The doctor was extremely rude to me. When the doctor came in after hearing all my symptoms she wrote it off as a mere cold and kept talking to me like an elementary grade child telling me to tough it out. The doctor seemed more interested in going back to her conversation with her colleagues than in trying to treat me. I went to a different urgent care after an agonizing few days since I couldn't take the pain and was tested positive for strep Throat. 1 star off for the long wait. Took 2.5 hours to see the provider couple of nights ago. Very annoying when you're in pain. I developed a nerve pain down my hip, butt and leg few weeks ago that would not go away. this was going on for the past few weeks. I guess I arrived at a bad time. They were getting very busy. It was 4 PM. I did not see the doctor until 7 PM approximately. Poor staffing equals long wait times. Equals unhappy customers. However, once I was in the care of Dr. Okazaki , my annoyance due to the long wait, was diffused. He quickly called the x-ray technician to come over from the other location (Wellnow locations share an x-ray tech). He diagnosed me with sciatica, ordered two medications for me and explained the reason why I should take them. His sweet nature, competence, and willingness to help, won me over. I required stitches, paid the copay. I went back a week later for the removal and was told the stitches need a few more days. When I returned i was told there was no charge for the removal. The invoices keep coming for multipe visits! I have made multipe calls and been on hold to 15 mins. each time after hearing your call will be answered within 5 mins! 5 different invoices, with different amounts owed! I went into the Well Now on Niagara Falls Blvd and Sheridan this past March. The girl at the desk insisted I did not have a copay. I know it is 60.00. She got upset and said I was accusing her of not knowing her job! Yesterday I got a bill for $365.00 saying it was "at risk of going to collections". On top of that I was charged an additional 50.00 because it was a weekend???? I drove to the location to get a better understanding g. I thought I could get a free Covid test from this site. I was wrong. I went to the site, was put in an exam room and a MD entered wanting to give me a physical exam. He wanted to look in my throat and ask questions about my current health. I then asked him why I was getting MD exam and tried to clarify I only wanted the free Covid test. The MD called me an unkind name, which seemed like a judgment on my character after a 30 second conversation in which I wanted to understand what was happening to me. I again said I am looking for an understanding of services. I only wanted the test and there was confusion in my mind, as to what I was paying for. When he then call me such an unkind name I left the room in tears and still question how a professional man can have the right to be so unkind and judgmental of a persons character after 30 seconds. read more

I don't even remember my last visit but I see this isn't my first 1 star review here... Made an 8:30 appointment, filled out all my paperwork online ahead of time & showed up early, to my pleasure this location had no provider so that was helpful. Few people in the waiting room still filling out paper work, all got taken before me - at about 9:45 (over an hour after my appointment) I was the only person in the waiting room & hadn't been even spoken to so I just left to go to a different location. 20, 30 even 45 minutes is understandable, but waiting in the waiting room OVER an hour after having booked an appointment?? By far the worst experience I've had at a health center. The staff seemed very confused and when being seen for the first part of my appointment, the woman was very careless with what she had to do in order to get basic physical information- specifically when checking my blood pressure, she did it over my long sleeve shirt and the stethoscope was not even in the pit of my elbow. I went in to get an exam for restrictions at work. I had fallen at work the previous Saturday, and although x rays saw no fractured ribs, I was in so much pain I could barely move. I asked at the desk if they did workman's comp exams, and the paper work, and was told they did. I also asked the nurse practitioner who came to examine me, the same questions. She said the same thing, and said there was a dr who signed off on all comp paper work. Long story short, when I got the paperwork from my employer's insurance company, WellNow suddenly didn't do comp exams, or the paperwork! I was livid! 2 people there had told me they did, and two weeks later, they don't? Had to go in for ear pain on a Tuesday afternoon. While I was waiting, read other reviews, they made me very leery and wished I hadn't! I hoped my experience would be different! The check in process was painless. I waited about 10 minutes before being triaged, then maybe another 15 before being taken back. I felt like the nurses and doctor were very attentive and focused on my needs. My doctor even apologized for keeping me waiting. What? Really? I told her it really wasn't that long at all. I liked that she cared and appreciated that. I was fixed up and sent on my way with my script called in to my pharmacy. So I go in this Urgent care on Friday morning by 815am bc I have been very sick for 5 days. To be asked if I had an appt.. when I said no.. she said they have no Dr on site and doesn't know when a Dr will be in. So I then was going to go to Immediate Care but they didn't open til 9am so I figured I'd just wait. Another person walked in literally 30 seconds after me and they walked her right back after checking her in. I went back in, overheard the dark hair (front desk girl) I believe her name was Ashley.. saying to someone in the back "Don't worry I'll keep deferring them the best I can.. it's Friday.. & chuckled". I addressed her when she came back up to the front desk. She Said I don't have to accept seeing you as we are privately owned if you keep talking to me like that.. I said like what- addressing what I just heard you say..? I said just check me in then. So she did, I did see the Dr PA who was very kind and prescribed me my meds that I desperately needed to help me get well. On the way out I said to the girl I hope this same happens to you one day when your sick.. I'm sure Karma will take care of it. She was just laughing and waving her hands around. Another reason I am posting this review is bc 1 week ago my husband was very sick & this "same girl" took him to a virtual visit in a room without even asking if he wanted virtual.. & he left with no medicine. I called complaining the following day & she said that's how they do things.. & she could not have anyone prescribe him anything unless he's seen again. She said he could arrive by 730pm to be seen.. he arrived by 655pm and she refused to see him saying it was too late. So then he had to go to Immediate care down the road to get the meds he desperately needed. Idk if this chic thinks people are visiting this place to hang out or what.. this is a place people visit bc they are sick & need a Drs care. This girl should not be working in the face of sick patients or in Healthcare, especially at a front desk where they should be kindly greeted.. she is very ignorant, uncaring & unprofessional. Had Covid19 and antibody testing and was supposed to receive results within 5 days. I was supposed to signin to mybostonheart.com and create a user name and password. Did that and still could not get into their site. They sent me a new PW, and still no luck. This office on Sheridan Dr. cannot be reached by phone at all, and also mybostonheart.com cannot be reached. After many attempts with no resolution, someone told me to call the Erie County Health Dept. where I was given the results immediately (negative thank goodness.) This urgent care facility is impossible to reach--couldn't even leave a voicemail. This in my estimation is extremely poor customer consideration. read more

Wow! This place is fantastic! There was hardly any wait when I went but the staff all made sure I was comfortable while I was waiting. The checking process was also quick and the entire place was very clean. The doctor and nurses were all friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I really feel like they went above and beyond here. I visited this facility for a broken arm late in the day on a Friday, shortly before closing. The staff was wonderful and fully adhered to the Covid-19 requirements. They treated me quickly and were kind and friendly. They referred me to an orthopedic doctor and I went there immediately. The doctor needed the xrays so my husband went back to WellNow and they opened the door for him even though it was after hours. They gave him the xrays and the doctor actually came out and talked to him about my injury. This is a great place to go in case of emergency and I would not hesitate to use their services again. read more

I was forced to wait in my car for over two hours when they finally called telling me to go in and then they still claimed no rooms were available? So went back out to the car and waited even longer!!! Refused to let me go in the room with patient and was very rude about it. I didn't realize that URGENT care would take over two hours which I read in other reviews is very common here and would be treated poorly by workers. Some of these nurses should be fired. While the front staff checking me in were very kind they were not organized at all. The one who checked me in for my scheduled appointment said I'd be called in next at the exact same time the person from the other desk told an individual they'd get him in next since he waited 2 hours (without a scheduled appointment). I had said the gentleman could go first seeing as that seemed awful. Another patient in the area said she was told she'd be next during this but I ended up going before her. I waited in the exam room for 2 hours after already having waited half an hour in the waiting room. it was frustrating that no one came to tell me that there was a delay or hold up, I had to open the door to make sure I wasn't forgotten. It seemed like there was only one physician but at least four other admin/staff who spent most of the time hanging out and eating. I can understand if there was a staffing issue but it wasn't communicated. read more

This is the worst urgent care In probably All of buffalo, I have had multiple encounters with them, but most recently I went in and was diagnosed with the flu, they prescribed antibiotics and wrote me a doctors note.... the doctors note only covered me for 1 day. A flu can be contagious up to 5 days. I was seen by a PA, who seemed at a lack of experience. So I called them back and told them I would need a couple more days until I get better. They than wrote me another note which was basically a blank check, stating that I could go back to work when my fever broke. When I called them back and told them I would need an acutally date, they told me to comeback in and be seen again and would charge me the CO-PAY again. Absolute frauds! read more

I am very impressed with this place and will recommend to anyone who is in need of an urgent care. I went to this location because of all of the great reviews on google. I walked in and as soon as I was done checking in, I was taken right back to a room. Within seconds, a nurse came in to check my vitals. As soon as she finished, a doctor came in to see me right away. She was so sweet and could tell I wasn't feeling well. Within minutes I received a diagnosis and was prescribed medicine. My daughter went there earlier in the year. They claimed their systems were down. My daughter paid the copayment in cash. Since then she is being harassed via text by them because they say she owes money. I called the insurance company and they said they have no record of the visit. That's because their "systems were down". I tried calling them to tell them to resubmit the claim and they refused. I spoke to Ashley who was very rude especially since I'm trying to tell them what they need to do to get paid. I would personally stay away from this place. read more

I went to Well Now four weeks ago for COVID-19 antibody testing. I was so excited to finally be able to get the antibody testing. I made my mother, father and sister go too. It was a total money grab. They charge you a $130 sign in fee, just to be seen for the test, the fee is in addition to the $100 for the test. With my insurance I paid $75. We had to sit in our cars for four hours. We ended up talking to a man that usually gets all of his care at Veterans Hospital. Well now made him pay $230 for the test before they would draw his blood. My sister and I both received negative results, it took over two weeks. My mother and father still have no results. My mother called Well Now, they directed her to call Boston Heart, which is apparently where the antibody tests are completed. Boston Heart told my mother they have no record of her test. Before being tested they take your insurance information and a copy of your insurance card. My sister just received a letter saying the lost her insurance information. This place is a disaster. I will never go to Well Now again! P.S I am an NP with known exposure to COVID. I had a fever, muscle aches, a rash and conjunctivitis. My sister had similar symptoms. We were both negative. I would recommend waiting for a more accurate or free antibody test to be developed before pursuing testing. read more
