I recently had a 10 stay at this facility. While there were many negative experiences the positive experiences out number the bad! Negative- *it was far from filthy but I will say the patient's shower definitely need to be cleaned way more frequently as well as the toilets. I will say if you voice your concerns to the upper management or ask for a grievance form, things get taken care of. The night shift excluding Mai, Andy, and a very kind young lady that I only remember her name starts with a T, are absolutely horrible! They treat you like you are in jail. The night tech Dominick absolutely has no business working with patients! She is rude, dismissive, and very disrespectful! This happened many different times! *your location and well being is checked either every 5 or 15 minutes. While this is not actually a bad thing except when the night tech is checking on you, it wasn't uncommon to be awakened with usually a male standing over you and this made me feel uncomfortable BIG TIME! I yelled out one night because I was startled awake, and his response was "don't talk to me like that, I'm not your slave! This needs to be addressed! *I myself had a breakdown, and literally was dismissed by the night shift! Andy, who is one of the night techs, as well as the other tech (I will call her "T" as I can't remember her name) came to me! Those two I feel like listened and after a few minutes I was okay. It was horrible the way they treated me! *too many different types of patients together! I will say they do the best they can for this problem. NOW THE GOOD STUFF ! *Mai Dang-the most patient, empathic, and without a doubt the nicest person I have ever met! He needs to train all the other night nurses! *Ali-if even a few more techs had her attitude and kindness and personality, it would probably be a much happier/cleaner environment! She absolutely needs and deserves to be a trainer for the other techs! Her as well as Becky! Becky-she's an awesome person! She makes sure rules are followed but she makes the day with her sweetness and is very kind and empathetic! Do not send anyone you love to this facility. My son entered of his own will for depression. As soon as he entered the transport car he was told he had to stay 72 hours which ended up being 5 days. They gave him so many drugs he doesn't even remember the first 2 days. He tried refusing the drugs and a nurse named Edele told him if he didn't take them she'd make sure he stayed longer. Another nurse told him just do what your told if you want to get out of here. They are locked out of their rooms all day. There is one single phone so good luck trying to reach them. They are bribed with "if your good you'll get a cigarette on break" His roommate which was an angry released prisoner was told he wasn't good. He proceeds to go in a rage and bust the walls. Their solution was to send him to the room he shared with my son. He busted those walls. This again is my sons roommate!!! Thankfully after this they moved my son to another room where he had his own room. My son drinks alot of water. One day he asked for a cup for water. They asked where is your cup from the day before? He didn't have it so they told him to use his hands. His psychiatrist came in and he asked for a cup. The psychiatrist said he'd tell the nurse. He never got a cup that day. He witnessed a man completely overdosed vomiting profusely. He would tell me certain instances and I would ask what employee was it. They wear their names badges backwards so he could never say. The day we picked him up every single employee I saw had their name badge backwards including the front receptionist! We drove 4 hours to see him only to be told you can only visit on Thursday by the lady at the front desk. After he was released we learned from the handbook that was an absolute lie. I could write pages on this place. It was a terribly traumatic experience. The lawyer had to get him out of that nightmare. Do not ever ever use this awful place. read more

*DO NOT SEND PEOPLE YOU LOVE HERE!!!! THEIR LIVES WILL BE AT RISK!!!!!* I went here in 2021, I had just turned 18 and this was against my will. I went to the emergency room because my anxiety was so bad that I needed help. The nurses at the emergency room gave me a mental health evaluation and once they found out that I was suicidal. I was told that I could either of my own free will go to a mental hospital For Help or they would call the police and they would take me anyways. Once I arrived at Wellbridge, I was asked by a doctor for my written consent for medication's to help me with my mental illness, or so I was told. These are all of the medications they put me on in 2 and 1/2 days. These days were a blur, I remember the environment being scary, people hurting themselves, and being told that I would only get outside time if I was smoking cigarettes. I remember the nurses using cigarettes as incentives to go outside. I thought I was being treated and helped by these people. But a couple of days later I could see that it wasn't what they portrayed. I wanted to leave this place. It was so scary. They told me I wasn't able to check myself out and the only time we could get visitation was on thursdays. A couple of days later the nurses woke me up from a nap to take vitals and my heart rate was so high I was at risk for a heart attack. I was asking for visitation and was told that I could only receive visitors on Thursday's, which I found out later isn't true. I was rushed to the hospital and treated and the hospital asked me how my stay was and I told them horrible. They ask me if I knew how many medications I was on and if I wanted to see how many medications. My father and I were shocked to see pages of medications and drugs that I was given in just 2 1/2 days. I went for my mental health, and this is what almost killed me. read more

If you are disabled, in a wheelchair or powerless in any kind of way do not go here, there was a lady in a wheelchair while I was there who fell out of her chair in the day room bathroom because she was unsupervised ( she had someone with her 24/7, not sure why ) but, not with her when she fell and they refused to get her medical attention. When she tried to use the day room phone call out for help, 911 they turned off the phones and did not allow her to get the help she felt she needed. Everyone is there just trying to get through the 5/7/10 days and get out but trapped behind locked doors totally dependent on the integrity of the staff. What I saw was shocking! Oct 7th-13th 2025, staff should be questioned about this time frame and this incident!! Technicians are rude just because they can be and treatment is not fair based on race. You may be assaulted by another patient while in the clinic the police will not be called unless you're of the right mind to request that! Nothing wad done about being beaten by another patient. 2021: This facility is a nightmare. Admission is locking a mentally fragile person in a windowless room for hours with no access to a phone, strip-searched, and broken. There are no programs to assist those in crisis. Instead, they are locked out of their rooms all day and have no options for solace. They are lumped together in front of a TV. The elderly patients or those with stroke symptoms were not assisted with eating, dressing, bathing, or diaper changes. The public phones are not allowed after 9pm. The only activity all day while patients are locked out of their rooms is watching TV (at an ear-splitting volume). Smokers are allowed 2 breaks per day. Non-smokers have no access to fresh air or the outdoors. There was no education on CBT, DBT, coping skills, anger management, or ANY mental health tools. Dr. Maru Mathews was arrogant, condescending, and petty. Being held involuntarily with no access to actual mental health services was enough to make anyone angry, but even addressing concerns in a calm and professional manner was met with disdain. You have a play the submissive patient game or he will threaten to hold you there against your wishes. The social worker, Sarah Banis, did not return family members' calls, was unavailable to the patient, and impeded aftercare of IOP by never providing documentation for the patient to set it up themselves. Quote from Sarah *prior to meeting the patient* to their family members, "you cannot trust a word ____ says." The patient was left with severe therapist-induced trauma and took years of intensive therapy to recover from this house of horrors. The guards/zoo keepers treated patients like zoo animals. This place is a disservice to the mental health field and will scam every penny out of your insurance. Beware those with good insurance, you may find yourself in an extended stay. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: they cannot keep you locked up past 72 hours. Even after billing insurance for a criminal amount, patients are billed as well. Refusing to pay will result in a 100-point hit to your credit. The one and only saving grace was Fifi. She is a solid gem with a sweet tenderness. read more

I attended the outpatient program in 2019. I was wrongfully kicked out due to their own error with insurance. They kicked me out with zero plan for my mental health. I was called at home after a group session by the therapist and told not to come back. I became worse due to the sudden withdrawal from the therapy. I was left to suddenly find a new psychiatrist and therapist. They do not care about their patient's wellbeing - only profit. Since then, I've asked many times for a refund ($1443.68) by phone and email (due to how I was treated) and have been ignored. I filed a complaint with the state in an attempt to help others not be treated like I was. Please do not go here, Wellbridge will make you worse and take your money. read more

Worst facility I've ever been in. Please if you have older family members do not let them be admitted here. This place is outwardly abusing elderly and neglecting their basic needs. I was admitted to this hospital for 10 days and saw that they would NOT HELP those who needed assistance with eating, showering, or the bathroom. Days I saw elderly people with Alzheimer's and dementia not showering, not being taken to the bathroom their diapers being left on for days, and they never noticed or cared that one older man named jack could not even open his tray for himself and was being fed by the patients who were also trying to get help themselves. I was a patient and I experienced some negative employees. Some of the nurses were very good and some were very terrible. when I got out I went to IOP therapy. There was a patient I got to know and when we got out we stayed in touch. She wanted to get into IOP and tried to reach Alyson the therapist and she went over four days to reach her. During those four days I also reached out to Alyson to get in touch with my friend and Alyson never responded back to me. Granted Alyson was my therapist at the time which I decided to cancel my therapy sessions with Alyson because she never reached out to me but she later did reached out to my friend. I cannot trust Alyson b escause she showed no empathy towards .s me or my friend. I also sent some clothes to a patient and friend named Bobby Genree and she said she never received her clothes. However Bobby told me she never got her clothes. The nurse argued with me and basically said I was a liar. I do not deserve such disrespect from a nurse that professes to be a professional. This was the most horrible experience in my life. The only reason I have put one star is because I am required to put a star in order to post this review otherwise I would put zero stars here. If this is what inpatient mental health looks like, i will never seek inpatient mental health ever again. Please do not take anyone you know to this place. My experience here was simply traumatic. First off most of the employees are rude as hell and will treat you like a lesser being because you are having mental health struggles. Dora the tech is rude as hell. Most of the employees have no client skills whatsoever and will lash back at you real quick even when you ask a simple question. They get you up for breakfast at about 8 am and will not let you back into your rooms for at least 5 hours while you sit on hard seats doing nothing . They have 1 or at the most 2 , 1 hour groups a day and the rest of the day feels like you are literally sitting there doing absolutely nothing looking at each other and mental patients loosing it and fighting each other for this 5 hour period sitting in this one area . Whoever initiates the fight will probably get tranquilized like an animal . No one ever has a straight answer to your question and will defer your questions to someone else who you may not be able to find. It's looks like it's a holding tank for people suffering from mental health issues with no therapeutic value whatsoever. There is no one on one therapy sessions. The food is horrible and always served cold. I literally had to just eat some of it just to survive hunger. The way I saw them treat this one lady who had come to get help was so sad. The lady had come in after having a stroke due to alcohol addiction, and she said they had promised her they would take her to rehab. When she started complaining, instead of getting like a case worker to take her to an office and explaining what the process looked like to get her to rehab, she was pinned down by a whole bunch of employees and they used some kind of tranquilizer on her to put her to sleep . It was like they were tranquilizing an animal. It was so sad hearing her yelling" HELP, HELP, HELP!!! That will stick with me for the rest of my life. Now some of the employees actually tried to be nice working in this hell operating like place. Techs: DeAndre and Naz were very professional and always tried to be calm and helpful at all times. The Case worker Naheen and the Client advocate Shaques actually tried to be helpful whenever they could. They also have a poster that gives you a number for the commission that oversees this kind of institutions in the state of Texas But when you try to call the number from their phone, it's blocked and you can't call out from their phone lines to that number to file a complaint. They ensure that you cannot call the commission that oversees this kind of businesses in the state of texas from their phone lines. It looks like they are required to post the number, but they will not let you call it from their phone lines. From what I witnessed the commission that oversees this kind of institutions needs to investigate this place and probably have it shutdown. My relative was admitted for psych treatment from the ER, a mandatory 72 hour hold. We were called the day she was admitted to Wellbridge, but have not heard from any staff member since, even after multiple calls to speak with the doctor, nurse, social worker, and lawyer. This is ridiculous that we cannot find out about her care and/or plan of care. It has has been 5 days now, with calls being made everyday and no return call. I would advise to look at other facilities for yourself, friend or loved one that are in need of mental health treatment. read more

February, 2020 my 99 year old grandmother arrived at this place fully dressed, with puff coat and two newly purchased outfits. On her discharge day they wheeled her out in a hospital gown and yellow hospital socks. ALL of her clothes and her shoes came up missing. Kimberly Hancock told me she would handle the situation. She told me that if she couldn't find the items she would reimburse me for the items. Of course she lied to my face and ignored my phone calls. You should be ashamed of yourself! I was told that I would meet with her Psychiatrist and Therapist. I was also told I would be given the opportunity to ask questions about her meds and aftercare, NONE of this happened.
