This was my first Weis experience so bear with me. To be fair my grocery store game has been continually upgrading since relocating to Baltimore. I started Save A Lot, which is good in a pinch, but doesn't often have the same items each time so it makes it hard to regularly get your staples. Then Eddie's, which I LOVE, but tends to be on the smaller boutique end of grocery shopping. Then Giants! Which is a very solid staples neighborhood grocery. However I just discovered Weis and there was so diversity in the PRODUCE. Hello fruits and vegetables this winter. I will also say this particular location has stacked ethnic sections (the Asian and Hispanic sections were very impressive) and the frozen section was full of goodies I haven't seen anywhere else. New favorite grocery spot!

Self checkout hell. There are no Weis cashiers.

Weis does not accept returns, not even for non-food items. I'll NEVER shop there again.

I'd say the only negative (if you can call it that) is that the store shares a parking lot with Target and Marshalls.

Was it my skin color? The answer is yes She didn't know whether or not someone was helping me or not because she never asked if I could help you with something until the other young lady came back from upstairs correcting my cake that I had to purchase over the phone and when I placed the order I had special instructions for it however, when I picked it up, it wasn't to you my satisfaction so I asked them if they could correct it. I love when young adults start in the working world sometimes they get it right and sometimes they don't she didn't quite understand what I was asking until the second time around which it was corrected, but again not to my satisfaction, but it's a little too late. I already done spent my money and it's I have to deal with it. The cake itself is not bad but again it wasn't what I wanted but when are we gonna start putting skin complexion to the side and just service people as people, I can't keep supporting businesses that don't care for me. this will be my last time shopping at this market

I like the international foods section where they have Goya products (I prefer the calamari in marinara) ! I also tried 2 ginger 'shots' (1 of which I tried while I was on the bench inside the Giant) while I was and they were very spicy ! ...But good lol. They also carry Rao's products! I happened upon a security guard inside the Giant and I confirmed he carried a gun (because I think I saw it as I walked in). It turns out he is an employee of a private security firm that won business with Giant and he is armed due to his private security firm 'allowance'? He said he also 'carried' all the time off of work. I was shocked that he was armed in Giant (a grocery store!) and said something of the sort. I think it 'overlord' to carry a gun in a grocery store. If this is the case across the country why are they possibly arresting, beating, shooting people maybe for 'stealing/shoplifting' a little bit of food or baby products! Maybe people have no money and need a little assistance while maintaining their freedom and maybe they have a brother who would pay the bill... all humans need to eat but first and foremost they need cash to live. I wonder if this armed security guard(s) have ever given cash to the homeless... anyway totally weird, Giant and security firm (company) ! They are scaring everyone! And they are not kind. Does giant have any food programs or farmers markets ?? What a horrendous company making millions and millions for themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I do use Eddie's for is there emphasis on local items as well as their fancy cakes. I prefer this location as I have had much better luck dropping in and finding specific cake flavors and like that there is an actual parking lot versus a tiny garage. I will purchase local kombucha, coffee and vegan ice cream sometimes at Eddie's. I like the selection they have, especially of Zeke's coffee and Wild Bay kombucha. For the bakery, I go to Eddie's because they have slightly fancier cakes that can be picked up at any time (don't need to pre-order). Of course, you can pre-order, which is advisable, because you never know what they will have in stock. For my wife's last birthday, I grabbed a raspberry and chocolate cake which the bakery employee offered to write a message on at no extra charge. What a cool service! Eddie's has a decent selection of gluten free and vegan items. I will peruse them but don't usually purchase because of the price point. Anyways, Eddie's is cool and I will definitely continue to visit on special occasions. The prices keep it from being a regular grocery destination.

I stopped in at 8:35 PM to grab groceries for a potluck breakfast. As I tried to leave, an employee stopped me to ask if I had made two transactions. I told him no and attempted to leave again--only to be stopped by the security guard, who demanded to see my receipt and then went through my bag to verify that I had paid for everything.
