I was so disappointed in a recent order I did for a round white birthday cake and two slices of chocolate cake. ordered ahead and picked it up an easy process . I was so surprised how bad the cake was the look was fine but the icing was falling off in hard chunks while just cutting it the cake and icing were literally flavorless everyone agreed that was there and the chocolate slices even were muted flavor it was just bad and disappointing never had a cake with no flavor before or icing falling off in chunks never ordering here again and it's not cheap read more

Since its opening, Wegmans has been my go to store. The liquor store attached to the store is convenient and the staff is wonderful. Everyone is helpful and friendly - the check out process is always smooth. . Their bread, cheese and deli are outstanding. Chicken and meats offered are organic and wide variety of price points, family packs or single make it easy. I like that they offer the Wegmans brand which is good quality but also name brands. Fresh selection of groceries, large bakery and prepared foods (sushi, pizza, subs, burgers, Asian, soup), good service, liquor section, and clean and big location Love Wegmans for all your grocery and pharmacy needs, though the latter charges more than other pharmacies. They're open 6 am to midnight which is super convenient for customers of all types. They don't always have the best prices though, and you won't really find great deals like you can find at Whole Foods and Shop Rite. They also have their own brand of items which is pretty good quality. Since the pandemic the hot bar is much more pared down and the cold bar is gone which is unfortunate especially since the price has gone up exponentially to 16.99/lb. I had always heard amazing things about Wegmans, and the Montvale location was the first I had the pleasure of visiting. The store was massive and spaciously designed. It offered a wide variety of prepared foods, a food court, giant wellness section, excellent bakery, tons of organic produce and natural beauty products, and so much more. Besides my general visits to stock up on packaged goods, I have tried some of their bakery and prepared items. The 5-pack of vegan Peanut Butter Cookies was heavenly and a definite favorite! The soft, chewy treats were packed with flavor and pieces of peanuts. They also tasted low in sugar. I have also sampled their made-to-order pizza pies. They have a few pre-designed varieties like Buffalo Chicken and Pesto, Spinach, and Tomato, but they also allowed you to build a pie from scratch with options for the crust, sauce, and toppings. I sampled a custom pizza made from traditional crust, fresh mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, mushrooms, artichokes, black olives, and broccoli. The crust was nice and fluffy, and all of the toppings were fresh. However, I was not a fan of their tomato sauce at all. It had a tart, strange aftertaste like burnt plastic and really could have used some sweetness. I heard really positive things about the Buffalo Chicken and Pesto, Spinach, and Tomato pies, though, which was unfortunate since I usually prefer my pies with marinara. I've only been to a few different Wegmans locations in my life, but this was one of the best supermarkets I've ever been to. Besides the fact that most of the items (food and household goods) here are reasonably priced compared to other supermarkets, there is 108,000 sq ft of well-organized grocery shopping fun. For those looking to be the life of the party, there is a massive wine, liquor and beer store connected to the market. In addition, there is a very, very spacious market cafe where you can order made to order burgers, sub sandwiches or pick up soup and buffet-style foods and enjoy a lunch or dinner in their ridiculously huge and comfortable seating area. And if you thought the supermarket was huge, the parking lot goes as far as the eye can see. Honestly, I'm not sure if I've ever seen a bigger parking lot for a supermarket, but I can totally see it getting crowded here ... and very understandably so! read more

This is a giant Wegmans with a lot of really good fresh fruit and produce. They have a great organic meat section although they don't have family packs for the organic meat which is a little surprising given some of the other locations do. I like the fact that they had some tasting stations here too, you could get a selection of their cheese and fruit to try so that you could actually see what things were like. That definitely helps drive sales I think. Service were friendly and quick, and the full place feels like a giant warehouse or barn which is their style. read more

It is sad but true. Our family favorite burger grill will be permanent close as Wegmans think it is not profitable. However grill has gave people many great memory of kids enjoy their cheese burger with French fries, chocolate milk, apple slices with ice cream sandwich for $8.00. Wegmans is a big step up in grocery stores. They have many items that are prepared and ready to cook.... Or even cooked, ready to heat up. The food looks very fresh but the prices are higher then most. An simple example is my fresh jalapeño's which run right around $1.99 elsewhere are more than double that here. One spot was $3.99 then down at the other end it was $4.15lb. That's insane. The rest of the prices are about 10% higher. But with that the selections such as for cheese is vast! I always buy a few wedges here to sample. Today was my first venture into their sushi, which is made fresh every day. I enjoy shopping here as the staff is polite and they are everywhere. Wegmans is the Disney World of supermarkets. Not only is the entire location clean, but it's well stocked, has a helpful staff, and has every item imaginable. Yes, even liquor. Take a gander at the pics of the avocados. This is the only supermarket where I see them this size. Since I have friends who live very close, I spend more time here than anyone else except maybe the residents here. Each time I come in, the staff is friendly and helpful. I have had the staff go out of their way to make sure I get what I needed. Once I came in and was looking for a garlic press for a special recipe and although they were not found in the utensil isle, the clerk actually tracked the last two available located next to the produce section. These people go above and beyond and sometimes it doesn't matter if they are a little more expensive than a discounter. Service is well paid for. See you next week..... read more

This food court is the real McCoy. Is Wegmans the most affordable? Not always. But their selection is fresh and a true delight. The staff here are friendly and the food court is a gem. Get the maple bacon burger. The calories can be burned off tomorrow but it's truly a national treasure. Not super pricy, but the mix they put in there is a true pleasure. It's a bonus to know that chicken sandwiches and soft serve are present. Regarding subs, skip Jersey Mike's, this is the place to be. The staff are friendly and the selection is really good. Pricing is fair, with the footlong at $14. With the filling given it is a legitimate sub for 2. The medium came out to $8 and there's a generous selection of meats, cheese, veggies and garnish. Definitely go for the everything bread as it is an homage to the everything seasoned bagels cherished by many. Spacing here is really good. Honestly I would come bring friends here or a small group given the ample amount of space here. There is even a section for the kids to play toys and the restrooms are steps away. Wegmans hosts fond memories of my younger days, but it's currently dismal due to the shortage of staff and supply chain issues. There's a decent selection of produce, meats, seafood/fish and frozen. The bread and butter (or at least IMO) was the to go section, bakery and hot foods. The selection has slimmed down significantly, but there's still a decent amount available. The latter has fresh items daily so you can appease picky eaters. The downside to good ole Weggie's is the prices- they're steep for most items, especially the fresh ones. I would say it's comparable to Stew's, but I love Wegman's more. Quality wise, everything is worth the pretty penny you're shelling out, and parking is ample at this location. Wegmans is one of a kind. It's a department store for grocery stores- and each department is done very well. Everyday grocery items, hard to find speciality items, amazing cheese selection, world class seafood and meat, organic foods, bath and body, bull goods, housewares and more. Beer and wine selection is off the charts. During this visit we had lunch at the market cafe. The cafe is really a world class food court that stops just short of what you would encounter in a high end mall in Singapore. Personally I like the sushi and poke selection the best. Unlike whole food or trader Joe sushi that has harder rice, the sushi rice is freshly made and soft. I tried the Salmon Volcano roll. It s very tasty, close to the Japanese restaurant quality, but half the price. It's not easy to put everything into a review- you have to go there and see it for yourself. read more

I am a Wegmans fan girl. Our love affair began in 1994 when I was a freshman at the University of Rochester in the chain's hometown. I left UofR almost 25 years ago but the love has never abated. It took them a REALLY long time to open in this area but it was worth the wait. I drive 11 miles each way (about 15 mins) from Nyack, NY to shop here every week. It is hands down to most well stocked supermarket in the area. I am an avid cook and baker and like to cook lots of different cuisines. Wegmans has rarely let me down when searching for ingredients. Their produce is fresh, their cheeses and cold cuts are excellent, their meat selection is great, their fish is fresh, and their baked goods are amazing. Despite what others will tell you, their prices are not that high. I have a ShopRite about 2 miles from my house and Wegmans' prices are as good and sometimes better. Also, the store is clean and inviting with really nice lighting. Their prepared foods are nice in a pinch. The subs are delicious and their grill is really good (PLEASE bring back Danny's Favorite Burger! That sauce is pure Rachacha nostalgia). We shopped at Wegmans through the pandemic and although they struggled a bit with inventory, it didn't seem like it was as bad as other markets. Also, about the Great Egg Crisis of 22-23: large, organic, brown eggs are, as of 2/5/23, $4.79/dozen or 2/$9. But the absolute best thing about Wegmans is the people. I have never had an interaction with anyone who was not friendly or helpful. From the bakery manager to the cashiers, to the young men of the Helping Hands crew who corral the shopping carts. Because of its distance, it's not my "ran out of milk, run to the store last minute" place. I go to ShopRite for that...but I walk out of there feeling sad. read more

They had a pretty minimal gluten-free selection at the time, so I haven't gone out of my way to return. Now, they've accumulated so many more gluten-free items, I had a plethora of things to choose from. From baked goods to tortellini, there was so much I wanted to buy because they've expanded the selection so much. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff, which my wallet wasn't happy about, but my tummy sure was. My friend and I walked around the store for quite some time to see what goodies we could find, hitting the produce section last. I was perusing some lemons when I noticed that several bags had mold that had taken over the citrus. It was pretty bad, so it'd be nice if they ran through and made sure those items weren't available to shoppers. read more

I enjoy going to Wegman's for their food and bakery goods. The sandwiches at the food court are huge and sold at a decent price. Their sushi selections are fresh, decent quality, and is not too expensive. It's definitely better than other supermarket sushi and also better than some sushi restaurants that I dined in. Their fresh breads and cakes are delicious. Wegman's offer a large selection of packaged meat at competitive price and has a huge variety of cheese. They also have a liquor shop attached and wines being sold are good and decent priced. One thing though that I do not buy here are fruits and vegetables. Located just in Montville NJ on the last exit before entering New York State on the Garden State Parkway North, this is our supermarket when our local market doesn't have. We came here on Saturday around 11am with ample parking. The store was crowded but was able to move around socially distanced. The prices might be a bit higher than some markets but it's worth it. There are some foods here that are not sold in our local market. The check out was fast and not a long line. We highly recommend this place. read more

In general I really like this Wegmans, the customer service is great, especially the cashiers at the coffee cafe. My issue is the salad bar is gone and the only available food in the current hot bar are very unhealthy, mostly fried choices. As a result I mostly have been going to Whole Foods, 2 miles away. You are checking out and paying Wegmans but the day of your order a delivery driver will show up to Wegmans and look at the shelves hope what you ordered is still in stock. Not sure how the personalized card on the flowers was going to work if the shopper was just going to grab one off the display. Got burned on Mother's Day on an order I placed way in advanced and all the store manager told me was well it's sold out now what did you expect...
