The sausage & egg were not large enough for the bagel. This was also one of the more expensive bagel sandwiches I've bought in the area and I don't think the quality matches the price. The place also felt messy and unclean. Maybe the quality and cleanliness would have been better if I got food first thing in the morning, but I don't think I'll be heading back here anytime soon given the other options in the area.

So I made my way over there to try em out. Long Island really rapes you on a bacon egg and cheese, or at least this crap-hole does. Paid something close to $9 and it was god awful. I have a hard time believing this ever could have been good. I see 80-90% of the pix on here are from one dude three years ago, some look good n all, but this place is anything but. Hard pass. Signed - a guy struggling with living on Long Island again.

The food is really good and the prices are cheaper than the other local delis. I go here often for breakfast sandwiches, coffee and lunch. Always fresh & yummy. Service is ok. Friendly but not as fast as other delis. I don't mind waiting a little for good quality sandwich that's not going to cost me $15 like other places. It's worth stopping in. I usually call ahead

It's the perfect blend of a traditional Long Island Deli and a Bagel shop. Longer story: I recently moved further east from Huntington into the local area and have been disappointed with the quality of food options around here (or lack thereof), especially when it came to bagels. So much so that each weekend for our morning bagel routine I would try a new bagel spot on yelp. 10-15 bagel spots in and there was nothing that really drew me in. I was hopeful when I saw bagel boss was opening a location in yaphank, but I tried it twice and both times were terrible. It was expensive, rather lackluster food quality, and they got my orders wrong both times whether ordering in person or on the app. I finally came across this place on yelp, which markets mainly as a deli (doesn't even come up on Apple Maps when you search for bagels), but saw another review that highlighted their bagel options. So tried it out. We finally found our morning bagel spot! There's not a huge selection or variety of bagels unless you get there early, but they're all fresh and delicious and they have all the staples. Their deli sandwiches are also amazing, very generous portions for the price and again, everything is fresh and tastes great. Will definitely be coming back regularly to this spot. Don't let the looks outside deceive you, it's a great place!

So completely disappointed in you , John…read more Maple St. Deli has been a huge disappointment, especially considering it's within walking distance of my home. It's a quaint neighborhood deli with over 100 years of history, which is why I kept giving it chance after chance. I've ordered from this deli many times. They have frequently gotten my order wrong, but I never complained. I simply accepted it and moved on. On Father's Day, I ordered three egg sandwiches around 10:00 a.m. I arrived at 10:30 to pick them up and still waited another 15 minutes. After spending about $35, the order was wrong. Again, I let it go. Today was the final straw. I ordered two egg sandwiches and a small deli iced tea for delivery. The total was $33 before tip. The owner, John, delivered the order himself. He rang my Ring doorbell twice but never knocked. We completed the exchange without issue. When I opened the bag, the order was wrong--again. I called and politely asked to speak with the owner. I explained that my order had been made incorrectly. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, John hung up on me. I called back three more times, and each time either he or his staff hung up on me. I drove to the deli to speak with him face-to-face. His response was simply, "That's unfortunate," and he refused to remake the sandwiches or offer any refund or solution. Everyone makes mistakes. What separates a good business from a bad one is how those mistakes are handled. I wasn't angry about an incorrect sandwich--I was shocked by the complete lack of customer service, accountability, and basic respect. After years of overlooking mistakes and trying to support a local business, this experience has guaranteed I will never return. There are plenty of delis that appreciate their customers and stand behind their service. Unfortunately, Maple St. Deli isn't one of them.
