This place is lit AF. I've been here several times and this place is clutch. Everybody talks about how great and BIG this place is.

The store started out great but I think they have the same produce that was put out the first day it opened. Everything was too ripe or just rotten now. The prices are competitive but avoid the prepared foods because I am sure they make up the costs provided on the aisles by charging more on the prepared food. read more

Having moved recently here from Rochester NY, home of Wegmans, I was amazed to discover that they had opened a store so close to me. As is the norm with Wegmans, beautiful store, amazing variety, and pretty good prices. Compared to the new Harris Teeters that opened up by me and is disgustingly overpriced (their VIC sales are the regular prices at Wegmans) Wegmans lives up to their brand and will soon enough establish a strong foothold here because of it. By the way, try their recipes as well, they are great. My recommendation for starters, Wegmans Moroccan Lentil soup. read more

We continue to delight in the Germantown, MD Wegmans! It is a huge store with a huge inventory but we maneuver effortlessly through it's immenseness! We shop there five out of seven days a week. My son asked me why don't we make a list and go once a week. I explained we love going often because it's a fun outing! We end up eating at the cafe more often than not! Everyone who works there appears to enjoy what they do and are good at what they do. Our favorite resources for questions and help are Dominic Ethan - he never fails to make it an enjoyable experience when assisting us. Nothing here really not to love other than the crowded parking garage at times. The buffet is great for a quick lunch or to get stuff to go. They have a nice selection of foods at decent prices. I don't get the love. It's huge, it's full of people who are overwhelmed by the newness to the point that they are recklessly piloting their shopping carts, and it's in friggin Germantown. I went once on a weekend (bad idea) and once on a Fed furlough Friday when I had nothing but time to kill, and... meh. They were out of blueberries (srsly?) and I was underwhelmed by the hot bars. They do carry Polar Orange Dry, so props for that, but I'm not going out of my way to shop here. read more

I've been back several times since my initial visit and as the star rating suggests, just "A-OK." It appears to be smaller than the Wegmans in Woodmore shopping center(exit 17 on the beltway) and Frederick location; but it suits it's purpose. I do enjoy the fact that my favorite snack of POP CHIPs are only $1.99; elsewhere they can be upwards of 2.69++. The produce selection is a hit or miss. You won't catch me leaving with a full basket from here. The best times to shop are early in the morning and any time after 9p.For a grocery store, Wegmans is indeed visually appealing, but that's about it for me. My husband and I enjoy the selection of natural health products, and the majority of health items are cheaper than Giant, CVS, or Target. We love the bakery - sourdough rolls are our favorite! The produce is hit or miss, though, in terms of prices and freshness. Prices are generally higher for produce than Giant, and unless you go in the morning before people have picked through things, you have to find someone to get items from the back. For some reason, the "seafood/fish" smell is much stronger in this store than others... read more

Unfortunately Wegmans is not on my regular daily route, so I don't get there often. But when I do, I find they have a great selection of everything you could possibly be looking for in a grocery store...and more. In fact, I find the store very overwhelming, and not necessarily laid out well. It probably takes me twice as long to get through the store as it would if I went to giant or Safeway. I also question how good their prices are, and if my loyalty card is working correctly at checkout. But overall, if I want good produce, and a large selection of food options, I go to Wegmans. read more

It's always so nice to walk into Wegmans! It's clean, the employees are wonderful, the customers seem happy, the produce, bakery, and butcher are like no other store. There is never a time we come that we're not greeted by friendly staff. They're more than willing to help you find what you're looking for and answer any questions you may have. I had a few concerns about cooking a type of fish, and the guy in the fish market actually walked me through step by step the best way to handle that fish. There is no better service than you receive at this store. It's definitely top of the line. read more

I lovvvvee Wegmans..especially this location. Its convenient to other store like Target, Walmart, etc. The store is very clean and always stocked with good stuff. The hot foods bar is nice, the sushi is good. $4.99 rotisserie chicken....love it. Most of all, Wegmans has consistent prices and very competitive if not cheaper then other grocery stores. Also, I love the app. You can create a shopping list with prices and it give you a total cost for your groceries. Its very accurate with the cost and items in the store. I use it all the time. I love this store. The customer service is really good and when you special order something it comes a few days after. Even if they don't carry the item in that particular store, they will order it as long as Wegmans carries it. It's extremely clean in there as well. The one they have in Virginia is nothing compared to this one. read more

I like Wegmans - I especially like their gluten-free selections. I visited the store today at lunch to pick up some gluten-free crackers, etc and the store was a madhouse! It's seems they're rearranging everything (as if I don't have a hard time already finding anything)! Shouldn't they do that late at night? Also picked up a hot (warm actually) gluten-free Asian lunch. I find their lunch hit or miss. Today it was a hit! They also make a pretty good pizza. Went to Wegman's for the first time and could not get me out of the store. Staff is extremely helpful along with very knowledgeable. Food selection is out of this world. Only thing is don't go shopping their hungry- you will end up buying everything. When we were done shopping went to the eatery, ordered a large white pizza and that was FANTASTIC as well. One of the best supermarket's you will ever go to. It's rated as one of the best places to work for and you can really see that in employees willingness to help you out. Love their organic food availability. For the record, I like organic stuff because it's tastier, not necessarily healthier. Bulk food section has great options too. The store is always clean and stocked with everything I need. They have a helpful and knowledgable staff that can answer any questions and the App makes shopping that much easier. I'm from Rochester, Danny Wegmans' hometown. Needless to say as a transplanted Rochester girl, I was ecstatic to find out that there was a Wegmans in my immediate area here in Germantown! My favorite grocery store by far. Walmart Super Center, Target, Giant, Harris Teeter, ALDI is near by and this store is over all cheaper than any of them. Excellent customer service and incredible selection. My only complaint is limited entrances and exits. They can't really do anything about that though. read more

Horrible customer service experience at this germantown location. Manager Rolo was incredibly rude. Ive been shopping at Wegmans stores for years, first in New Jersey then in Maryland. Primary because I love the quality of the food and the amazing customer service. The last visit, I purchased tlaeveral items that tasted odd. Asked my in-laws to return the product with receipt and my Wegmans card. The manager initially said it was against store policy to give refunds. When asked to see the policy, he said agreed to make the refund but only with the original credit card. Since I didnt give them my credit card, they asked for store credit but he refused. More importantly, his tone was condescending and rude. This is the opposite of what Ive come to expect from Wegmans and were very disappointed. Especially my in-laws who said they will never shop at Wegmans again. Cant blame them. read more

Won't be returning to this wegmans. I made a purchase using debit last week. When I got to my car I noticed that several products had rang up at a higher price than indicated on the tag. I took those items back in to make a return (over 70$) worth. After the staff member returned the items and it came time to tender the return I asked to be refunded in cash since I had paid with debit. He said "We don't give cash refunds." I said ok and swiped the card I used, put my pin number in and he closed out the transaction stating that the refund should be posted back to my account the following day. Here it is a week later and I still haven't received my refund. I have called 3 times and spoken to different people who all claim, "It should be there tomorrow." I also spoke to my bank who say that the refund isn't even pending, this is clearly an issue on Wegmans end. This is poor business practice to make a customer wait a week for a refund when I returned the products due to their mistake to begin with. I should have been refunded in cash immediately that day as most establishments do with debit purchases. Very disappointed with my experience. read more

I normally love going to wegmans. However, today when I went. I asked 3 people including the customer service desk if they could help me find "bread crumbs." The second person I went up two was extremely rude. He didn't even let me speak before yelling "it's closed," I proceeded to tell him that I wasn't trying to check out food I simply had a question. "What isle can I buy bread crumb." He said "well oh I work as a cashier I don't know, maybe isle 14b. I walked away and proceeded to look in that isle. Of course they weren't there. I walked back and asked the customer service representative the same question. She also told me the wrong answer. So I gave up on the bread crumbs. I walked over to the pizza stand. The lady gave me cold pizza. I brought it back and the gentleman working had an attitude. Mumbling under his breath. It doesn't matter what part of the store you work in customer service is very important. You can't catch an attitude with a customer because you sold them hard cold pizza. That's not right. I will be hesitant the next time I want to shop at this wegmans. The 30 minute drive isn't worth it for this kind of service. read more

I just love this grocery store the staff is always their for you and there are so many choices. They have a salad bar and serve meals at good prices. They have a range of options and the milk at giant is about two dollars more expensive and the milk at wegmans is ¢5 cheaper i definetely will recomend this grocery store to all my friends read more

I've been a customer of Wegman's since the mid-90's. We moved down to Germantown, MD in 2010. Prior to that, we lived in Central New York and shopped at their flagship store in DeWitt, NY. Just like the Wegman's in CNY, this one is well managed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and shows sincerely willingness to provide customers a positive shopping experiences. The store is always clean, well lit, and organized. The shelves are well stocked and individual items on these shelves are always organized (e.g., canned goods are lined up neatly and all the cans are turned to have the label face forward). The cafe area is also clean. No sticky or greasy chairs, tables, floor, or food trays. Bathroom is also clean, and smelling fresh. Not many establishments care for their bathrooms as Wegman's does. This is a big thing for me - particularly in restaurants. The only thing I will 'fault' Wegman's on is with their pizza. The crust is too thick and doughy. Having been born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I prefer thin crispy crust. read more

The prices here are generally much lower than Safeway or Giant and they double coupons! Bulk candy section is addictive! Prepared food and hot bar are very convenient, however, those prices are high and add up QUICK!! Great place to go during the week, disaster on the weekend. read more

Let me start with saying I shop here often. They quality is not matched at any other store. The prices are a little higher, but typically worth it. They customer service is excellent. They worked out difficulties I had with the hot bar with out any problem when I went to customer service. They carry truffles in the produce department. The only negative thing I have to say about this store is that the Bucher doesn't have any way to get uncured pork belly. I buy my bacon chemical free and from another store because it tastes less salty than the chem-free bacon they offer at wegmans. I just wish I could get the belly of the pig fresh so I could salt and season it chem-free myself. On the upside this store has everything else I could possibly use or want on the regular. It's worth drive if you are not close, and the store over all is always clean. read more

Nobody does it better than Wegman's: Food bar, build your own trail mix, sandwich stand, food on demand. It's a lot like Harris Teeter except they've raised the bar. I wish they could open one somewhere near Olney or Wheaton where I work. But it's still a top-notch kind of grocery store. read more
