This is my go to pharmacy unless I have a prescription to be filled after hours, then I go to CVS (Greenbelt). CVS (Watkins) has my info in their system, my physician sends my prescriptions directly, and I get a text when it's ready. They offer to mail it for a small fee but I always pick it up. I have never experienced a worse CVS pharmacy in my entire life. *Everything* is broken, they open up late, strolling in while ppl are standing there waiting, never have the appropriate quantity of medicine in stock, you can't get a human on the phone, the staff doesn't return calls or know when medicine is coming in, pharmacists give conflicting information, etc....It's wild. I've been coming here because it's technically the closest to me since I've moved back to MD but insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I stopped in with my son 8/29/25, after a walk at Watkins regional park. I was stung five times by yellow jackets. I stopped by to get some medicine. Given these unique circumstances I did a pharmacy consultation. The pharmacist was so kind. She gave me advice on what to take when, and what to look out for and what to ask for if I don't improve. Have been filling prescriptions at this CVS for some time. My experiences have been mostly positive. I find the pharmacists to be knowledgeable, approachable, and empathetic. Susan O., one of the pharmacist, is super sweet and goes above and beyond. I greatly appreciate her advisement and concern for my well being! She sincerely cares about patients/customers. John Brown it! I did it again! I am in need of a specific medicine, that apparently is carried in the stores OTC of CVS. Thinking that what I need is no big deal, I travel to my least favorite CVS location with the hopes of finding it. After perusing the aisle, I didn't see it. Just to ensure that I'm not trippin, I think to ask the folk that work there. I didn't immediately notice any folk in the red shirts but what I did notice were pharmacy folk. Silly me thinking that people that assist with providing medicines can answer questions about them. Anywho, I noticed three folk behind the pharmacy counter and I politely asked for their help, two failed to provide eye contact, simply ignoring me, while the third attempted to answer my question. As she was doing this, the other person made a comment, to which she abruptly stopped answering my question and yelled for the gent that worked there. The other two continued to ignore me. I thought this was pretty rude. The worker at CVS helped me out, but of course they don't have because this CVS never has anything. Trolled again. Seriously it won't happen again. Don't do it, don't waste your time with this location that has nothing AND rude staff. read more

This pharmacy applies discriminatory practices. I put in a prescription for a medication. Did not hear from the pharmacy so called to check on the status. Store clerk advised that the prescription was put on hold because it would require a high copay. Yet I would not have been notified of this had I not called them. The fact that the pharmacy assumed that I would not be able to pay a high copay ($67) to get the medication without giving me the option speaks volumes about the lack of concern for my health. Also, when I went to pick up the prescription I was told the pharmacist declined to fill it until I was present. Wondering if I was in a different zip code if this would have been handled differently. I cannot give even 1 star to this kind of disregard for my health and at the least the common courtesy of advising me of their practices, discriminatory though they may be! I'm so disappointed that I can no longer patronize the pharmacy here though it's near my home. Key problems: They no longer answer the phone or return calls, though the recording on their phone give you the option of leaving a message. What?!? I have an upcoming outpatient surgery that requires 6 prescriptions. For the past week, I felt like I was playing whack-a-mole with the pharmacy there. The doctor called in the first 3 prescriptions. The recording on their phone did not mention these 3 drugs, so I didn't know if they were ready. I went in at 10 a.m. Saturday hoping to avoid a long line. Only 2 of the prescriptions were ready. The other was not covered by my insurance, so they didn't know what other options I would want. Why not call or send a text message to me about this??? So I picked my option. They told me to come back later. No, I won't come back later on a Saturday. I will come on Monday. The surgeon sent me a text 3 days ago saying an additional 3 scripts had been sent to the CVS. CVS doesn't have them, according to their audio recording. Will I go there after work during their busiest time to see if they filled my scripts? No thank you! read more

10/20/2021 - 6pm T.R.A.S.H! This CVS is close to my house, so I decided to give them a try. 5-6 prescriptions later, their time is up. My most recent prescription was sent in by my provider yesterday afternoon and today, over 24 hours later, the app says it's still processing. There's always a dumb excuse for why prescriptions are not ready. I can't prove it, but I know that they don't start filling prescriptions until customers arrive based on what I've heard in the store. I don't know if they're understaffed or just bad at time management because there's always 3-4 people working. I used to work in this very pharmacy when I was a teenager and it was not this bad. Finding a new pharmacy asap. **Update** 10/20/2021 - 7:30pm I went in to pick up my prescription, despite knowing that it wouldn't be ready, and surprise i was right. I heard Drema tell the 2 people in front of me that their prescriptions were not ready and that she would have them expedited, before telling me the same thing. Then she had the nerve to have an attitudeyy about it, like its my fault they're understaffed. These people literally wait until customers walk in to start filling their prescriptions. This is not a sustainable process and is absolutely why they're always behind. Smh read more

Awful!! Yesterday evening after standing in their always long and slow moving line I was told my prescription was not ready won't be ready and they backed up so they don't know when they can fill it. What!! Never heard of such. Pills put em in a box with a label didn't have not rocket science. Waited 2 years to get named changed to married name I didn't know what name they had at what time. Lines always slow.very poor customer service at best. Half the medicine is always out!! I'm not going back even though it's in my neighborhood!! read more

This Pharmacy and MOST IMPORTANTLY Registered Pharmacy Tech Bartou Wilson is EXTREMELY disrespectful to the Seniors Citizens. I personally observed and experienced it. He is arrogant and unprofessional. He will not apologize when he's wrong and speaks disrespectfully to seniors present as they wait an inordinate amount of time to pick up prescriptions. If you can go to Any Other pharmacy please do your self that favor. We can NOT allow Seniors in our community to be treated with such disrespect. CVS would do well to close this Pharmacy all together, if Bartou Wilson is their best option. . One of the young ladies working in the pharmacy tried to secretly apologize, clearly intimidated by him. His tone and dismissiveness with the seniors waiting for prescriptions can NOT be tolerated. WE are this community, if people do not treat us with respect we should not support them. read more

Unbelievably slow pharmacy.. dropped off my prescription overnight and received email the next day saying it was ready for pickup. Of course they couldnt find it and I still had to wait while they prepared a new order. The next two customers had the same issue read more

This pharmacy has to be the worst ever. Dropped off prescription, was told 1 hour and after 3 hours was told they had to verify prescription with doctor and will probably be ready next day. So how long does it take to make a 5 minute call; must be 24 hours. Uggggghhhh read more
