He was in pain, uncomfortable and barely sleeping during the night. Our vet refused to operate because of the size and the location of the tumor. The doh also has a heart murmur, which would make a surgery more complicated. He sent us home with painkillers telling us to keep him comfortable for the short amount of time he has left. I brought him to another vet who said the same thing. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Kotev. I brought the dog to him. Dr Kotev did the surgery couple of days later. He did phenomenal work. It's been 3 months now, and I have the happiest and healthiest dog ever! No pain, no discomfort, and he is more energetic and happier than ever! I've just had an extremely disappointing experience related to their billing department and need to share a caution to others. I have had a very high credit score for many years and pay almost every bill very soon after it arrives at my house. Recently I got news that a derogatory comment had been added to my credit report. It showed up as some Medical Bus. Bureau which turned out to be a collection agency that it turned out had been brought in by IBJI. I was completely shocked and offended. I had contacted IBJI to try to see if there were any overdue charges for my family. The person I talked to said that she didn't find anything, but that there were a couple of IBJI contacts (however, she couldn't provide me another contact number for this supposed 2nd IBJI business). I had to contact the collection agency. They claimed that they'd sent me a couple of notices by mail and by text. I didn't believe them when they said they sent 2 mail notices, but I asked them for the IBJI account number related to the concern. I contacted IBJI again w/ this acct. number, and now they said yes, they saw the charge and had sent it to collections. They also claim to have sent multiple bills for this one time charge last year. I still have no idea what could have happened to all these mail communications as I've had a history of paying bills very promptly for so many years. Regardless, even if they really sent bills that were lost by the post office or my family, I would have appreciated a phone call before they would take this to collections. I've paid a number of bills for this company over the years and apparently somehow one charge was missed due to some communication issue. My credit score was dramatically impacted from the extremely high level to good. The collection agency claims this will be updated after my payment, but I'll believe it when I see the correction and cannot communicate just how upset I am that the billing department couldn't call before contacting a collection agency and causing me such trouble. I'd add that it would be nice if their online billing site would be more informative. You can pay bills if you receive a statement with the $ due, but when I've gone in to make payments, I've found that the system doesn't tell you what is owed. Before I consider returning to this business, I'd like to see a better online service as I've seen with our primary medical service company where I can pull up amounts due and statements online. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GROUP BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE.

I can't say this review is of Illinois Bone & Joint, as it is more specific to ONE of their doctors…read more- Dr. Lori Siegel - who is by far one of the best doctors I've ever seen! From the second she walked in the room I could tell there was something different about her. She's in tune to her patients, she's listening, she's thinking (I could almost see the wheels turning, LOL), she's optimistic, and thinking outside the box. I should probably preface by saying that she's a Rheumatologist. And within 90 seconds of being in the room, she had started moving my hands/legs and told me I was hyper-flexible. While seeing Dr. Siegel, she just made me feel at ease. I felt comfortable and happy. I felt like she really wanted to help me. And she talked to me like a real person, like her next door neighbor - instead of being arrogant & condescending as some can be. She's looking outside the box - to help reveal things my other doctors haven't found. In my 2 visits with her she's given me several GREAT suggestions that I'm going to implement in my life, AND uncovered an illness (thru bloodwork) that we previously didn't know existed. I wish I could make her my general physician because she's just absolutely got something special about her. I will definitely recommend her to all my friends & family, and fellow Yelpers! If everyone had the personality that she has, the world would be a beautiful place! As far as "Illinois Bone and Joint Institute" goes.... I don't have much. The office was very nice. Classy, clean, comfortable, bright, and very large. The front office lady seemed like the gate-keeper with an edge of cranky (cranky with a smile, LOL). And the checkout girl seemed a bit "too busy & too cool" for me. The office sure wouldn't keep me - but I'll go wherever Dr Siegel goes.

I later learned that this tube is $10 through insurance if the prescription was filled the correct way through an actual pharmacy. I feel completely ripped off and taken advantage of.

All the other staff we encountered here was also friendly and followed all Covid-19 safety protocols. They were quite busy on this Friday afternoon ( apparently lots of trampoline and scooter incidents occurring right now so be careful), which was likely why the wait was so long. Fortunately, if we continue to stay safe we're in the clear to go back to Dr. Kramer for another year. The receptionist (with short gray/yellow/purple hair named Stephanie at Woods Drive at 7:20 pm 12/11/2023) refused to acknowledge any responsibility, even calling the police when I expressed my frustration as she told me I HAD to speak nicely to her before she would see if there was anyone that could help me. The need for coordination between the facility and the call center is alarming, raising concerns about North Shore University Healthcare Systems' overall competence. The fact that urgent care was allegedly not accepting patients since 3:30 pm, the doors were still open at 7 PM, and patients were still being seen. When I asked the call center if I needed an appointment, he said no, it was Urgent Care, just go there. This experience has left me with a profound lack of confidence in the medical group and its recent mergers. I cannot recommend their services based on this and other recent situations. this is painfully unfortunate. Yet, they keep buying more hospitals. I also sincerely hope North Shore University Healthcare takes Stephanie's lack of responsibility seriously. Her dismissive and uncompassionate behavior, especially in a healthcare setting, raises serious concerns about her ability to handle the responsibilities of her role. Her lack of accountability and respect for the job, combined with the potential implications for someone's health and welfare, is alarming. I strongly recommend that the healthcare system reevaluate her suitability for such a crucial position before her actions cause more severe consequences for patients in need. Cost: $15,000 for Abdominal and Chest Total body fat percentage shaved and trimmed off was about 4%, although according to my body scan I lost fat in my legs and arms too, probably from my increased cardio from my cut in my workouts. Occupation: Police Officer I've been working out 6 days a week since 2019. I was struggling to lose some stubborn body fat around the abdominal region and struggled with Gyno around my chest region from being a vegetarian as a child and eating a lot of soy. I sought out survey now that I was making some decent $$$. The nurse, staff, and Dr. Alford were all extremely polite, and humorous during the procedure. The actual procedure itself took about 3 hours and you're extremely medicated and loopy. Even with the medication the pain itself was probably a 6/10 and i literally felt like I was being cut open and probed. I guess at the time it sucked but biting down on a towel helped a lot but it was worth it because there are immediate results and I'm so much happier with my chest region. I feel like all my muscles I've been working for my pecs are now actually showing since all the fat there is gone. The abdominal region I think needs more time to fully heal and close up but it does certainly look a lot more leaner and V shaped. I would recommend this place, but also would recommend Xsculpt if you're a man. They have more male oriented procedures. DR. NICKEL LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE! Prior to him, my health had declined for 25 yrs, not knowing…read morethe cause. Several auto immune diseases developed, to where many days I couldn't function. I found out through Dr. Nickel, I had blood infection and bone infection/dead bone in my jaw (due to a failed procedure when I was 15 yrs old to remove a wisdom tooth). That oral surgeon (don't remember his name) neglected to inform my family he left a portion of my tooth in me which became very neurotoxic. Prior to Dr. Nickel, I found out from a dentist, 30 yrs after the failed procedure, the wisdom tooth chip was still in me. So, a 2nd surgery attempt was made to remove the chip, but the tooth wouldn't budge and was on a nerve. The nerves were wrapped around the tooth. Another failed attempt! I actually almost died the next day from the infection being stirred and pushed further in me. I then met Dr. Nickel, who took an x-ray and showed me I had dead bone in my jaw. No dentist ever told me / showed me this on the x-ray. I was nervous for him to perform the surgery, after two failed attempts from past surgeons and almost dying the second time, but he was confident and put me at complete ease. I was also taken aback by his genuine, humble demeanor. He is a very kind-hearted, patient man and is the "go-to oral surgeon" in the area for complex patients. The procedure was a complete success! I had a 3-month, 6-month, and 18-month follow up and everything healed beautifully. There was no nerve damage, and my energy came back, among other things.
