He walked me through each step of the process, made me feel totally comfortable with what he was proposing and doing, and was in touch with me every day of the actual work. Mr. Morrison proposed sodding and pinestrawing the area as well as cleaning out two existing swales to manage excess water flow. We asked that his crew also trim bushes and perform general yard clean up and maintenance. We agreed upon a set cost for the entire project. After admitting he underestimated and charging us for additional materials he stopped with the work only partially completed. He sodded about 34 of the area specified on his drawing. He left several areas of completely bare dirt, no sod or pinestraw. The crew was supposed to clean out our dry creek bed. They weed whacked it and walked away, leaving piles if detritus to block any future run off. You decide if you think this is a job well-done. Personally, I don't. When we approached him about the incomplete job his response was unpleasant and unprofessional. In fact it was blatantly rude. He referred to our concerns as "ridiculous". He refused to fulfill the contract as drawn for the agreed upon amount. While the owner of the business was difficult, the two men who did the actual labor were polite and hard working. I will never hire this company again. I would not recommend Morrison & Sons Landscaping, LLC. I want to give a review for Sarros Landscaping. Phil and his team totally transformed my current…read moreyard into the dream yard we didn't even know was possible. First, we had a nice backyard, but we had a yard that sloped to the house that never grew grass very well and always suffered with some drainage issues. Phil recommended and put in a paver potio that included great looking stones, firepit and pergola to give it character and style. I cannot say how much we love this patio. We cook down there with our grills/smokers, we have weekend fires in the fire pit for s'mores and cooking, and we love to just sit and relax as we hear the birds and watch the kids play on this transformed area. Second, we bought the house for the yard in the past for the trees and adventure, but our kids wanted grass to run/play. This is where Phil recommended putting in a retaining wall and leveling or backyard (with appropriate grade for drainage) to put a beautiful grass filled yard. This involved lots of prep, grading, tree removal and planning but the results are amazing. Phil not only put in zoysia grass and planned plants, replants, and beds all around my house, but had the new sprinkler systems put in to help water the investment. Phil also put grass all around the house and even put in yard lights (which I have always wanted) to shine on the house and tree canopy's which makes things look so great at night. Phil even helped me put in a tree swing between two trees since we had to take out a dying tree that we previously had a swing on. Third, and most importantly, Phil is great to work with... I am an engineer so I am detailed and I want to discuss things regularly. Phil ALWAYS had the time to talk, plan, and make sure that we were lock step in what we were doing with the yard and what the expectations were from both parties. Lastly, when the job is completed, Phil doesn't go away. He still welcomes calls to check on things, come look at the job and make sure things look right, and give advice on anything that his team has helped put in. When you invest in something that matters you want to give it to a person who is going to care about your investment as well and that is what Phil does. I have a high standard of how I want things to look when they are done at my house. Many times I do these things on my own because I can do it well. I have also learned to hire people who are qualified to do excellent work because I know I won't regret it for the years to come when I look at that investment over the years. Investing with Sarros Landscaping was a no brainer. We love our house, our yard, our new way of living, and I can't wait for the years to comes being out there and enjoying the outdoors.

Coooer started us with expectations and scheduling over the phone. He and Cody worked together as if it was one representative - we never had to explain ourselves twice! Cody and I walked through the job and expectations of 'beautiful on a budget'. He created the design idea on the fly, during the free consultation. The images he described were perfect for what we were looking for. Further, of the three companies bidding, Apex was the only company that agreed to do the full job of grading, drainage, and replace the landscape. About a week after the 2.5 days of work, we had a major storm. All the rain water flowed perfectly through the new drain system - proving we made the right choice. One thing that I appreciated was that she used as much of the material that had been installed by the previous homeowner as possible. This minimized the amount of new shrubbery needed and kept the costs down. I was very pleased with the initial presentation and the No Limit crew maintained the yard completely from there on out. The owner is infectiously cordial and polite. In the spirit of truthfulness I will say that there was a small communication snag very early on. However, Holly handled the matter professionally and courteously and I was very impressed to say the least. Also, there were a couple of times where I had to follow-up about something that may not had gotten done on the last cut. They were always extremely receptive and rectified the situation to my satisfaction. Throughout the season it was a pleasure to come home every other Wednesday and see that our yard had been transformed into a beautiful almost scenic oasis. Everyone that has seen the new side yard have been thoroughly impressed with the aesthetics and quality craftsmanship, but the biggest compliments come from our furry family members.
