I used www.blueshieldca.com member services to find a Chiropractor near me and Well-Being Center was on the list. Im not injured, I just work out and do alot of work in a computer chair and like being adjusted once in a while. I called , made an appointment for later that week. I was later called by someone that stated that my insurance would not be accepted unless I have some kind of injury. I called blue shield and they stated that my insurance covers 20 visits a year with my co-pay and there is no restrictions on any sort of existing condition. This establishment is probably trying to scam me or wants to accept patients that will see them over and over again for a long time. I called another doctor, got an appointment, insurance confirmed and will see them instead. I would not recommend Well-Being Center to anyone and have submitted a complaint to Blue Shield to get their listing removed. Update 4/3/26 - Blue Shield will contact you and investigate. I found another chiropractor who saw me, no questions asked . Im not sure why you dont even get the insurance # and call them directly instead of making me do all the administrative work for you. read more

I hesitate to write a review for Dr. Chung Well-Being Center cause I don't want to let out a well-kept local/insider's tip out but honestly when you are in so much pain, you really need someone like Dr. Chung to help you get back on your feet. His practice is busy but if you are in a lot of pain, he will try his best to get you in. He does NOT accept walk-ins. I found his practice thru a good friend and was quite honestly so desperate and suffering from severe, acute pain that I didn't give it a second thought. So happy I did. His practice accepts insurance....some do not...ask before you book an appt. It can be very costly in my past experiences. I've been going to him on and off for over two years now and feel he truly is gifted (3rd generation acupuncturist and chiropractor). Here's what I love about him: 1) He's a sole practitioner so he the one that will treat you...always. 2) He's honest. If your injury or pain is caused by other seriously issues, he will tell you and suggest you get x-ray, MRI, scans, etc. He not one of those doctors that will string you along to drain your pockets. He will tell you like it is. I joke with him all the time that he wants to break up with me before I am ready. 3)His bedside manners are simply the best. If you have seen as many doctors as I have....I have a lot of health issues from autoimmune disease...you get to experience a lot of horrible doctors that shouldn't be practicing medicine. He is NOT one of those doctors. He's funny, kind and simply wants you to get better and on with your life. read more

Really the most honest and effective treatment you can receive. He effectively helped me manage my pain from sports injuries and when I was in a severe car accident and ended up with a herniated disc. Dr. Chung made me love needles! And believe me, I hate them. I'm the kind that tells the nurse to make the rubber band tighter so my veins pop out. I was told I had plantar fascittis & 3 months later it turns out I have 2 buldges on my L5 & L4 irritating my nerves that made my foot & leg numb. I tried steroids, pinch nerve pills, physical therapy & nothing worked as quick as Acupunture! After just one session, I walked w/no pain for the entire day!! I'd give Dr. Chung 10 stars if I could! There are so many amazing reasons to get treated by Dr. Chung but ill list my top few. 1. He is trustworthy. From the moment I called to ask about an appointment, he asked me for my insurance details before scheduling any kind of appointment so that I wouldn't get charged for anything against my knowledge. 2. He is informative and preventative. He diagnosed my issue and went into detail about why I was in pain and also how to prevent the pain in the future. I had the worst stiff neck of my life. I couldn't move my neck at all at its worst and it would even grow into migraines. It kept me from being able to work and I was desperate for help. After seeing Dr. Chung for a few weeks I haven't had stiff neck since, and it has been almost a year. 3. Amazing bed side manner. He is welcoming and kind and never makes you feel rushed. Dr.Chung had treated basically my entire family, and his treatments have helped me so much. He say down with me, and examined what was going on in my back. I had been to previously two other doctors before coming to see Dr.Chung and they simply told me that it was my muscles, and prescribed me some medicine. I initially came in to see Dr. Chung in October 2014 for a stiff neck. A couple of months prior, I was suffering from chronic pain in my neck and shoulders and was managing it with trips to see a massage therapist. Although, the massages provided some relief, the tension in my neck and shoulders ultimately led to an excruciating stiff neck. I decided then that I needed to try something else. I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Chung through Yelp. He specializes in both the Chiropractic and Acupuncture disciplines. One stop shop! He is thorough and a good communicator. He is great in explaining what the problem is, what treatments can be done, and the expectations of the results. I was worried that my career as a dental hygienist was over, but now that I'm taking steps in treating, managing, and preventing my neck and shoulder issues, I can continue to work.
