I even asked my point of contact about this exact issue and she assured me this wouldn't happen, but it did! As a busy mom with a young toddler, this is extremely disappointing given that I needed to arrange childcare for my appointment. I requested a refund on my package and wasn't even able to speak to a manager about the situation; they said they'd send an email to someone but there was no guarantee. So disappointing! Update: They still have not replied to me at all for weeks, or since they left a response on this review. Basically they took my money and vanished.

This was my first, and last, visit to Westside Dermatology. I had taken my daughter to be seen here…read moreabout 10 years ago and had a good experience. My experience was not. Dr Ramsey Markus was dismissive, brusque, condescending and rushed. I had provided a list of my concerns at the time I booked my appointment, and was prepared to ask all my skin questions and concerns during the visit. Dr Markus dismissed several things I asked him about during exam, including something another doc had told me about a dermatofibroma. His general tone was condescending as if I, without a MD after my name, wouldn't know anything about skin conditions. During my skin check, Dr Markus identified a potential skin cancer and reluctantly performed a biopsy at the time of my visit, per my request - stating his schedule was busy. I understood this, as I booked my appointment in January for first available at the end of April. "Pertinent negatives" section of my visit notes inaccurately stated I had no previous history of skin cancer. I had disclosed when booking my appointment that I had a history of squamous cell skin cancer in 2014. Dr Markus did not specifically offer treatment options for skin tags or milia, as stated in his visit notes. When I asked him about the milia around my eyes, he told me, "some people make milia." Across the board, the visit notes in my file did not reflect what he actually counseled me on, indicating he used canned notes but did not actually verbalize them to me. When I asked about options to treat readiness on the face, Dr Markus gave me a flyer with cosmetic laser treatment options, upon which he circled the options he recommended. He told me there was a shampoo I could use to treat Tinea at home, but didn't provide the name of the product - I had to ask the front desk to get it from the medical assistant as I was checking out. I picked up a brochure on Tinea and Mohs from the treatment room; Dr Markus did not offer them. Appears this dermatologist is quick to offer treatment options that bring in money (cosmetic), but not as quick to share home treatment options or minor procedures (skin tag removal, milia extraction). Biopsy results I viewed in the patient portal were dated 4/29 (4/24 visit). Dr called me on 5/5 (4 business days later) with a positive result of basal cell cancer. He referred me to a Mohs surgery center for treatment. Dr Markus coached me on screening calls when I picked up on his second call. I will not be returning for any elective cosmetic procedures or further skin checks.

At the…read more22nd session, the nurse told me I might as well let them fade on their own. 18 months have passed since my last treatment, and the tattoos have faded to the point where they are barely detectable - I'd say 95% gone. The two tattoos I had removed were on either ankle - apparently ankles take longer because they are so far away from the heart, and the blood has to travel further to remove the ink (don't quote me on that). I'm very happy with the final result. ANOTHER UPDATE (10/26/11): I've been in for 20 treatments and the tattoos are about 70% faded. Keep this in mind when deciding on what type of payment plan you're going with. The folks at Blink originally quoted me 10 treatments to remove the tattoos, and it's taken twice that long (and they're not gone). I am SO GLAD I went with the "12 payments and we'll treat you 'til they're gone" plan, or else I would have paid over $5,000 by now. The staff at Blink continues to be awesome. Would still highly recommend, just know that it's impossible to tell at an initial consultation how many treatments you'll need. UPDATE (12/27/10): I've now been in for 14 treatments. Tattoos are coming off slower than expected, but are fading gradually. I would highly advise going with the payment plan option (where you pay "x" number of payments up to a set amount, regardless of how many treatments it takes) or else paying the total up front as opposed to pay-as-you-go because there is just no way to determine how your skin will react to the laser and how long it will take. The staff at Blink is still wonderful as always. I've been in for 5 treatments. Agree with the previous poster, hurts like a SOB every single time, but Joanie is great, my appointment times are accurate, and I'm in and out in about 15 minutes. Plus, they offer 3 different payment plans to choose from. I've had great experiences here so far.

It might sound small, but when you already feel vulnerable, something like that can hit your confidence hard. I was embarrassed and tried to hide it every day with my girlfriend's eyebrow makeup. After a while, I started to lose hope that it would ever grow back. My girlfriend suggested microblading, and that's how I found Amy. I came across her on Yelp and booked an appointment, but I was honestly nervous going in. From the moment I sat in her studio, Amy made everything feel simple and comfortable. She explained the process clearly, she was gentle, and she's just really, really good at what she does. When she finished, I looked in the mirror and felt relief for the first time in a long time. My eyebrow looked natural and full again. I didn't have to hide anymore. That small change gave me a boost of confidence I really needed while I was rebuilding my life. Now, over 2 years later, my real eyebrow hair has grown back, and I'm in a much healthier and happier place. But I still think about how important that appointment was for me. Dominique really knows her stuff. She is so kind, knowledgable, and patient! I was skeptical about Botox as I had it a few times by Dr Reichel (dermatologist) and was told it just didn't work on me. So I shared this with Dominique, who gently encouraged me to re-consider. I am so glad I did!! Dominique proved my years of beliefs to be wrong. Also, I had 3 wretched lines between my brows from frowning most of my life. I was teased about this when I was only 17yrs old because they were already so deep by that time. Imagine another 35'ish years .. Those suckers looked like craters to me. Dr Reichel (aforementioned dermatologist) said they couldn't be filled without leaving lumps, like Braille, which would protrude out from my skin. I told Dominique this, and again she gently encouraged me to re-consider. I splurged for the long-lasting filler and am so glad I did. OMG-worth every penny! Finally after looking in the mirror ALL THESE YEARS, my craters are gone, like she took an eraser and just dusted them away. Dominique is a real artist. I also had filler under my eyes and it looks Terrific now. I love my 'before' and 'after' photos sooo much!! This place is the real deal. They are down to Earth, kind, friendly, and informed. Dominique does an outstanding job of educating her patients. I disagree with all of the negative reviews..... Except that the receptionist does pop her head in to tell Dominique when her next patient has arrived. Maybe they could use a bell or chime system instead. Honestly, that is such a tiny drop in the bucket it doesn't even affect my five star review (for what it's worth: I am in healthcare too, and I never ever give 5-star reviews) Dominique and her staff are all very welcoming and overall nice people to be around. It was easy for my two young kids to eat their lunch in the corner and watch a movie on my iPad while I got my injections. Nobody even blinked. In conclusion, this is the best place to go. Dominique is simply the best! I first tried Well Medical Arts because of LivingSocial voucher I bought for botox. I typically only buy deals for these procedures, but she is by far the best I've seen and I'm actually scheduled to go back to her (at full price). It is worth it! She puts you at ease by getting to know you and actually having you evaluate your face by looking in a mirror and starting from the top of your face, going down. She covers all of the options for things you don't particularly like about your face and you can tell she truly wants the best results for you! Having used several daily deals for this, I can tell you that most places try and up-sell you because you bought a deal. Not Dominique! I actually assumed I would have to buy additional units, but she advised that the 20 I had purchased was plenty for my desired results (which I was very happy with). I'm really surprised that no one who has posted a review took the time to look up Ms. Well's license before they agreed to have her inject chemicals into their faces. She was a "second chance nurse" long before she was a nurse practitioner. Since becoming a nurse practitioner, she has been disciplined by the Medical Licensing Board and had criminal drug charges in the Washington State criminal courts. Further, she refused to meet her commitments to the licensing board as required and was further disciplined. Her license has restrictions. She's lucky to have any medical license at all. Before anyone visits any medical treatment provider, it's really wise to check out their license. I was really on the fence about doing tattoo removal after seeing my cousin go through the process this year, and the amount of pain and blistering she had. After the consultation I still had to consider the procedure. Dominique was super cool about it, and not pushy. I decided to come back later that day, and I'm very glad I did. I can't believe how much clearing I got from the first session, and I cant wait to go back for more. Kaylee is awesome, she kept me entertained while doing an awesome job. It wasn't nearly as painful as I expected, and I was able to go about my life as normal right away. If you can endure getting a tattoo the removal is not nearly as bad, and much quicker. Dominique is clearly passionate about her art and knowledge, and makes every effort for the client to be well informed and comfortable, and she has a real talent for engaging with you, as the client. Waited 5(FIVE) years to have enough courage to do a permanent filler,Bellafill did my homework experience/pricing etc. Made appointment with Dominique, they got me in immediately, very accommodating, knowledgeable felt very comfortable right away. Dominique achieved the results I wanted in just a few peels and at a fraction of the cost of what I had been spending on lasers. I wish I had found her earlier. I grew up on the beach and had major age/skin discoloration that Dominique has successfully diminished/nearly erased. Now that I found her, I won't go anywhere else. About three weeks ago I had, what should have been a minimally invasive procedure, done at this location. Since then I've experienced ongoing complications that have not been properly addressed, nor fall under categorically minimal side effects that may result from the procedure, if it is done correctly. Despite reaching out multiple times, I have not been given a clear treatment plan or consistent follow-up care but instead I've received delayed responses or made to feel that it's a personal issue rather than a result of improper care. My condition has only worsened over time, and I've been left to manage this largely on my own. From the beginning, there were inconsistencies in communication. I was sold a package but later told I had misunderstood what was included in the package. I was also told that I would be sent home with aftercare products, which I understood to be part of the service, but were later presented as additional add-on products to purchase for necessary aftercare. I was given the run around from the time of purchase, until now that I have made several attempts to resolve this not only amicably but primarily to get my skin heath back. I was made to feel that this was an isolate issue because of my own skin but have since consulted with other RNs and licensed aestheticians to better understand what actually happened. Based on what I shared with them & their assessment of the aftermath, they expressed concern about how the procedure was performed, including the intensity, level of aggressiveness and the lack of proper skin assessment or testing beforehand by the aesthetician as there are different classes that the procedure fall under, some of which do not comply with certain skin types. I have tried to be patient, reasonable & more than fair in giving the business an opportunity to address this, but the responses thus far have been dismissive, unprofessional and lackluster given the severity of the situation & how it has damaged my skin & impacted my overall conscious throughout my day to day activities. This experience has had a significant impact on me, physically, emotionally, and professionally, and not something I take lightly. I had previously referred several friends here, which makes having to write this, even more disappointing. At this point, I do not feel comfortable continuing treatment with this provider as they have shown their lack of care & professionalism from start to finish. I am currently exploring further options to address the situation & hope that the business takes it seriously in working towards an actual resolution, prior to me taking further action to do so.

I waited weeks for this appointment and received this message as I was walking in from the parking lot 3 min late. I have previously waited 20 min when they were delayed and had no issue w it. Another time I was 7 min late (traffic) but paid for my session anyway. I do understand that a business needs to keep customer bookings on time but the experience of being cancelled 3 min in was beyond extreme, that could be the difference between 2 people's watch's. You need to set expectations of how early you want clients to show up and wait so that they will not be considered late and cancelled.
