    Small dog park
    Nina Q.

My go to dog park in the area! Maintained well, always stocked with water and dog bags and clear of trash. The small dog area is never crowded, and even when it's busy, there's so much space to spread out. Everyone is respectful and friendly! Highly recommended! There's even a small nature trail in the back, and a fire house nearby which makes it feel safer if you're ever alone.

Such a nice dog park! Looks brand new. They have obstacles for the pooches. It's also fenced around a wooded area that dogs can also go into. There's still lots of grass, we'll see how long that will last haha. Our two dogs loved the big dog area and it looks like mostly responsible owners come here. Just wish some would stop playing fetch if their dog gets protective over the ball? Seems like common sense. Other than that, your pup will have fun here off leash!

The park is spacious, and very convenient. My only grip as per owners people need to more diligent with cleaning up after their dogs poop.

Fun to be had with my boy Bubba in the small dog side. He loves it! He sleeps so well after running in the park.

Over some relatively smooth grass, so not completely handicapped accessible. Entrance to the park requires registration with the City of Davidson Police Department where you'll be required to bring a copy of the rabiest vaccination certificate. Inside the fully enclosed park, there are water fountains, shaded areas, places for the humans to sit and even a hiking trail and natural area. It's really pretty darned cool. A few folks have left doggie toys for play. [Review 13409 overall, 728 of 2020.]

You end up with community gardens, childrens play area, nice quiet area to sit and reflect and a very nice dog park. Lexi (Welsh Corgi) and I went to explore today Took a bit of hunting plus a GPS to find the park but well worth it. Ample parking, nice double gate to get in, tennis balls for our furry friends, picknic tables and sitting areas for the humans and a big water dish. Unfortunately it had just stopped raining when we got her so there were no dogs for Lexi to play with. Nice facility otherwise. Strongly suggest as a different place to bring your friendly canine

The bathrooms are almost always nasty, they either don't have toilet paper or don't have paper towels to dry your hands. If it's the summer time and you're taking your kids for the splash pad, bring water shoes. The floors are disgusting. The trashes get overflown and the flies are everywhere. I don't know who thought it was a great idea to have metal slides with no shade but if it's a peak summer day, you're not gonna want your kids going down those slides, especially if they've got shorts on, their butts will get fried. Also, not sure whose idea it was to have the wooden rocking toy thing for kids because those did not last long. The handles broke after a year. When it comes to usable things for kids to play on at this park, the options are extremely limited. I would've loved to see something that kids could actually climb on and slide from that wasn't meant to be poor installation art. The main thing our kids do when we're there is swing on the only two swings climb up in the big web net thing and roll down the turf hill. The only well-kept areas in this park are the Pickleball courts and the dog park. There's definitely ample parking. There's a community garden that you can look at. If you come at the right time when the figs are ripe, you can pick them right off the tree so that's nice.

Some people that frequent the spot, let their dogs become aggressive and don't curb or police them. Others , are blindly yapping away when their animal is pissing and crapping in the play area and fail to clean it up like you are supposed to like us responsible owners do. Most people are friendly but, it is mainly for more than one person. They have TV's but, there is so much activity where they are located that it is hard to focus. If you are alone it can be boring except for the fact your dog is enjoying it (which I guess is the point!) The bar used to be hit or miss but has improved. While a I know this isn't a place you should be going to get tipsy even , I mean I get it , it's a dog park but when I have ordered a shot or two of whiskey with my beer , I was really ripped off more than a couple times by two specific people. The bar manager is great and I think she corrected the light pours, which is great because the alcohol there isn't cheap. I'm not ragging on the bartenders though - all of them are nice and polite. I have only limited experience with the Doggy Daycare and while I don't know what actually goes on back 'there' my dog seemed to be happy when picked up. I will say one of the young ladies who normally checks me in young, with mid-length blonde hair was not very friendly. It was like 8AM and it's Doggy Day Care and isn't cheap , probably be a bit friendlier to the customers. Other than that , it's a decent place to enjoy an afternoon with a beer, or not, while your pup plays and socializes with other dogs. Just wish some owners would be more attentive of their dogs behavior - most are! Recommend checking this place out.
