Went in for drug test and physical. Was not expecting such a fast and great visit. Both Prussia and Salem were very nice and helpful.

Julieta was so sweet and offered to draw my blood while I was lying on a bed after I mentioned that I sometimes get dizzy after blood draws. I didn't end up choosing that option, but I thought it was very kind of her to offer. I plan to return to this location for my future needs.

I've been to Quest Diagnostics multiple times, and I want to start by saying that this facility is…read moreconsistently clean, and most of the phlebotomists I've encountered have been kind, professional, and efficient. That's why this review is so disappointing to write. On April 15th, I had a very negative experience with a phlebotomist named Michelle. From the moment I sat down, she was cold and dismissive--no greeting, no basic courtesy. Her tone throughout the appointment felt rude and unnecessarily aggressive. Instead of communicating calmly, she gave abrupt commands like "scoot up... no, more," without any professionalism or kindness. The actual blood draw was worse. On the first attempt, she missed my vein and tried to redirect the needle twice. During the second redirection, I felt a sharp pain and said "ouch," to which she responded by rolling her eyes before removing the needle. I ended up apologizing--despite being the one in pain--because of how uncomfortable the interaction felt. She never apologized. She then attempted the draw on my other arm, applying the tourniquet far too tightly and choosing the basilic vein. As soon as she accessed the vein, it began to blow. Despite this, she continued the draw and collected four tubes while I started losing sensation in my arm and hand. For context, I am a phlebotomist with 10 years of experience, so I am very familiar with proper technique and patient safety. I regret not advocating for myself in that moment, because the situation was not handled appropriately. Unsurprisingly, I developed a hematoma almost immediately in a very sensitive area. She provided minimal bandaging--it didn't even stay on--and gave no aftercare instructions. I had to manage everything myself at home, including icing and proper care. I have already reported this experience directly to Quest Diagnostics through the appropriate channels. I was told that a supervisor would address the situation and that this employee would be shadowed for retraining. While I appreciate that this is being handled internally, I am sharing this publicly so others are aware and can make informed decisions--personally, I would recommend avoiding this phlebotomist at all costs, if possible. This was one of the worst experiences I've had getting blood drawn, and it stands in stark contrast to the otherwise positive experiences I've had at this location. *I'm including pictures, including the bruising right after the draw and how it looks 24 hours later

X rays on the premises. I was rear ended in a car accident. I was rocked. My back, neck and right shoulder were jacked up. I went to a hospital ER in the area and it was slammed. So I went on our good ol' Yelp and found this wonderful urgent care. Everything about this experience - the first phone call with Gabrielle, her care, concern and professionalism; her being on the ball and so efficient( btw she is a US Navy Veteran)- this set the tone for a great and calming visit. Dr Cho was incredible. Very personable, cool, related to me and was just so very thorough as he covered every possible avenue and took his time treating me, testing my reflexes and my areas of concern. He was very thorough. He showed me and detailed all of my x rays. The office was immaculate. Clean and very well organized. There were complimentary mini water bottles and some snacks for the patients. Great medical establishment.

I had explained to the doctor that my back had been injured for over 2 weeks so he prescribed 5mg of Flexeril for 10 days. After taking this and staying away from the gym for 6 days, there was ZERO improvement. The medicine wasn't doing a thing for me. So i called them to see if they could switch up my muscle relaxant and they said I'd have to come in again. WHAT! I was literally just there for the same exact problem and you want me to return?!? They just want another reason to bill my insurance, as if my first copay wasn't high enough. My advice- if you can wait for your primary doc- WAIT! OR find an urgent care where they really want to help and not just collect on insurance.

I…read morehad a set appointment at 11, arrived around 10:15, checked in, and was served right around 11. I did not experience any rude ladies there at the front desk. In fact, the gentleman at the front desk helped me with an issue and was actually nice to all others who went to ask for assistance. He was even pretty patient with non-English speaking people. The nurses do cycle to the front desk, but they go only to call the next person. What I did see were a few people (about 3-4 in the 45 mins that I was in the waiting room) coming in right at their appointment times expecting to be served immediately, without checking in. It's not accurate if you don't know the process. Let's be real, an appointment gets a planned time, but if they are early/late a bit, that's expected as these offices get LOTS of people who need lab work. A walk-in without an appointment at 10:15 had an estimated service time of 2:30 pm. Better to make an appointment. The nurse that took my blood was nice and professional! Visit this place for your lab work, just don't expect to be treated like you're at a 5-star resort and you'll be fine!

I witnessed patients being rude to each other, and patients being rude to the employees regarding the long wait times. It felt very uncomfortable to witness while sitting in the waiting room. Also, I waited for over two hours here, and then they turned me away because they said they are too full for today. Then, they told me to show up at 7 am tomorrow to get in line for them to open at 8 am. They did not apologize or seem sorry to say this to me. Management should make this place appointment-only if they cannot handle walk-ins. ALSO, if a Labcorp member is planning on leaving me a generic response to this Yelp review like: "Hi, We are sorry to hear that this was your experience at the Upland, CA Patient Service Center. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look into this issue further." Just know that that is a USELESS comment for me and anyone else coming to your business. Why give me an extremely generic response to my message if you aren't going to fix this? Maybe actually fix the wait times by getting rid of walk-ins or having a much easier, well-functioning scheduling system. If it is fixed, then I will value your response.

(if any of…read morethe teachers/ staff see this, thank you for everything!) - The teachers were very supportive and willing to work with you individually to help you succeed. (For the first week, they kept on reminding us that we can go talk to them for help if we are struggling at all haha). - They encourage all students to ask question no matter how dumb you think that question is. As a person who is very detailed, I asked a lot of clarifying questions and I never felt uncomfortable doing so. - As most of the teachers are/ were experienced higher level EMTs (paramedic, fire fighter etc.), they shared many stories along with the lecture to make them more applicable to real life and engaging! - Students were very diverse in culture, age range, and goals. Some were students who just graduated high school and some were in their 30's! Some students' goals were becoming a nurse, firefighter, or doctor/ surgeon. It was fantastic getting to know each other's goals and stories :) - Note: 6 week course was quite demanding and required many hours of self-studying (to review or read ahead before we were given lectures). Every Wednesday was a day off so we were able to catch up and study whatever we needed. Don't worry though, it's not too bad if you study with others :) Final thoughts: 10/10 would recommend Tips: study anatomy and physiology beforehand (it helps a ton although is not required to succeed)

That's the only reason there's any stars at all. I'm sorry but I really need to review this class and Red Cross needs to not use this location until it can be fixed. (Anaheim LOCATION) They do not separate BLS from the regular CPR for civilians. And it was NOT good. There was not enough equipment for everyone (including the BLS professionals). It was extremely rushed. The children, infant and First Aid portion was rushed to the max. I have taken a how to on tourniquet before and it was not enough information given during this part. I'm a civilian and I'm not prepared even though I'm now technically certified. I literally need to retake. There was no skills review section for civilian which is concerning, doesn't Red Cross want certification to mean anything? My husbands class at another location had a skills review. And it wasn't rushed like this. The BLS test was being administered at the end when civilian video was going on. It was difficult to follow the video with the q & a from the BLS. Plus the stop start and not finishing parts of the video make it extra hard to follow. And I'm assuming taking a test with video blasting isn't great for the professionals. Note for content to Red Cross, why doesn't the anaphylaxis portion tell you to use the opposite leg for the second dose of epinephrine? That's basic information and as someone who carries epinephrine I'm actually angry Red Cross doesn't include that information?! It's literally dangerous. Don't include it at all if you can't do it properly. *Edited to add I did NOT sign up for the one that says combined. I signed up for this " ARC Adult Child and Infant CPR AED and First Aid Full Class". No BLS mentioned.
