When I unwrapped my sandwich I was so disappointed with what I discovered. I've never had a sandwich this thin from Hayek's before and I've been shopping here for over 25 years. I will still shop there but I may be done with sandwich's. I'll include a picture of what 15.00 gets you these days. Disappointed is the best way to describe my experience today. There was tomato on the sandwich as well. Take that away and the meat could not be seen.

While speaking with him, I brought up the fact that a flashing light in Hayek's triggered a seizure in me recently. He explained that he has to hire someone offsite to change the lights, and that cost's money and he's never heard of a flashing light triggering a seizure in anyone before. I had a medical incident in the store, which was just dismissed by a manager completely. I still came back to the store to purchase dog treats and they were disgusting. The manager disregarded any of my concerns and I am extremely upset. I used to love this store. I will never recommend it to anyone again.

This one is average - meaning the stock was there, it was clean, and there were no negative interactions with subpar employees or weird Walmart customers. Came here to look at a few specific things, so I didn't go through the entire store. If you've been to one Walmart you've basically been to them all as far as layout and such. I had no employee interactions, which is fine by me. It was a Friday afternoon, so while it was busy it wasn't overly crowded as far as customers went - also fine by me. Parking lot is decent with enough space options. If you want peace of mind and don't mind walking a few extra feet, you'll be okay with some of the farther spots. Again, compared to most other Walmarts, this one is decent and one I'd attempt to go to again if I'm in the area. Trust me, there are too many far worse locations out there - so when there's a decent one, it's a good thing.

The store appeared to be a drama free zone. Everyone was working and there were not tons of rolling carts blocking the aisles which is the norm for most stores. The kind cashier phoned another Dollar General to see if they had any in stock for me. I am always just taken aback how everyone who works here goes out of their way for the customers. This Dollar General has also seen a face lift in the past year. Aisles are more organized and the quality/variety of housewares has really improved. I'm a regular here and highly recommend this store to anyone who is in the Newton area.
