Had our Lola Mae, our boxer spayed at Wellington Veterinary Clinic (We were referred by a friend who had their boxer also spayed here). What wonderful veterinarians, they made us feel very at easy when bringing her in. They treated our baby so well and made sure she was pain free. I loved the pain meds they gave us, Lola chews them up without a fight of trying to get her to swallow them. Staff was outstanding. They are now our new veterinary clinic. read more

This was our dogs first stay at Wellington Veterinary Clinic, and overall, we are glad that our dogs were cared for. However, our experience was overshadowed by a disappointing issue regarding billing transparency. We were not informed ahead of time about the after-hours pickip charge being applied per animal, which came as an unexpected surprise. While one of the receptionists did offer to let me speak with the office manager, the interaction that followed was frustrating. When I explained that the issue stemmed from a lack of clear communication about the additional charges, I was repeatedly told it was a misunderstanding on my part. Unfortunately, the tone felt condescending rather than supportive, which led to more frustration. Clear and upfront communication is essential, especially when it comes to pricing. Due to this experience, we will not be boarding our dogs here again. read more

I am so grateful for Dr. Orozco and Brianna for coming to our rescue. We had a first time mama Nigerian goat with a prolapsed uterus. We had never used a vet before for our goats. They came out promptly and were able to help our Jill. I would never hesitate to call them again. They were so kind, helpful and understanding. read more

Wonderful place to board your pets. It is very comforting to board your pet at a place where they have a vet onsite. I know that if anything goes wrong while I am away, my pet will be taken care of. The boarding staff are kind and love my dog. They have a range of boarding options, all the way from a standard kennel to private rooms with in and out doors and a camera so you can watch your pet while you're away. read more

We've been going to this vet for years. And they've always taken good care of our dogs and cats. However, my son has pet rats and they can't be bothered to even put them to sleep over the last few years. Recently my dog fell ill and I called to make an appointment. I got a recorded message saying they have 'staffing issues' and if I needed help deciding if my pet needed emergency care I should leave a message and I would receive a call back 'as soon as possible'. It's been 2 weeks, my dog is dead and burried and I NEVER received a call. I ended up going to an emergency clinic that day because I knew he needed immediate care. But it would have been much nicer to have the vet return a call to an established patient who needed care for their pet. I understand that they were bought out by a corporate company and it seems to be destroying a practice that's been part of the community for decades. Nice job. read more

Unfortunately my review does not deserve even one star. While I trusted in this vet in 2023 for an ACL surgery, I would now not recommend for nothing ! Zero compassion , zero responses to request for call back to ask some questions. Just an email response saying they don't wish to speak to me. 4 visits , $2000 plus in bills , medicine and pain medicine for what ?! My own research was done and discovered probably cancer ! Had it been discovered earlier possible my beloved pet could have survived. Instead medicine was given and i was sent away. Now , no call backs , no questions answered. Truly just a business , your heartache means nothing to them. Pay the bill and expect nothing more from them . Huge loss for my family , especially for me and what does Wellington vet say - NOTHING. They "don't wish to speak to me . " I will never recommend. read more

3 STRIKES-THEY'RE OUT!! 1st strike- I called Wellington Vet to ask a question, which was, Is there a blood test that can be given to a horse to rule out Tetanus? After informing them that my horse was on penicillin and under the care of a different vet that wasn't equip to do blood tests, I just needed to know if there was such a test. The lady said she would send out a vet. He gets there and does an evaluation on my horse, tells me she is sick and charges me 155.00 and btw there isn't such a blood test that can tell me that!! They could of told me that over the phone and I wouldn't of had them come out. I didn't need an evaluation, I already knew she was sick. 2nd strike- My horse passes away a week later but I needed to know why. I call them to ask if they would call Ohio State University and refer me so I could get a Necropsy (Autopsy for horses) done. They tell me that they don't need to call, I just need to load my horse on a trailer and go there. It's 2.5 hours away and I most definitely needed a Vet to call and refer us there. I had to get my horses' dentist to call them. 3rd strike- I get a bill from Wellington Vet for 550.00, due immediately, for the Necropsy, that wasn't even performed there. So I call to explain I paid the Pathologist in cash when I dropped my horse off. The head secretary basically called me a liar and told me that they would take me to small claims court!! When I suggested she call and verify that I paid, she said, "Absolutely Not" she would not call them! Isn't that what secretaries do? Make phone calls?? Later I get a text saying she did make that phone call and yes it's verified I did pay. I will NEVER deal with this business again. I DO NOT recommend them for they are truly CLUELESS and UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

I starts using this vet clinic several years ago when I worked in Wellington. They have treated 3 dogs of mine since then. Two of them have been put down by these vets. They were kind and considerate. Gave me a private room with couch and chairs to say goodbye to them and a side door to exit so I didn't have to walk through the lobby crying. I no longer work in Wellington and I tried to find another vet closer to Medina but they nearly killed my dog with injections that he was having a reaction to. I took him back to Wellington and he is slowly getting better. They are a bit of a drive and sometimes a little more money but the knowledge and quality of care is worth it. The absolute best, extremely caring and compassionate Vets and Staff there is. We been taking pets to them since 2000. When anothe Vet almost killed my 18 month old Shar Pei. Dr Jen is absolutely the best. She genuinely cares. The other Vets at Wellington are equally as amazing. read more

A week ago, Tuesday August 31st 2021 around 8:00am, we dropped our dog off for knee surgery. We expected a call around 3:00pm letting us know how she was doing. What we didn't expect was a call saying that they lost our dog!! When I say they "lost our dog" I mean she somehow ESCAPED from the Clinic!! She was truly lost!! HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN??? We live on the west side of Cleveland. It took us 35 minutes to get to the Clinic. When we arrived NO ONE from the clinic was even out looking for her!! We were told that when they opened her cage to get her prepped for surgery that is when she got loose. My husband and I looked for her for about an hour before we received a call telling us to come back to the clinic that someone brought her back. Thankfully we have her home with us today. We truly believed when we arrived at the clinic that we would never see her again! I still do not understand how she was able to get out of a facility that is set up to solely take care of animals. (The scary thing is, the doctor told my husband that this is NOT the 1st time this has happened!!) I can understand how she was frightened by just being there and she is definitely not used to being in a cage, so when the cage door was opened, it doesn't surprise me that she tried to run. But that doesn't explain how she could get outside the building!!! She has never opened a door by herself at home or anywhere else we have taken her. Another thing that bothered me was we received the call that she was missing at 2:45pm, we later found out that she had been missing since 1:30pm. Why were we not called IMMEDIATELY?!? There are still so many unanswered questions. We are not sure who found her or where she was, by the time we returned to the clinic whoever brought her back was gone. If you happen to read this, THANK YOU! She is everything to us and we don't even want to think about what we would have done if she was lost to us forever!! My last comment regarding what I feel is lack of professionalism on the part of the doctor and the clinic is that NO ONE has even bothered to call us to check to see if she is OK!! Obviously, she came home without having her surgery. We are now looking for a new vet that we can trust to take care of her as good as or better than we do! And we hope that the clinic is seriously looking into securing their facility including each room that an animal may be in so that no family has to go through this traumatic heartbreaking experience ever again. read more

I took my Dads dog in to have him euthanized after he was kicked in the head by a horse. I was upset about it as anyone would be.The front office staff was just annoying in asking me if he was vaccinated, what breed, and if he were neutered etc. just to fill out some computerized form. I worked for a vet and we would have never asked stupid questions of someone who was humanely putting a pet to sleep. The next incident was when I had a horse with a foot abcess and hobbling on three legs. I did not have a hoof knife so when the vet was out for another issue I asked him to check this horse. He asked me what foot it was. Seriously, the horse was holding the painful foot off the ground that's how obvious it was. I told him to forget it and called the blacksmith. The final straw was the $800 bill I received that included $100 for sedating a baby colt to get a blood sample. In conclusion, this veterinary service is underperforming in areas and WAY overpriced. I only used them because they were available quickly. You will pay through the nose for sure so get out your checkbook. read more
