My lawn looks better then it did before. I did the yard work myself and weed man did a better job. I was just called by weed man salesman to seed and aerate my yard. When I said I couldn't afford it the young man ask me why. He went on to ask for specifics on why I couldn't afford it since I did this a few years ago. He asked if it was a medical issue or what was the excuse I was using. I told him he was being unprofessional and he continued to be rude. Lawn looked really nice through April, but then the weeds took over. Weed Man left me a note saying they could not control a particular weed overtaking my lawn and gave me recommendations for doing it myself. Then (they claim) grubs took over around August. I cancelled my service, spread grub x and then sowed new seed in September. Less than 3 weeks later they came back anyway and treated which kept grass seed from germinating, and billed me for this service even though I cancelled previously. I intentionally weaned my lawn from watering several years ago and the result was weak grass and lots of weeds. Weed Man promised to restore my lawn and delivered. Weed Man is worst lawn care service ever!!! Owner himself assured me my issues with nutsedge, broadleaf, violets, crabgrass and various other weeds would be taken care of. I just didn't think to ask what year as have same issues today, even considerably worse, than in April or May of 2016 when we spoke. Today is 9/26. We have same broad-leafs in same yard locations when service started. Don't leave msg's on individual phones as will not call back. Main line customer service has lot's of I'm sorry's and thank you for your patience, but, nothing is dead in my yard. Weeds say they are alive and doing well. I am a former customer of Weedman, and until last night, only because I wanted to care for my lawn myself. However, last night I received a sales call in an attempt to regain my business. After a short conversation in which I told the rep that I was caring for the lawn myself and that I was not interested, he became very rude and simply hung up on me. No, "Thank you for you time" or anything like that, even though it was well past business hours when he called, he just hung up. Not to say that a more professional call would have changed my mind but I can assure you that because of his rudeness, I will never choose Weedman again for my lawn care needs. Weedman treated my lawn for five years, it looks no better. If you call them about poor service, it's always the customer's fault. The final straw was their horrible billing system. Sometimes I get only a bill on the door, sometimes both on the door and in the mail. This last bill from May did not come at all. I called in July to tell them I have weeds and the said and I quote " perhaps you have weeds because you did not pay your last bill". After five years of of service; I still have weeds and I don't deserve a phone call as to why they did not get paid. Weedman will not reward your loyalty with quality service, respect or gratitude. I've PAID for 4 treatments but since they didn't notify us that they were going to treat our yard as we requested I'm not sure what I received. Then when I contacted them the woman who answered acted like I was questioning there integrity. When they priced the aeration of the yard it started out at just over $300.00. Then we received a call back and they said they forgot to include the side yard! So the new cost is $580.00. So I said forget the side yard expecting to pay the original price. WRONG!!! This is what Weed Man did to our lawn. We used them for the first time last year, and had a terrible experience, so we quit. They call back offering to 'make it right' this year so I decided to go with them again. MY MISTAKE! I've had nothing but weeds all year, and after complaining to them repeatedly, they come out and spray Round Up over nearly my ENTIRE Yard! Killing EVERYTHING. Not to mention they DIDN'T EVEN KILL THE WEEDS I ORIGINALLY MENTIONED. Didn't even touch them. Originally the yard looked decent, we hired them to keep it maintained. It's been nothing but downhill since they started servicing the yard. We are switching companies and are working to fix this eye sore. I have been using Weed Man for a few years, I have canceled 3 times, the first two times were because of their horrible accounting department sending me a late notice when I have automatic payments set up. They failed to take out a payment and then was harsh with me on the phone like it was my fault. The second time was because after paying close to $600 for the year in services, I had as many weeds as my neighbors who don't even have a service. Both times I canceled they called and begged me to come back so against better judgement I did. This 3rd time I canceled was because I have 5 checking accounts for personal reasons. Like my home mortgage at Kentucky Bank is less interest because I have the payment drafted from that account automatically. I used this account for other household expenses like my lawn care. To make things simpler for me I had all my other payments taken from my Central Bank account including Weed Man. So I only put enough in my account to cover my house payment. Weed Man's poor accounting department strikes again and takes the money out of the old account instead of where I had informed them to do which because I only transferred enough for my automatic house payment with them I was short the $50.00 plus dollars in my account. Well I had had enough with this poorly ran company so I called to have my services cancelled on two properties. Then I get a notice that they had serviced one of my properties and was expecting a payment weeks after I had cancelled. Needless to say I went off on them and I pity the person who even tries to call and ask for my business with their horribly run company. I would not use them if they gave me free services for life. Got a sales call last week told the guy that sounds good I will think about it. And they took it upon themselves to go ahead and do their thing. I am disappointed with my request to re-spray for "nut grass". I was told twice this would be taken care of and if it has been done, I have not been notified. They have a good deal in terms of fertilizing your lawn and getting rid of normal weeds like dandelions and stuff like that, but don't believe it when they say there is a "weed-free guarantee," the guarantee is only on specific weeds. I have learned this the hard way. The main reason for hiring them was to get rid of some weeds (Johnson Grass) that took over our yard. I had explained the weed to them the year prior when I was thinking about hiring them and then decided to hire them this year. They did a good job at getting rid of regular weeds, but the Johnson Grass remained and took over the side yard once again. When I asked about it, they first said they could take care of it, but when someone took a look at it, they saw it was Johnson Grass and that's not included in the weed-free guarantee. We'll keep them for the fertilizing, it's still a better deal than doing it ourselves, just annoying that they pride on making your lawn weed-free when that's not exactly the truth. Also, bald spots in our yard remain and we had to seed ourselves, although that doesn't seem to be working either. read more

So far I'm really happy with the service at my house. I'm a new homeowner and I don't really enjoy dealing with my lawn at all, but I know that i live in a neighborhood where other people have to look at it too, so letting it look terrible really isn't fair to everyone on the block. My lawn is arguably the best looking lawn on the street. No weeds, and it's this pretty green color. My only issue is that sometimes this company treats both the front lawn and backyard, and sometimes they don't. I remember asking if both would be treated when I signed up for the service because that is what I wanted. If I'm home when they stop by, I mention it, but when I'm not home I have no idea if it's being consistently done. Otherwise I'm really happy. read more

We have had weed man for several years and have been fairly happy with it. Last year if I had a problem with weeds and called, they would come out the next day and spray again. On Monday August 5th, I called them and asked them to return and spray several different types of weeds that were all over my yard. This was the only time this year that I had asked them to come back for an additional treatment. I was assured that they would come to spray soon. Nine days later on August 14, I had to call them again. They apologized and said that they did not know what happened, and would come out right away. I talked to a supervising manager again on Friday August 16 who again apologized and said someone would be there on Monday, August 19. So, yesterday on August 19 I wanted to be here when the technician arrived to show him all the weeded areas, and I delayed running my errands until he showed up. At 3:30 PM I called the company to make sure I was still on their schedule. The secretary assured me I was, but that I was the last one on the schedule. I asked her to call the technician to confirm that. She returned my call at 3:50 PM and I was told that the technician would be there within the hour. I waited till 6:30 PM before I left to run my errands and no one ever came. I am very tired of getting the runaround from this company. I am cancelling their service, or what little their is of it. Weedman has been servicing our yard for 3 years now. They show up when scheduled and I always get a call on my cell phone (as I requested) reminding me they are coming and to leave pets inside. I do not like the phone calls for the extras (fertilizing, grub control, etc..) We switched from True Green due to too many phone calls. Weed Man was recommended to me by a friend. They took care of my yard for 9 months. On 3 different occasions they sprayed my yard when there were heavy thunderstorms. I'm sure everything they sprayed washed away. On another occasion I was home and watched as they only fertilized and weeded my front yard. I was very shocked that they would do that considering my car was in the driveway and my garage door was open. They had to know someone would probably be watching. I called Weed Man's offices on all of the occasions mentioned above and was assured they would come back and re-spray my yard. After 9 months my yard looked weaker (less grass) and had more weeds. I called the office to cancel and they ask if a manager could come out and look before I cancelled. I said sure, but I didn't think it would change my mind. The manager called and said they would again come a re-spray, if I would agree to continue their services. The only way I would have signed up with them again is for a free year of service!
