Unprofessional, unsolicited conduct. Would not recommend. About a month after we closed on our home, Jillayne Southren (also known as "Jill"), a real estate agent with Weichert who represented the seller in our purchase, showed up uninvited at our property while listing a house across the street and told my 8-month-pregnant wife that we needed to improve our landscaping. She was never our agent. Her role ended at closing, and she had no authority, professional or otherwise, to dictate how we maintain our property. If landscaping was genuinely a concern, that was a conversation she should have had with her own client, the seller, while she represented them. Instead, she chose to confront us, weeks after closing, while we were still moving in and adjusting to a new home with a pregnant wife. This was inappropriate, unprofessional, and completely out of line. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Jillayne Southren or trust her judgment in a real estate transaction. read more

I would highly recommend if you are a seller NOT to use this firm as a listing agent because in my opinion one of their agent's is very unethical. Her name is Joanna Nowogrodzki who was the seller's agent and listing agent on a single family home whose address is 87B West 9th Street in Bayonne. I lost out on this home even though I offered $565K and waived the appraisal contingency. It sold for only $540K. The reason the she recommended the other offer in my opinion and my broker's is because she was the listing agent and favored a direct sale so she would earn double commission which is exactly what happened here. While it is true that I was only putting down 5% and the other people were putting down more she admitted to my broker that there was a very slim chance of it under appraising and I provided proof that I could take significantly more funds out of my 401K if it under appraised to meet the $565 offer price I made if they accepted my offer. It is pretty obvious to me and my broker that she did not act in the best interest of the sellers and screwed them out of an extra $25K. In fact, she told us what the high bid was in the range of $520K-$530K before we submitted out initial offer and she told my broker that the seller would be very pleased with $530K so I bid $536K and she led us to believe at that point we would get the home. However, she played us, used my high bid to hold a second open house whereby she convinced the sellers to have a second open house. She did this in my view for her own best interests not the sellers to try to get a direct offer and earn double commission which is exactly what happened. Because then when the home essentially went highest and best and I was the highest bidder by $25K above her direct offer, she recommended to the sellers to favor the lower bid putting fear in them that I was only putting down 5% and likely exaggerated the risk to them that it might under appraise. It is completely obvious to me and my broker that she was only recommending the lower offer to line her own pockets with double commission!!! She is very unethical do NOT list your properties with her unless you want her to act in her own best interests instead of in you as the seller's best interest and you will then be out a lot of money!!!!!! read more

If your a seller be vary carful weichert uses certain title agencies as I understand they are owned by weichert the purchasers agent had the new owner in my house working 5 hours before closing took place and when I arrived to check in on my property she wanted to know why I was there I wanted to know why they were there befor closing she gave me a vary snarky answer and she didn't even know when closing was to commence the title company ignored my attorney all day long after they lost my signed paper work when he had proof it arrived via FedX at 9:30 title employee didn't complete title transaction until after 4:30 so I hade to wait until Monday to get funds wired to my account they said too late for that RUN away from this complete set of morons! read more

Tells me that we inquired about info, but could not reach us by phone, so took it upon themselves to simply come to my house. Seriously? Incompetent and rude. Didn't put the right phone number online, greeted by a rude agent that redirected us to the actual agent, Amelia Bruszewski, who was also rude. Wasn't willing to give a virtual tour during COVID-19 even though she would be accompanying us to the place anyway. Got excited to rent the place only to find out it was 55+, and she tried to blame Zillow for not being able to mention that the place was an adult community ? She then suggested realtor.com, but her posting on that website was exactly the same as the one on Zillow, barely any description and no mention of 55+. She did offer to help us find another place, but I don't want help from someone who can barely do their job. I could be a better agent in my sleep. read more

They like to bait people on Zillow with rented apartment listings. Then they will constantly email, text & call you about finding you another place. I gave the info on what I'm looking for to one of their agents after he told me it was listed, then never got back to me. Then a few more agents kept harassing me if I was still interested in the rented apartment. read more

My roommate and I were moving to Hoboken and went through Weichert Realtors. While the agent seemed nice enough, she rented us an apartment that has a terrible landlord in a building that has a reputation for having a great deal of problems. We only later found out that she knew what a rude, incompetent, sexist man the landlord is, but failed to mention that to us. We have since had to take legal action against him on several occasions for not fixing problems with our apartment such as broken windows, moldy walls, a broken refrigerator - all things that were broken when we moved in. While I understand that Weichert had no legal responsibility to inform us of the reputation of the landlord/building, we feel as though the realtor took advantage of the fact that we were young women with little experience. I question the realtor's integrity as well as the integrity of the entire firm, and certainly will never use their service again or recommend it to anyone. read more

My husband and I decided to move to New Jersey from San Francisco and saw this place for rent on Craigslist via broker named Desiree Vega from Weichert Realtors . I asked my friend to have a look at the place and we decided to pay a move-in fee ($300 CASH) to book the apt before we reach. The broker promised to clean the apartment before we reach and fix few broken glasses as well. We informed the broker that we would reach there on a Saturday night with lots of luggage which she said was fine.When we called her to inform that we were on the way she asked us to send a photo of the Cashier's check which was for rent and deposit. We found this extremely suspicious and declined to do so. As soon as we reached there (with our luggage which was a lot!) the Manager and the broker asked us to sign the lease. When we said that we would like to see the apartment for ourselves first just to confirm. The Manager completely flipped out telling us how huge a "Courtesy" he was doing by coming there on a Saturday night and that we can come on Monday if we want to waste his time. It looked like the Manager and the broker were working in collusion to cheat unsuspecting and tired customers. However we insisted, so the Manager relented and the broker showed us the Apt. Problems with the place : 1) She had promised us an apt in building 280 but the apt she booked for us was in another building 270 which was farther away from Grove station. When we told her its not the building she had promised in the Email, she simply said it was a mistake. 2) The apt was full of roaches. Not cleaned as promised and the glass was still broken. She said the management was supposed to get it done and she does not know why it is still like that! 3) Kitchen look like it has never been cleaned and blamed it on previous tenants who were apparently very unhygienic. Everything seemed like excuses to us. She showed us two more apts in that building which were even worse. After all this we decided not to take the place and move in a hotel for the night as it was getting late. The next day when called the broker again she did not receive our calls and never called back so forget about the move-in fee! Very Unprofessional Realtors!!!!!!!!! read more

I recently went through Weichert Realtors and I am very disappointed with the service they provided. I had a lot of issues with the agent. The communication with the agent was very bad; each time I tried to get in contact with them they either did not have time for me or were not willing to give answers to my questions. When it came to signing the lease I discovered that there was a very important provision in the lease that I did not want to be included in the lease. The agent had never discussed the provision with me and included it without notifying me and getting my consent. As a result I had a hard time trying to resolve the situation. Needless to say that Weichert Realtors did not do a good job at trying to help me resolve that problem. My experience with Weichert was very bad. I will definitely never use the service of Weichert Realtors again or recommend it to anybody. read more

Very disappointing! I would have zero stars! We worked with an agent, searching for condo to buy. 1) Realtor never sent us any listings. Expected us to search for properties and send it to him. 2) Kept pushing us to a decision, even though he didn't show us many options. Kept giving a feeling as if he was being patient although we were not making a decision. 3) He did not care to understand our needs or budget details. And at the end of it all, he says he did a great job. Big WASTE OF TIME and probably loss of good buying opportunities. read more

Don't get close to these crooks!!! We were looking for a property near Lake Gerard and we gave a 10, 000.00 cash, in advance to make an offer. And offer had already been made, which is illegal. A month has passed by and we can´t get our cash back!! They come up with all sort of excuses. Bottom line, we will take legal action against these crooks! Stay away! read more

Within less than 24 hours, he put together 5 viewings and spent a very productive afternoon with him looking at properties in Jersey City. He took into consideration our criteria and wasted no time showing us properties that did not fit our requirements. An absolute pleasure to be with, Art gave us comprehensive descriptions of what Jersey City had to offer to commuters into Manhattan and a good knowledge of each of the buildings out there. read more

HORRIBLE!! after speaking with a WEICHERT realtor several times, I asked her to look at a certain property & was told she would not she me any properties unless I called a certain mortgage comp she recommended. even though I had already applied with another & told her I wanted to stay with my own company she said she wouldn't show houses unless we called this other company. Is this how weichert does business!? I dont know what kinda kick back she was getting, but so pushy & unprofessional! Never use weichert for a realtor!!! read more

I had a terrible experience with Weichert. I came from out of state to see an apartment with one of their brokers this weekend, for which the broker did not show. I waited for an hour and was on the phone with several members of the staff who promised me a call back, which was not returned. After an hour I left, consequently missing my train home. On this Sunday night I had to wait an additional 3 hours for the next available seat, pay for a second ticket and return home much, much later than expected. Today I received a call from the broker that the apartment was leased a week ago. I'm now out over 24 hours and a couple hundred dollars which won't be replaced - all without seeing an apartment. I can't find any excuse for this behavior, and consider it highly unprofessional. I'd recommend against working with this company. read more
