I've heard good things about this place and went in to check it out myself, I was building a bbq island and deciding if I should purchase here or else where. As I'm greeted nicely I just said the usual "just looking" and proceeded to walk around and look at all the choices they have. A customer comes in and I overheard them say how happy he was with their service and installation, was this a set up? No, whole family was there so I decided to talk to this gentleman and ask him about his experience here. He went in how he drives 30 mikes out of his way to come here, really? Yes, tells me how they helped him pick out the right grille, how to take care of and he even called back on how to cook on it! Thought that was funny but talked to his lovely wife and she told me. They put together an elaborate kitchen with them and raved how their the best around, even the teenage kids chimes in. Ok, I'm interested now and Dean assists me, pricing is good and ended up buying my bbq kitchen from them. He never pushed anything and just gave me information and made my decision to purchase from them. Nicest people in the world here, happy and love what their doing. Locally owned and in business for a time so I'm sold. Ordered all my "stuff" and delivered to me quickly, kept me in the loop and called a day before and on the day of delivery. Everything is working fantastic, they steered my the right way and cooking like crazy now. Thought I had a problem as it looked like I had some deep scratches, they suggested bar keepers friend for stainless and worked well. I scratched a stainless cover on my burner and they told me to bring it in. Bobby helped me on this one and worked his magic, fixed my mistake and then offered to come out to go over my grille! No one does that type of service.....they do, unbelievable! So yeah I buy everything from them like spices, accessories, fireplace rocks whatever I can. Everyone at the store was so friendly, no pressure, they allow you to stroll and look and then help you through the hunting process of which grill, And they all know the details of the grills they carry to fit your cooking style. who does that anymore....... They are good at matching the right grill with your needs. Especially when you tell them your spouse does not clean the grill very often. So they had pointers for that too!! Very helpful. My dad bought a Weber EP-330 grill here and we couldn't be more happy with our experience. As a native Texan, born and raised, I can tell you with absolute certainty, there are five rites of passage for a Texas boy to become a Texas man: 1.) Drink his first cold beer. 2.) On January 13th, 2019, at the age of 28 years young, I was finally able to complete my journey into Texas manhood by crossing off #5: a journey I wouldn't have been able to complete without the assistance and tutelage of the unrivaled staff at BBQ Outfitters in Southlake. I'll never forget the first day I stepped foot into BBQ Outfitters. It was a cold, gloomy Saturday afternoon in Highland Village, as I was making my way from store to store, searching for the perfect pellet smoker. Just as I was about to call it quits and succumb to the simple, mundane flavors of Dickies BBQ for the rest of my life, I was lifted by my nostrils by way of the most mouthwatering aroma I've ever had the pleasure of smelling. Like Toucan Sam, I felt compelled to follow my nose to the source of this intoxicating fragrance. For miles I traveled, first through Flower Mound, then through Grapevine. Then, like some sort of unparalleled sorcery, the smell had intensified beyond my wildest comprehension -- I knew I was almost there. As I pulled into the parking lot of BBQ Outfitters, butterflies began to multiply in the depths of my stomach, and I felt the child within me become giddy as can be. This was it. I was not just about to become the proud owner of A smoker, but THE smoker. One to rule them all. I walked through the door and was immediately floored by the presentation of their store. They had elegantly designed outdoor kitchens, a plethora of pristine smokers and grills, more BBQ accessories than I had even known existed, and more! Not long after I retrieved my jaw from the floor, I was greeted by Dean. Little did I know, this man was about to become my BBQ/pellet smoker sensei. Following an introduction and a firm handshake, we dove into a 45-minute conversation, covering the ins and outs of the Yoder pellet grills. Dean was knowledgable, passionate, and personable -- all three traits exuded in every second of our interaction. His genuine excitement towards their product selection made me excited as a potential buyer, while his vast knowledge of the industry and competitors products provided me with the confidence to make what some would consider an exorbitant purchase in comparison to some of the popular, inexpensive alternatives. Dean was less of a salesman, and more like a good friend who wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and needed. I didn't realize customer service of this magnitude was even a thing anymore in 2019, but Dean single-handedly revived my faith in the retail experience in a single interaction. It goes without saying, I purchased a shiny, new Yoder YS640 pellet grill on a silver competition cart, alongside a ton of accessories (grill cover, two-piece diffuser, rubs, pellets, grill grate kit, etc.). They even threw in a free bag of pellets! After a couple of days, I hooked up a trailer and headed to pick up my new smoker. Dean was there to meet me and help me load everything up. He, along with another fantastic employee who's name I didn't catch, loaded the smoker, strapped it down, and even employed some bubble-wrap foil material to protect my new smoker from any kind of marring during transport. When I got my smoker home, I enlisted the help of my father-in-law to haul this heavy thing to my back patio. The moment he laid eyes on my smoker, he turned green with envy. I told him all about my experience at BBQ Outfitters, and there's no doubt he will be a customer of the future, as will any and all of my friends and family who ask about any of the amazing fare I prepare for them on my Yoder! I called to see if they had a part for a Yoder, spoke with Bobby. He didn't know me from Adam and treated me like I had purchased something there before. Wasn't sure the size of the grill so he text me his number so I could send him a pic of the grill to get the proper size and part. He replied very fast with part and price. I went to pick it up and Bobby gave me some insight on how to change out the part and save about 20 min of time doing so. Will definitely be doing my bbq business here going forward! read more

purchased a grill last Fall and had their recommended guy build an outdoor kitchen for me. The guy did a great job. However, the grill has been somewhat of a pain to learn. after a few months, im happy to say that ive got the hang of it (i used a weber for the previous 20 years and this new grill gets more than twice as hot). well, i just had my first warranty claim for a switch. they handled it very well, with no issues, and im happy to know they stand by their product! after all, i purchased this specific grill based on their recommendations. read more

This is one of the poorest managed places I have been in awhile. Was going to look at grills for my new house. Walking in my dad said "oh ya this is the place that was so rude to me I went down the road and bought mine" but we were in the area so thought we'd try it out. It started with them not knowing what product I was talking about once they understood it they began to speak badly about a brand they do not carry (which I've had great experiences with) and then when they proceed to show us what they do carry along that line the associate try to make me feel below them by asking what I planned on cooking on it like you couldn't do certain things. Well number one I have done everyone of them on that style of grill and number two when I proceed to ask her if she has every used one before she replied "no" lol. Terrible service, slandering a good company, and making themselves look stupid. Will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

In the past I have purchased over $4000.00 worth of merchandise from this business. A Hoshizaki Ice maker and the Green Egg plus stand and extra grilling equipment. I got a bid from them for other Lynx Grill, doors, and drawers but another dealer beat their bid. I went into their store today and was going to buy screws that go on the Lynx doors but upon requesting if I could get these the owner went on a RAGE and told me to go and get the screws from the other business. I had already placed more bags of grilling charcoal for the egg at the desk. I was told that no way did the other dealer beat their bid, but that I would have to go to them to request the drawer handle screws. Which of course I went to and did get the screws and purchased the Lynx Grill cover and Charcoal as well. If the Hoshizaki Ice maker was not already installed, I would return it to them!! I will never set foot in this business again. So save yourself the trouble and shop for your outdoor grilling needs else where. If this guy wasn't the owner he would be FIRED!!! I purchased my Twin Eagles Grill, Drawers and Refrgrator from BBQ Outfitters last year when I built an outdoor kitchen at my home. I have been completely satisfied with the Grill so far. The Fridge stopped working in June of this year so I called the store who immediately contacted the Mfger The refrigerator has now been replaced and BBQ Outfitters has kept in contact to make sure I was being taken care of by the Mfger.
