Yesterday, I placed a pick up order for 11 AM. I was planning on picking up the order on my way home from a class, but I was unable to attend my class because my son was sick with fever and vomiting. At 1 PM on the same day, I received a very passive aggressive and rude voicemail from a pick up associate overemphasizing 3 or 4 different times how I was late for my order. When my husband was done with work and picked it up around 2, the same associate was passive aggressive both when he called to say that he was there and when she brought the groceries to the car. I could understand if we were day late or even came that night, but to be treated so rudely when we were only a couple of hours late for the pick up was so unnecessary and unhelpful on an already stressful day with a sick kid. We used the Honeygo Weis pick up for many years before moving to Parkville and have been trying to give this location our business since it is more local, but the Honeygo Weis has never treated us that rudely (even when we picked up an order 2 days later!!). We will now be making the drive to Honeygo or using Safeway pickup instead. read more

The bakery has really gotten bad with the filled donuts. A hugh donut with a mere DOT of filling. Terrible!! Parkville/Carney area.

On Fri 1/27/23, I stopped by deli. The first thing you notice is there is no number dispenser. You have to rely on the staff to ask who is next and hope fellow shoppers are fair. Secondly, there are no prices displayed for the deli salads. I purchased tuna, seafood salad, ham salad and chicken salad. (Please see the attached pics.) The seafood salad had a foul smell as soon as I removed the lid. I had to toss it immediately. The tuna was very watery. The chicken salad was more like mayonnaise with celery and a few shreds of chicken. The only thing edible was the ham salad. I called the store to warn them that the seafood salad was spoiled and to suggest they check the quality of the other salads. The woman who identified herself as "customer service" was dismissive and rushed me off the phone. read more

Love shopping here. They have the best deals every now and again. They have the best staff especially in the seafood department. The lines are kept short to a minimum some days. The store is always clean, however the parking lot is not the greatest. The arrows are just pointed wrong and spaces are too small. read more

I am very disappointed with this Weis, I find the people at the deli very rude , the only one that is not is an older white hair woman, but there is a young man with glasses that never shows you how it's cut ,and a woman who when I ask for thin her response was I'll do it the best I can very rude. I do not like self check out, if you are going to have people stand there and help you or watch you then they should be checking people out . when they are standing there they are on there phones all the time , it's a waste of help. The bakery used to be so good but they don't have the good jelly turnovers ,the square yellow cakes with choc. and white icing. it's sad that this store has gone downhill since it opened but what makes things worse is if you have to pay more now a days that you can't have better service . I can't stand this store. I go very rarely. But yesterday I went there and I saw a rake in that little plot of weeds and cigarettes. It wasn't just a normal rake, it looked very heavy duty and dangerous. Well, I just happened to run into the store manager, a middle-aged woman, and told her about the rake. She blamed it on the landscapers and said she'd take care of it. Well, I drove by today, 24 hours later, and the rake was still there. I just can't believe it. I know it might not seem like a big deal but it was not something I thought should have been sitting out like that. I also don't like the way they try to trick you with their prices. What's with that? Just give us a price. You never get the correct price when you go to the register. I miss Mars. I loved that store. read more

This is my local supermarket and I shop there regularly. They have an unusually wide selection of products given that they are not a very large store. What is very large, however is their willingness to be helpful. This is the best customer service I have ever experienced at a grocery store with the exception of Trader Joe's. Someone is always available to help you out at the self check out. Once in a while the computer does not have the correct cost of a product that is on sale, but that is always fixed quickly by the attendant. The prices at the store, are somewhat higher than the discount stores, so I use this store, primarily for the things that I can't get at the discount stores, and I am almost never disappointed. read more

Wow do I miss Mars Supermarkets! The thing that truly bugs me about Weis is that they use this pricing gimmick where they put the price on the shelf but you better stand there and read it carefully because many of them say you must buy a certain number in order to get that price. This week one of them was bagged cheese. Mix and match but who needs 6 yes 6? Six were required in order to get the posted price! I'm single and 69-where would I put 6 and it would take a freaking year to use that much! Aldi and Lidl are not much further for me and their prices are fantastic. They're going to put them all out of business and I say good if that's what you have to do to compete on prices with them. I say goodbye! (The only reason I went there was for a particular kind of pretzels-I can get everything else much cheaper at Aldi/Lidl) read more

I do NOT like this store at all. In case you didn't know, this location use to be a Mars (before Mars went bankrupt). Weis brought the building and put their name on it, but everything about this store still screams Mars. Very small and dated location. The food is overpriced and the selection is limited. This is probably the worst Weis location in Baltimore. Do yourself a favor and drive a mile up the street. There is another Weis off of Belair Road. read more

I go to this store only when I need something in a hurry. Today I went and there was a young woman working in the entrance way. I asked her if the carts were cleaned, and she said no, but there are wipes. Little too late for that, I'd already put my hands on it. Their pricing is also confusing. Also today when I was in the parking lot I was about to back up when I saw a man waving behind me. He wasn't waving at me he was waving at a worker. They proceeded to talk right behind my car not caring or noticing that I was there. Thank goodness the truck in front of me came out and moved. There is a lot more I could say but I'll keep it to myself for now. read more

You may find a Weis sign outside but this is still very Marsy. From the burst of frigid air when you walk in or the smell of lunch meat, these signature Mars features take you back. I was never a fan of Mars so I find the lack of change disheartening. My only sadness of Mars closing was the homemade Italian bread which you can still get here. I imagine Weis will do a full blown renovation once the acquisition is profitable. We shall see. read more

I shop at Weis in Parkville, MD. The manager Brian there is always kind. He is always making sure the store outside is clean and, the shelves are stocked. I used to be an assistant mgr for another company and, I Believe in my heart he deserves a promotion. I continue to shop at Weis because of employees like him. read more

Looks similar to the old Mars on the inside - some employees included - but customer service has definitely declined. Seems like they never have enough registers open and they don't keep up on stock like Mars did. At least it didn't turn into a Safeway. read more

We've been here twice since it opened and both times were horrible. Between sale items not rining up correctly ( I always check to make sure it's the right item ) , having to wait for a head cashier with a key because their system is weird but the worst yet is some of the cashiers! I was a cashier for 7 years and bagging the groceries properly is a big deal , along with being friendly and scanning items in a timely manner . This last experience with the cashier ( I won't name her ) was HORRIBLE I felt like part of me died during the checkout process. She couldn't find the barcodes on two items ... her finger was overtop of it . She rang up my peppers wrong and ignored me when I told her they weren't jalapeños. .. she also tried to pack them WITH LARGE CANS ! My bananas were rang up as plums for over 5 dollars and I had to tell her the banana code 4011 which is like the first code a cashier learns , plums are 4040. .. again she looks at me with this blank stare and finally changes it . The total disregard for my groceries and her lack of friendliness was just the final straw. The first cashier we had was very similar so there won't be a 3rd try at this location. The girl was more concerned with her getting off on time ( as she asked the head cashier ) . If you want to shop this chain I highly recommend using a different location than the carney store . read more

This store is nice but I also miss Mars. Higher prices and a lot of items that I used to purchase are unavailable. Lunch meats are especially higher and twice I have purchased lunchmeat that was slimy a few days after purchase. Staff at Mars was so much friendlier. Some cashiers here just seem like ringing up your order is a death sentence. So sad. read more

The sales are Thursday to Thursday....correct? How come on Friday morning all the sale items I come in for are all gone? The staff are not approachable....the cashiers have all the personality of a wet mop. Are they mad about something? Do you teach cashiers to put two items in each bag? I came in to the store around 7 after working all day 7 months pregnant to use my WIC check and came to the register with boxes of cereal that were WIC approved and Wanda the cashier would not allow me to use my check because they were not in an 18 ounce box. I continued to explain to her that there was no 18 ounce boxes left on the shelf and she still refused to take the check. She was very rude as she told me that what I'm buying isn't coming out of her paycheck. I asked for the manager and she said he was too busy that I could call tomorrow to speak with him. I also asked what the policies were for wic and she said she didn't know. It was so embarrassing being harassed by this women in a long line of people. I really don't like Weis. So many times sale items do not ring up the sale price, and most of the cashiers always looked depressed and are rude. Or want to tell you their life story about how their husband left them and they can't afford the groceries I'm buying. I'm a nice person, but I seriously can't take it anymore. I went to get in line today and passed 3 registers because I've had the ladies check me out before and they were terrible. And the one I got today looked mad, never said hello, and bagged my groceries and sat them on the counter behind her instead of sitting them in the cart. So I had to move my cart and walk around to load the bags, and had to move 2 times out of the way because there is no room for 2 carts with all the crap they have by the windows at checkout when someone else had to get by. Bummer because I like to walk to the store since it is close. I really miss Mars. read more
