I recommended just buying your bridal gown ONLY. PS they do offer a 10% discount on any regular price gowns in store upon purchase during your first visit, so I would take advantage of that. THE ONLY REASON I DEDUCTED ONE STAR When the time came down to trying on gowns, I wasn't asked to be helped instead my salesperson went in without asking first. I prefer to be asked first because NOT every bride feels comfortable being almost completely naked in front of a total stranger. Good thing the fitting room was not too small. read more

I never write reviews but had to because of all the negative reviews. I did not have one bad experience with Weddings by Debbie. Honestly, I can't think of any other way to go. My sister got married two months before me and got her dress from another bridal salon which is why I know Weddings by Debbie is your best choice! They store your dress until your wedding, and have it pressed before you come pick it up. (That's all included in the price!) I even had them do my alterations and they did a great job. I received countless compliments on my dress and continue to when people see pictures of my dress. read more

This review is long over due. I had the worst experience this past Saturday at this location. The day started out great with my family and my maid of honor. My family flew in from Tennessee and Kansas to go dress shopping with me. We wanted to show them a great time in Texas and this place almost ruined my entire wedding dress shopping experience. We went to our first location and had a wonderful experience. Weddings by Debbie was our second appointment. We arrived ten minutes early to our 2:00pm appointment. None of us were greeted so we tried to be patient. I finally asked when we would be helped and I was handed a clip board and was told to take a seat. My maid of honor asked if she could have a drink of water and the lady at the reception area told her it was in the break room and she would get it for her later. I finished filling out the form and proceeded to wait for another 10 minutes. At 2:30 (for our 2:00pm appointment) we were then greeted by Denise who would be our sales associate. She gave us the quickest tour of the location and at that point I had never felt more rushed. She gave me at least one minute to look over dresses and asked if I was ready. I immediately felt overwhelmed and asked if I could have a couple of minutes to look over the selection because there were a lot of dresses to look at. She then told me we didn't have much time and I should get into a dressing room soon to start trying on. My step mother asked if we still had our two hour appointment and she said yes but she had other appointments to worry about as well. That didn't sit well with anyone but we continued looking. At this point for the second time my maid of honor asked for a water and no one had the time to get it for her. Denise was hovering over my back, pressuring me to pull every dress that I was debating on. After five minutes of looking, Denise let me know that she went ahead and pulled dresses for me because I hadn't pulled anything yet. I was a little shocked because not even ten minutes ago did I ask for her to not make me feel so rushed. She processed to say "come on come on let's go" and walked towards the dressing room then turned around and asked why I wasn't following her. My step mother had to finally tell her to stop because she was ruining the experience. I went into the dressing room and all of the dresses were not the style I described at all over the phone prior to my appointment. I decided to just try one on hoping it would all turn around. She hands me the dress to change into and turns around to give me privacy. That Saturday was my first time dress shopping so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not an expert putting on heavy dresses. I needed help and we are all woman. I don't need privacy, I need assistance because that's why Denise was in the dressing room with me. As I'm putting the dress on myself by myself, my maid of honor peeped in to check on me. Denise decides to ask her to come in to help me put my dress on. We both stood there shocked. At this point I was about to be in tears feeling so overwhelmed. The comparison to both experiences were polar opposite and I knew I didn't deserve this experience. I stepped out in the first dress and came out to show my family. You can see on everyone's faces that everyone wanted to leave. I then looked at Denise and said I wanted to leave and not be here anymore. I would think at that moment she would go grab the manager or try to make it right. She said "okay I understand" and WALKED away. I'm not sure how this establishment trains their employees but for someone looking to drop thousands on one item, please advice them that they should feel special because it's also about the experience. I will NEVER give my business to Weddings by Debbie EVER again. It's a long story but I ordered my bridesmaid dress the beginning of May. Paid for it and everything. I assumed my dress was ordered. I called yesterday -August 19 to find out when it was expected to arrive. I was told not until the end of October. The wedding is Nov 21st. Which gives me 3 weeks to do alterations, IF it actually arrives at the end of October. I was like what?!? Then come to find out, the dress wasn't ordered until July!!! Nobody ever informed me that the bride requested the dresses be ordered in bulk. Nope- they just took my order and my money in May and gave me the impression my dress was being ordered. When a manager called me today to discuss it further, she basically put all the blame on the bride. Took zero responsibility. Didn't apologize. Even had the nerve to ask me if I asked when the dress would be ordered!! I said why would I have asked that? In the past when I've ordered anything and paid for it, it's been ordered. Isn't that how things work? Apparently not. Save yourself the hassle and do not waste your time with Weddings by Debbie. Terrible customer service. read more

Like many other brides, my experience has been horrible after purchase! My alterations came to 2x the costs as quoted and done horribly! The customer service is horrible and I'm constantly leaving messages to schedule my appointments that don't get returned for days. Definitely go elsewhere! It's so disappointing that such a fun part of my wedding has been ruined. read more

WBD prides them self on how professional they are and how it's all about the bride. Well they never answer their phone, I've had to leave several messages and it takes them days to call you back. When we ordered my dress, they measured me and told me that they recommend I order a size 10 dress (I wear usually a 6) and I was NOT going to order a 10! So we went with what they recommended/compromised and order an 8... Thinking "I know nothing about ordering a wedding dress, they are the professionals so I will listen"... WRONG! My dress swallowed me and we had to get it taken in 2 inches on both sides!!!! After several hundred dollars of alterations it finally fit how it was supposed to. Which leads me to my next complaint- getting an appointment for alterations! I had to make my appointment almost 2 months out and then when I get to my appointment (on time!) I still had to WAIT because they didn't have a room for me. Seriously! You schedule an appointment two months in advance and you'd think they would have your dress hanging in your dressing room waiting for you to put it on?! My experience with WBD has been far from great and I wouldn't recommend going there to anyone! It has been such a headache and ordeal through this whole process that's supposed to be fun!! :( WBD sorry you don't live up to the standards you think you do! #fail read more

Although it been almost four years since we purchased my daughters wedding dress at WbyD it was a great experience. We went to a few bridal chains before walking into Debbie's place. I have to say we were treated very well, even though we didn't have an appointment. We found a Maggie Sottero dress on the rack that was absolutely gorgeous on her and complimented her figure. The sales staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They knew our budget suggested ways to stay in our budget. Yes they carry a lot of designers in all prices ranges. It was refreshing to see different designs than all the chain stores. The alterations department did a great job. Lupe is the best! I'm glad to see WbyD has moved to Katy. Welcome Debbie! read more

What a FANTASTIC place! If you are looking for a place to have your perfect "Say yes to the dress" moment at, look no further! A beautifully furnished wedding oasis surrounds you and no detail in the room as been overlooked without an elegant touch. The consultant who helped us, Bree, was so incredibly attentive to the bride (my sister) and made sure that everything was running smoothly. Not only was she attentive though, but made excellent dress and accessory suggestions, which resulted in us buying a belt to go with the dress. Even if you don't find your dress here, I would HIGHLY recommend coming in for a fitting for the experience and lovely ambiance of Weddings by Debbie. My sister did end up saying yes to the dress here which probably does sway my opinion a little! read more

I said "yes to the dress" at Weddings by Debbie:) I had been to 2 other bridal stores before and honestly didn't have very positive experiences with selection or the consultants. Not that the other consultants were necessarily bad, but they didn't seem to care to make my experience enjoyable. This store has a WONDERFUL selection of dresses, and surprisingly plenty in my price range ($1000-$2000). Plus, the 10% off if you buy on your first visit helped my dream dress be in my budget! My consultant was Jean and I loved her. She helped make this a wonderful experience and was the first consultant to really make me feel like a beautiful bride. I had so much fun with her and she had a way of making me feel so confident! The owner was awesome also! She is so knowledgeable, informative, and very personable. Overall, I am so grateful my friend suggested this bridal salon! I had the best clothes shopping experience of my life and I FINALLY found a dress that made me feel like a beautiful bride. The good: I was the maid of Honor for my friend. We went to Weddings by Debbie and were very impressed with the selection and just overall appearance. The lady that helped us was not as energetic as we had experienced at other stores. Which can be either goof or bad depending on the Bride. We wanted someone that was more upbeat but our lady did fine. My friend ended up buying the dress the day we were there. It was a gorgeous dress around $1,200. So far the experience was great. Would have recommended it to a friend. Now for the bad: She made the mistake of getting her dress altered here. We had ordered her dress along with, bridesmaids dresses and mother of the bride and mother of the grooms dresses. Only myself and one other bridesmaid chose to get their alterations done elsewhere. Which looking back was the best idea ever! My poor friend had so many issues with alterations. They would write down what needed to be done and then at the next appointment it would either not be done or they would have hemmed it up way too much or something. And example since day one when she finally had the dress at the salon she asked for a lingerie strap to be placed in. She went to 3 appointments after that and it wasn't until 2 days before her wedding when we went to pick up the dress that the finally put it in right before we left because they forgot. Also for the bridesmaids and mothers they had so much trouble getting a hold of the people there to make appointments to alter their dresses. I could write 5 pages of stuff that went wrong here. Overall I Say sure buy your dress here but DO NOT get it altered. Go to another bridal salon or anyone else but them. Lupe the lady in charge is not respectful of you. She is always right and the bride is always wrong. It's terrible. I thought it may have just been with us but I saw how she acted with the other brides and I just can't believe it. But if you do get it altered here be prepared to pay an extra $1000 at least for wedding dress alterations and at least $100 for bridesmaids. I took mine elsewhere at they did a wonderful job for $37. read more
