Now that the Crossfit craze is waning maybe you should try a more realistic exercising program…read more I have been attending this gym for nine years after having been a member of both the ProClub and the Bellevue Club and it's done wonders for me. I do the Power the Active and the Spin classes, in a way a blended kind of Crossfit but one that normal people like me can enjoy being part of. No one walks around in the latest spandex and there are no 'muscle heads'. This is interesting entertaining and refreshing exercise that anyone can do and do it up to any level they choose. I heartedly endorse this gym, its programs are designed by doctors and trainers and based on reality not on fantasy. It's also costs a fraction of the other two clubs i mentioned which were both a waste of a lot of my money. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

I've been going to BodySchock Fitness for about 8 months. After trying several other gyms,…read moreincluding CrossFit, this is the place for me. The instructors are fun, energetic and want to help you. The members are friendly & easy going and are there for one reason - to get in better shape. Alison the owner offers more advanced classes like bootcamp and tabata training, but she's glad to show you how make the moves more do-able so you can get started. When I first started, if I missed a class she'd send me a text - hey, we missed you today, what's up? It was motivation, but not pressure. If you want a fun place to get sweaty, at your level, come join us! The members will welcome you, the instructors will help you (if you need it) and like Alison says, you get to leave feeling grateful about what your body can do.

I recently attended a queer/lesbian sparring event at Cappy's, and it was the perfect introduction…read moreto the gym. The space is completely unpretentious and has a great, "scrappy" energy that makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. Coach Alex is incredibly knowledgeable--I spent half the time just watching her movement, which is so fluid and smooth. It's rare to find a spot that balances great technique with such an inclusive, easygoing environment. It was so easy to make new friends, and I'll definitely be back for more beginner sparring sessions with other queer women. Thanks for holding events like this! Pro Tip: Bring a mouthguard and 16oz gloves for sparring (and headgear if you have it!).

My experience at Cappy's was humiliating. Alex, the owner, had an issue with another boxer because…read moreshe believed he was homophobic. Because I trained with him, she apparently told people at the gym that I was also homophobic and disrespectful. When I arrived, people were giving me dirty looks. Alex confronted me and accused me of talking badly about Cappy's on Facebook. When I asked for proof, her screenshots only showed the other boxer tagging me in posts. She then admitted that I had not said anything. Instead of apologizing and correcting the misinformation, she allowed everyone to continue treating me with hostility. I even felt pressured to disclose that I have a transgender girlfriend just to prove I was not homophobic. I should never have needed to reveal personal information to defend myself against something I did not do. I came to train, not to be publicly judged and humiliated based on someone else's opinions. In my experience, this was handled unprofessionally and without accountability.

I didn't…read moreget the vibe of "join us our gym and give us your money," but rather, "you are welcome here anytime to grow in skill." There were some solid guys here to train with, and I was grateful for that having visited many other gyms where there is not much of a variety of people to grow with.

Horrible customer service experience with the staff. I am extremely disappointed with my experience…read moreat T3MA and found the way this situation was handled to be highly unprofessional. I joined specifically because I was told there were ladies-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. As a complete beginner, I was only comfortable training in a women-only environment, and that was the primary reason I chose this gym. I spent nearly $500 on a punch card and required training gear based on that understanding. When I signed up, Luke specifically told me that the punch card would not expire. Months later, I was informed that it actually had a six-month expiration policy. More importantly, the ladies-only classes that were the entire reason I enrolled were eventually removed from the schedule altogether. When I raised concerns, the solution offered was for me to attend regular mixed-gender classes. That completely missed the point. I had been clear from the beginning that I was not comfortable training with men and would not have signed up otherwise. I attempted to find a reasonable resolution and even suggested alternatives, including one-on-one instruction. Instead, my refund request was denied despite the fact that the specific program I signed up for no longer exists. What I found most disappointing was the lack of professionalism and accountability. After spending hundreds of dollars and making multiple efforts to resolve the matter respectfully, I was left with services I cannot use, no meaningful solution, and ultimately no response to my follow-up email. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend T3MA.
