We even cleared the entire space beforehand to help expedite their process and reduce costs. However, we were shocked to be charged over $6,400--nearly $2,000 more than agreed. We understand it's not always going to 100% reflect the quote, but there was no prior notice or written approval of extra charges. When we questioned the overage, they claimed they gave us "their most generous discount to date," which was misleading and unacceptable. We disputed the charge with American Express, but were told the final bill they gave us after the work counted as "written notice," despite no prior communication about the increase. This is unfair and contradicts their own contract terms. After consulting with an attorney, we were advised the company is in breach of contract. If they do not refund the overage and honor the original quote, we are fully prepared to take legal action. This review is a final effort to resolve the matter before going to court. She helped take everything downstairs, but left all the trash down there and didn't help me haul it to the trash cans outside. She was real happy to take my stuff to be "donated" and even took my old iPhone to try to sell it. I thought she meant she was going to help me sell it, but apparently she just wanted to sell it and keep the money for herself. She also tried to cut the session short. When I contacted her a few days later she told me that we could discuss options for storage that would be most efficient with my space. She told me it would cost $150/hr for that. I already paid $500 for her to basically hold trash bags for me to fill. I definitely feel like I did not get what I paid for. I was really disappointed. I would recommend finding someone on task rabbit, who is more affordable. I wish I had.

I've always leaned toward the messy, unorganized side of things in all parts of my life. I even used to joke that I had hoarding tendencies. During the pandemic, I moved into full-on hoarder mode. She made me feel so comfortable even on the phone and I believed that she could help me overcome a lifetime of keeping things! Amy and I have been working together regularly since then (with breaks during my busy tax times). Together, we've tackled the kitchen, the bedroom, my home office, the living room, my extra bedroom (which has now become my "she shack!"), the garage, and the exterior storage cabinets. Once we emptied the garage, I then emptied the off-site storage (10'x20') back into my garage. Today, JunkMD hauled away the last of the mess and my car can finally live in my garage after 17 years!!
