Please avoid this location, though. My first visit years ago was unremarkable, but a recent visit in early August was a nightmare. First, the nurse checking me in insisted I could only be seen for one symptom, and her manner brought me to tears. I was experiencing about seven symptoms over 10 days. She was extremely rude, and then noted that my heart rate was high -- yes, because she was stressing me out with her unprofessional attitude. I've never encountered an urgent care that insists on treating only one symptom. I asked her to listen to all seven and then decide which was most urgent to document. It later turned out I was having an allergic reaction to an antibiotic -- I had noted a rash as one of my symptoms. I saw Dr. Hanser, who described my rash as looking like "sun exposure" but said he suspected an allergic reaction. He had me tested for viruses. He did not land on considering it an allergic reaction nor treat me for that. Later that day, the rash spread across my entire body, and I had to go to a different urgent care the next day to get steroids. The difference in quality of care I received at the Westminster MemorialCare location was like night and day. The nurse listened to my situation and noted that as cause of visit. The doctor showed true concern and empathy. Given how dismissive both the nurse and the doctor were here, in their own ways--please avoid this Bellflower location.

I've been seeing Dr. Archna Chaudhary for a while now and honestly have had a really great experience. I've been to each of the multiple locations, and all of them are clean and easy to get in and out of. The newer office by the Long Beach Traffic Circle is especially nice. Wait times are very reasonable, I'm typically seen within 5-10 minutes... and to be fair, half the time that's because I'm walking in right at the last minute. As for Dr. Chaudhary, she's been great. She actually listens, takes her time, and explains things in a way that makes sense. She has a good balance of being gentle but also straightforward, which I personally like. I've never felt rushed, and she's open to talking through different options instead of just immediately prescribing something. I've also seen a few of the nurse practitioners and they've all been pleasant. If you're on the fence because of reviews, I'd just say go see for yourself and form your own opinion. I've recommended her to friends and family and would continue to do so.

Things I didn't even consider. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and felt good mainly from my experience. Quality care was great as well as type of care. I was 9 weeks pregnant (miscalculated) and after her quick ultrasound, told me that I had an ectopic pregnancy that would require surgery, I was in her office for no more than 15 minutes and quickly rushed out to get a more in depth ultrasound elsewhere. This was my first pregnancy and was not anticipating this type of care. After that horrible interaction, I decided to give it another go with Dr. Hayes / Nurse Tiana they were amazing! Nurse Stacy that draws blood is also truly amazing. If only the front desk actually knew how to do their jobs, I would've stayed with Optum. I missed my appt , and was told they would call me back the following week to reschedule , they never called and I when I called on Wednesday it was like pulling teeth trying to get put on the schedule bc they never provided me availability and I was asking all the questions. There's 3 people out of the 40+ staff members that are actually qualified to work with the general public , I don't know how this location is still up and running.

With our main KP medical office in the Long Beach location (which is a lot larger), we seem to stop into the Signal Hill offices when we are in the area to do errands and need to get some preventive medicine done (or do a blood draw, which I would no longer recommend at this site....the phlebotomists tend to gossip with each other while doing their work, making it seem like what they are doing doesn't require their full attention...it caused quite a bit of bruising and pain). We had been reminded that the 2024 flu shots were available now, and that the Signal Hill office were running a walk-in clinic till November. We've found the surface parking to be the right size for the smaller facility, allowing one to find parking. It is a smaller facility, with everything one needs on the first floor. If you have an existing appointment, you can check in via kiosks or wait in a one line queue for the next available registrar. But before you hit the queue, there are signs stating that for the flu clinic, one can walk right into the community room (entrance to the room visible from the queue). It was a bit weird skipping the line and walking in, but we were assured we were doing the right thing. You put your name on a sign-in sheet on a clipboard (old school!), and then have a seat to fill out the consent form. The form did ask for our Kaiser Medical Record Number (MRN), which allowed the nurse to look up our record. After a few minutes, our name was called individually, and we were taken behind some dividers to get our shot. The set-up is identical to the flu clinics that many work places sponsor during flu season for their employees. Since we were here, we asked about the new Covid vaccine. The online system lets you make an appointment, with all nearby KP locations being a week or two out. But the nurse stated that since it wasn't so busy, we could get in line with the reception to make an immediate appointment, so that's what we did. It took a bit longer (the receptionist had to do some magic on her end since the system was telling her the next appointment was a week out), but after we got our appointment changed to immediate, we were able to go back into the community room. We filled out a different consent form, waited a little bit, and had the same nurse administer the vaccine. The whole process took under an hour. Kaiser Signal Hill does a nice job of optimizing the pre-appointment process, actually making you feel that everyone's time is important.

Predatory practices! BEWARE!…read more I am hyper-vigilant about medical companies asking for more information from patients than needed especially since they always have breeches. (By the way, I have worked in the healthcare industry for the past 24 years). Well I just went in on a Sunday morning and for a minor issue and filled out all of their information online (I've been to this location before with no issues) and everything was fine until the receptionist asked me for my credit card information to "keep on file". Listen: I have full health insurance and I'm NOT leaving a credit card on file with all the healthcare fraud! She claimed it was because it's on a "Sunday and their system doesn't work on Sunday". What about people in the community that don't have credit cards, but have health insurance? I told them I'm happy to pay my out of pocket as normal but they said they must have a credit card and handed me a slip of paper with their policy. I left without service. I will definitely be placing a formal complaint. And yes, I have many credit cards but I'll be damned if I leave one "on file" when I have medical insurance. By the way - I went to ContinuEM Urgent care on Palo Verde and South and got excellent service! No credit card needed and the doctor was super professional and thorough. It was an actual blessing that Excer didn't work out.
