This is a great spot right off Highway 80. The owners are friendly and have a very simple but effective system -- take any open space. Spots are gravel. Bathrooms and the laundry room are clean. Showers are nice. WiFi is included. Since it is right off the highway, there is road noise, but it didn't prevent us from getting a good night's sleep. If traveling through again, I would stay here. read more

This is a perfect no frills stopover location. The bathrooms are nice and clean. Showers are hot with good water pressure. Nice laundry facilities. The owners are great. It is located close to the freeway and very near the exit so access is easy. The whole place is gravel so it is not dusty, but there is no grass. The trees are small so there isn't much shade yet. We were there in October so it was cool and didn't need shade but I imagine it would be hot in summer. Spaces are angled and all pull thru so parking and exiting is easy. Full hookups at every site. The whole camp was spotlessly clean. One more thing the camp gets it's name from a nearby lake. The road to the lake is steep and windy. I would not want to take my RV up there but the lake is beautiful and a great place for hunting and fishing. There is a rustic campground up there but without hookups. read more

Towing our family pop-up caravan back to Las Vegas after a week in Yellowstone, we needed a place to stop for the night and Angel Lake RV Park was just right. Easy to access right off the freeway, you can check in quickly and get parked and setup in no time at all. Full hookups at each site including water, electric, sewer, and cable TV. Every site is pull-through which is great for someone like me who is not the best at backing in his trailer. Having just spent a week at a KOA park near Yellowstone, I will say this: I enjoyed the peace and quiet at this RV park. I brought my family here but there is no playground and I didn't see any other families with children which was fine by me, I was tired of hearing kids screaming and shouting all day long. It's off the highway so there is some road noise and a train whistle blows off in the distance from time to time but I find these sounds relaxing and they are easy to sleep with, maybe I'm crazy. The site is well maintained and very clean with bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities that are open 24 hours. The lot is almost entirely gravel which means less dust and fewer insects. A few trees add some charm but are not really big enough for use as shade. Picnic tables are there but they are plastic and unstable, good enough to use as a utility table while you setup; this is my only complaint and it's a minor one. Having found such a nice base camp, I might look around more for activities near Wells, Nevada and plan a return trip. read more

The Rv park was quiet and clean. It has all the amenities one would need. Their wifi is excellent. The park staff was very helpful and friendly. The small RV park is quaint and full of personality. The sites are all gravel, but have picnic tables. There is a golf course across the street. We didn't golf, but maybe next time. Did I say it is "Pet Friendly" too. After our mediocre and ridiculous experience at the KOA in Wendover, NV, (who close the office early; good luck for late arrivals), Angel Lake RV Park in Wells, NV will be our go-to spot when next traversing I-80. All of the hook-ups are drive-through, and when I called, the kind man on the phone said, "Don't worry about when you get here, I'll be available to help. Just relax. We can take care of the payment when you arrive." We did. When we showed up he was a kind and helpful relief. He even checked on us a couple times when we were setting up.They offer a discount for AARP, AAA, AARP and Veterans. Nice. Cheap, spotlessly clean, kind, and helpful. read more

A clean, flat, well-priced and absolutely no frills RV park. Just be sure to request a site far away from the front office where they keep the dumpster, when it's warm out and the breeze blows you'll swear a corpse is rotting under your trailer. If you ask about having it moved (since it's on wheels and all) the response is "It's not my dumpster, call Elko Sanitation maybe they'll move it." And if you have the temerity to suggest that maybe, just maybe paying customers shouldn't have to smell rotting garbage all evening you'll be told "I can give you a refund and you can go somewhere else." That's a word-for-word quote by the way. On the way out of town west on 80 towards Reno there's a much nicer looking RV park, with trees and grass. I wish we'd stayed there instead, I'm sure the owners couldn't have been any more rude so even if it was as bad as Angel Lake RV park at least we'd still have benefitted from shade and grass instead of hot sun and gravel. Also as noted in another review... hello trains whistling all night long! Very relaxing, went quite nicely with the reek of the dumpster. Never again. read more

We stayed 1 night, on our way to Idaho. As we didn't have any plans or didn't know any place in that area, I found Angel Lake info online, called the office late in the day thinking that they were probably closed, to my surprise someone answered and saved us the spot. When we arrived, the lady was very nice and helpful. Campsite, although close to our neighbor, was leveled, easy to park and affordable. Bathrooms were clean and free of charge (always a plus). You have to keep in mind that you are on the side of the highway, and yes, there's a train track close by, but there's nothing the owners can do about that. To me, after driving all day and being so tired, we slept like babies and were ready to hit the road again. read more

I stopped in here on a cold night in March on my way to Utah. It was just what I needed. Debbie, the manager, met me and showed me around and then signed me in. There was quite a lot of snow on the ground but she had shoveled off several pull-through sites and let me take my pick. The park was quiet except for a mild freeway noise which was no bother at all. The facilities were all very clean and in good working order. I didn't use the laundry but did use the shower. All in all, a good visit and I'd go back. One quibble: How about some hooks in the showers for our clothes? Thanks! read more

Someone from the office will help you park rig. That's a nice service. They had a little water damage due to tons of rain this year. It has all the amenities you need for a overnight or longer stay. The bathrooms are spotless. So if you want a convenient place to get off the road this is the place will you hear I80 just a little. Last night we stayed at Angel Lake RV Park in Wells NV. We called a few hours ahead and made sure they had availability since we were traveling on Labor Day weekend. After 9 hours of driving and being exhausted, the owners and their daughter greeted like long lost friends and were so very nice. They showed us the anemities of their bathrooms, showers and laundry. IMMACULATE!!! The park Isnt fancy but there was plenty of space between sites. This is a great place to stay the night while traveling. read more

We have stayed her twice just for a night on our way through Nevada. The place seems to be a mom and pop type place, no frills but has flat easy spots to pull through and clean bathrooms. I haven't really noticed the noise level in the two times we've stayed there over the last 2 years. At $30 a night you can't beat it! If you can squeeze it in I highly recommend taking a drive up to angel lake- it's a stark contrast to what you see all through Nevada on 80! Bring some jugs to fill with their delicious spring water once you get to the lake! read more

We stopped at this RV park in November as we were traveling from AZ to WA. The owners are VERY nice and helpful. The campground, laundry room and showers were all really clean and neat. The pride the owners take in their campground and facilities shows. It is also an easy on/off the interstate. We will definitely stay here again! read more

This park is very clean and well kept, from the RV spots to the restroom/laundry. Very impressed! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the traffic noise on the I-80 all day and night long. Unfortunately, the park is located at the bottom of a hill so you get to hear truck's "jake breaks" constantly. Normally you wouldn't think this to be a problem until you stay in a very thin walled RV. We will stay here again if we come back to town since the place is so very well kept, I will just have to learn to ignore the traffic. We stayed here for 2 nights. read more
