I love coming here for trivia night on Thursdays! The staff is always super friendly and the beer is good! They also have NA cocktails. I've also gotten the food here and it's great. I recently got a chicken quesadilla which was huge. I shared it and still had some to take home as leftovers. I also got the hummus. This place is a small batch coffee roaster and craft brewery. The space was clean and bright. The interior was spacious; there were plenty of seating, a bar, a cafe, and a space for private events. The cafe is only open certain hours. They have an outdoor patio area with seating and plenty of parking. They served food via Lucky Kitchen 13; small bites and tapas were on the menu. If you're not in the mood for beer, the bar offers wine, hard seltzer, and cider. There were non alcoholic drinks as well such as kombucha and soda. There were games that you can bring to the table such as Jenga. When we went on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it was kind of busy. We found seating easily and we found it to be kid friendly. There were games for them to play and we saw other kids there. I decided to do a flight because all their beers sounded great. I tried out the following beers: -Turning Point, Coffee Porter -Princess Peach, Fruited Sour -You think you just fell from a mango tree?, Fruited Sour -Ube-licious, Imperial Stout All were delicious but my favorites were the Ube-licious and Mango beers. We loved stopping into The Café by New England Coffee Guy based in WeHa roasting company! The owner Jason and his wife Lisa were so sweet and made delicious drinks! This space has a variety of seating available, Wi-Fi (perfect for a WFH spot) and is a fun place to gather with others. If you're not a beer fan, love that you can grab a coffee/tea/etc right across the way. They have a variety of drinks including some delicious ones like the pistachio cold foam (pictured w/an iced chai), white chocolate raspberry, lattes (pictured) cortado, drip coffee and more. My friend and I had a delightful time here on a weekday afternoon. There are about 10-12 beers on tap, but they also highlight ciders and wine that are available. They have a few flight options as well as a build your own. Prices were good. I liked the IPAs and sours the most. Did I mention one side of the space is coffee, and the other side is beer+? I didn't partake on the coffee side, but I like the couch seating. There are some beauty products and soaps available for sale, as well. It's nice that there's some outdoor seating. It's not the most "homey," but it's a nice option and adds to seating space. We happened upon Hildebrand Magic, who was setting up for an event. We got a brief private show, which was a lot of fun. WeHa is such a cool place! I adore bar/cafe combos because I can hang out as a non-drinker and enjoy the vibe. Love the cafe space on the right side, which offers seasonal drinks. I got their Hanukkah latte when I went and it was great! My husband enjoyed some beers he got and the quesadilla we got for our son was a good mix of meat and veggies. I saw board games and an art room all the way up front, and a flyer for events, which I would've totally attended if I didn't have a toddler. I appreciate that they have picnic tables, regular tables, and a sofa. Just check their hours before you go because if you want coffee, they are open at wonky times. read more

Visited for brunch on a Sunday. This place has potential but they really missed the mark for our visit. I think they might be trying to do too much and would've liked to see better execution on a few items VS subpar execution on all the things. The area itself is awesome for a large group. Would recommend for a casual visit for beer and games; would not recommend for coffee or food. Decor - So cute. They also have small items for sale from local businesses. Coffee - Iced coffee was ok. More cream than most of the group would have liked but the flavor was decent. The chai latte was all foam, no chai at all. Food - Really disappointed in our plates all around. The French toast looked & tasted eerily similar to the sticks out of the frozen aisle. Also, the "avocado flatbread" is actually guacamole on flatbread (it was avocado mixed with cilantro, jalapeño, and onion). Super disappointing as someone who doesn't like onion or cilantro. I wouldn't have ordered it had the menu mentioned any of those ingredients. Egg sandwich was mostly bread and the bacon was undercooked and pretty fatty. Bacon jam on the chicken and waffles was delicious, with a hint of heat. Brunch tacos had good reviews with our group. Alcohol - Beer was good. They also have a mimosa flight, a fun addition to a brunch experience. Service - Staff was very friendly and attentive. I've been to the brewery at WeHa Brewery & Roasting several times, but I've been holding off writing a review until I experienced the Roasting side of it too! WeHa Brewing & Roasting is both a brewery and a coffee shop. I just love this concept! When you walk inside you'll notice the glossy wooden benches, with the bar to the left where the beer is served and the coffee shop to the right. I first started with the Candygram beer. This is exactly my kind of beer, it is juicy, tart, and a refreshing type of sour, with notes of mango and banana. Yum! Laura is a wonderful bartender, she gave us suggestions and chatted with us the whole time! For my next round I got a bit of a controversial beer, Berry S'mores. This is a stout, not what I typically go for but I was intrigued. This is so fascinating how they have so many flavor profiles in one beer. You can taste the chocolate, the graham crackers, the berry, and so much more in between! This one is heavy and strong. I couldn't finish the full glass. I had people calling me 'wild' and 'she's not basic' for drinking this beer! We also got some food. We got the Beef Tacos and the Loaded Jojo Potato Wedges. I'm sorry to report but the food was awful. The tacos were cold, and way, way too salty. The potato wedges were alright, but too hot with the jalapeños. There wasn't much quality in either of the dishes. I came back a few days later to try their coffee. It was very quiet, since it was around 9, and they had just opened. I got a toasted marshmallow latte. It came beautifully presented in proper ceramic dishware. I sat down on their wooden bench and enjoyed. It was creamy, tasty, and warm on this first day of fall. They have the cutest setup, where they support other small businesses, like greeting cards, skin care and other local artists. I really enjoyed my experience at WeHa Brewing & Roasting. Came here with a friend to try out the brunch and brew. The place is super cute with a fair amount of seating. Its a mixture of table and bench seating and some tables and chairs. We had the mimosa flight which was nice. Can not speak to how the coffee was on the bear since we only had mimosas while there. The food was good- I had the chicken and waffles. My friend had the potato hash and cinnamon roll. Service was quick and everyone was really friendly. We had a great time. I may come back when I am in the area to try the coffee. read more

This place is so cute!! I was a little disappointed the hours posted online was incorrect so I remedied that when I arrived a tad too early. I tried the Dublin Fog Tea Latte and it is so good. I have not been here for the brews but can attest they make a mighty fine brew. I first stopped in during a marathon day of errands looking for a bit of a pick me up. The space is warm, welcoming and perfect for someone looking to get some work done or catch up with friends. I usually have a go to order but was feeling daring and hard the "baristas choice" . I cannot recall specifically what it was but it put me in the best mood and carried me through the rest of my errands. Stopping in for the first time on a Saturday afternoon for our long missed family outing, I was excited to see this carve out a spot off Shield Street near the well known A Dong Asian grocery store plaza. Let's just say maybe that will be a stop for me when I visit the store. The entrance shows these building size windows that I could imagine can show the life and fun that you will be a part of when you walk in. That Saturday was more of a pensive lowkey morning with more coffee drinkers than beer drinkers. I do like the layout with the counters facing each other and seating in the middle. Which will you choose? A hot coffee to warm you up or a cold beer to chill you out? We followed the smell of hops than the smell of beans and made our way to the bar where two staff members were glad to see we were choosing the correct choice. With the three of us and vary palates for beer, I had opted for ordering majority of their beers except for stouts and a brown ale that isn't really for us. The staff must of known something that I didn't as their eyes widen as I put the order in. What I didn't realize from the listing on the table was that it was outdated and the screen had the full list, enough pours to fill three flight handles. With 11 glasses of different IPAs, sours and other brews we all found one that we liked. read more

There was a time when WeHa Brewing and Roasting was blowing up my Facebook feed. It wasn't open yet, but they were looking for potential investors. Although I did not invest, the concept impressed me. In theory, it was a great business model. Two businesses would share space and resources. The coffee business would be front and center early in the day. The craft beer business would be the focus later in the day. And there would be some crossover in the middle, when hopefully the people chilled out on beer would get along with the people hopped up on caffeine. I eventually lost track of WeHa B&R, until I noticed Instagram Food Blogger Hartfordeatz's "Story" image of a Stout from WeHa. I researched a little, and was surprised to discover that WeHa B&R had opened about a month earlier without me knowing. I recently visited their building located next to West Hartford's Shield Street Plaza for a morning coffee, and I talked with co-owner and head beer brewer Will about the business. Will is an experienced brewer comfortable working in a number of different styles, including traditional German, New England IPA's and stouts. They're presently pouring drafts on site and filling growlers. They also recently acquired specialty equipment that will enhance their ability to release beer in cans. Stay tuned for future info about can releases. Will's business partner, who was not on site while I was there, leads the coffee roaster side of the business. They roast green coffee on premises rather than use and sell beans roasted by others. They have a coffee shop there that makes and sells beverages, and they also sell bagged coffee beans that they roast. The three bags that were displayed while I was there included two blends - "Blue Back" (a Medium Roast) and the "Center" (a Light Roast). It's kind of cool to picture somebody in Des Moines drinking West Hartford themed blends some day. WeHa also displayed a medium roast Peruvian single origin. I ordered a black cold brew. Since the person in charge of coffee was away when I was there, they weren't quite sure which coffee they used to make the cold brew as they recently have used an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, and sometimes use a Colombian. I guessed it was the Colombian as the coffee lacked the type of fruit notes that you would normallly taste in an Ethiopian coffee. In any event, the coffee was dark, smooth, nutty and on par with many cold brews offered by other area coffee sellers. I look forward to learning more about the coffee end of the business, and trying the beer when I'm there during beer drinking times. WeHa B&R has ample seating inside if you want to meet or hang out with friends. The atmosphere is laid back. Will told me that they are working towards having an operational kitchen on site, and they've identified the person who will lead that aspect of the business. If I was just grading the coffee, I would grade my experience at the 4 Star Level. However, Will went above and beyond in talking with me about their business, and I'm giving another .5 Star in light of that. So pending my sampling of beer on a future date, I score this review 4.5 Stars, which rounds up to 5 Stars. Best of luck to WeHa Brewing and Roasting. read more

Sunday afternoon. Small brewery with a good selection. Same building has the roasting company on the right side which is nice. Also a very decent selection for coffee. We did 2 beer flights and a nice burger with fried egg. Service was very good and fast. The ambiance was very casual but the party room was very loud, made it impossible for me and my husband to really relax and enjoy our time together . Outside was too hot so we definitely wanted the air conditioning space. I felt that it's not that romantic but more of hanging out with your friends vibe. read more

Based only on brunch experience! THE DRINK: -I got a mimosa flight which had some good juice options to choose from. I enjoyed it and there were a good variety of flavors to choose from. My friend got a regular sized mimosa and also a coffee and enjoyed both! -I would definitely go back and try some of their cafe drinks. THE FOOD: -the food was nothing to write home about, sadly. I had seen their "new brunch menu" online, which is how I discovered this place, but was a bit disappointed. -I got a breakfast sandwich w bacon and it was okay. I'm a big BEC (bacon, egg, & cheese) person and I wouldn't order this again -my friend got the breakfast tacos and she said the meat was really good but I don't think she would feel compelled to order again ***since writing this review there has been a news article that said the food service restaurant in here is closing*** THE SERVICE: -during the day I was there (again, I went during brunch time) it was young, presumably college age folks working the counters. The one at the bar was nice enough, typical college age, friendly service. THE ATMOSPHERE: -the inside is really pretty and has a cool aesthetic. Mix of tables, benches, and I think some soft seating? I can't recall off the top of my head -honestly the feel of the place was much more tame than I was expecting, I would assume because of the cafe aspect. I came with kind of a "wooo brunch! Brewery! MIMOSAAAAAS!" mentality but there were people there who looked to be reading or catching up on work with their case drinks. -I would say it's still a fun place no matter what your vibe, but I wouldn't go here again if I wanted to get solidly brunch buzzed. But maybe it just happened to be the day and the crowd! -I also don't know what the crowd is like in the evenings , so it's worth it for me to go at that time. Overall, it was a cute little place but I am likely not to add it to the top of my rotation. But, like I said, I'd like to check it out in the evening to see what that crowd is like! read more

Nice new spot that's not in a high traffic area, while being easily accessible. Went today to check out their brunch. It's not often you find a brewing spot that serves the usual beer while having brunch and coffee, too! First, I like their brunch menu. It was simple yet full of flavor, while straying from the usual pancakes/french toast/waffles trifecta we associate with brunch food. I had the hash and it was so good!!! I actually usually dislike hash because every time I have it, the potatoes are usually bland. Their hash was FULL of flavor and had a KICK. Also, everything on their brunch menu was affordable.. I didn't have to sell my body to pay for a meal, which was nice. I also appreciate that they played to their strengths (being a brewing co.) by having a mimosa flight on the brunch menu. In the same regard, I like that they have coffee options. It really brings brunch together. My only complaint is that I wish it was warmer in there. Will be back! read more

A few foodie friends of mine posted about WeHa Brewing & Roasting serving brunch so I knew I was overdue for a visit! Beers and coffee? Yes please! Recognition must be given to that IMPECCABLE pork belly breakfast sandwich. It is crispy, savory, fatty, and so well balanced with the fried jalapeños and fried runny egg! I am still dreaming about that lovely sandwich! I've been obsessed with the matcha lattes here, especially the current special! I'm impressed they use the traditional whisk to make the matcha which most places do not. This extra attention and care needs to be praised. This is a lovely location offering a bit of everything. I've been doing tons of studying here, but it's also a lovely spot to sit with friends for coffee or to let loose with their mimosa flights. Nonetheless, I will be back again and again. You instantly get good vibes waking into WEHA brewing and roasting company. It's super cute and laid back. Definitely a great place to get some work done or hangout with a friend for a drink. Not the biggest fan of the food though. It's a little pricey, all the sandwiches will cost you over 17 dollars. My wrap was filling but super greasy. But it's not a deal breaker. He told me he could get me something else. But if for health reasons, you cannot have caffeine, that is not helpful or accommodating. Amazing Happy Hour! It's only $3 for half pours which is such a good deal. They also have a great set of options, not all IPAs like some places. I really liked their coffee cream ale and their stout in particular. The inside is pretty big with a lot of long tables. They have a parking lot, a bit small but there are large lots all around them so not a problem at all. Marc, our bartender, was super friendly and knowledgeable on the beers. Beer and coffee in one spot may be my new favorite combination. A way for everyone to get something they enjoy! Went here with my parents- my dad loves beer and mom is not a fan. I tried both. The beer variety was solid, and they even have cider (my favorite!). As for the coffee, they are a roaster so everything is fresh. We enjoyed a standard black coffee, which is how I typically drink and IMO the best way to actually taste the quality of the coffee. We also got a specialty coffee drink which was very good. The day we went they were having a car show which was really cool and another great way to involve the community! read more

Stopped by here for some coffee when I was in the area not too long ago. The cafe also has a brewery, so you can have some local brews (or pick up some cans to go), and they also happen to have a small boutique store, selling items by local vendors. I believe they have some events in the evenings, though I've yet to go to any of these events. I liked the specialty latte I had had when I visited here. It looks like they were a little understaffed at the time, so my drink took a little while to make, but the workers were friendly and it looks like it would be a nice place to do some work out of as well.
