I am not sure why the low ratings for this location as we had a great experience at this office. They took excellent care when my husband came in with a fracture. They took their time with him an we didn't feel rushed at all. Almost felt like a family member was his aide . Thats how well they took care of him. Communication was top notch. The two receptionists on shift on today 2/6/25 During the 1:00 hour were terrible. They were handlig another customer which is fine but the customer service is terrible. As I work in customer service the protocol is to let entering patients know that "I will be with you in just a second". We were not acknowledged until 3 minutes went past & they were finish with their conversation. Really unacceptable & someone should speak to them about havig better customer service as a receptionist. You are the first people we see & that left a terrible taste in my mouth. read more

The providers are fine but the front desk is downright rude, not helpful and use HIPAA as a way to not answer questions that are not protected by the act. My most recent visit was a much worse experience than my first one. I understand medical facilities are under stress during the pandemic, but the mistakes made during this visit are not acceptable. When I arrived they told me my insurance was "high deductible" and that therefore I would have to pay $145 for the visit, which is more than the $130 they charge for people who self pay due to being uninsured. They printed out my plan and highlighted what they thought was the deductible. I wanted to get seen and get this done with, so I paid. Later when I reviewed the plan and further documentation with my spouse, we realized that they had been looking at an "out of pocket maximum" for the year and thinking that was the deductible. To thier credit, when I called and pointed out the mistake, they voided the charge and will mail me the correct bill. That's one reason why I'm not giving them 1 star. However, someone also called me later in the day thinking the voided charge was a mistake and trying to get me to pay again over the phone. They did back down when I explained the situation. The actual medical care was less than perfect. I and my housemate were both there. I got the prescription I needed, but the doctor didn't have a good attitude about it and was overall not helpful. She focused more on what she could not do than trying to help. For my housemate they wanted to give her a flu test though she had no flu symptoms. They made her wait a long time, and failed to prescribe one medication she needed. The location in Fairport seems better, I'll go there if I need urgent care in the future read more

I am not pleased at all with my visit. I came in at 4:40 and did not leave until 6pm. There were no other patients there. I heard laughing and loudness while I was waiting forever to be seen. One of the front desk people was rude and used Hippa to not electronically send my work note while their printer was not working. I used to pay out of pocket here because the care was great. Not anymore. My last two visits have been similar- unprofessional staff and uncalled for wait times. It is a shame because it used to be good at WeeNow. read more

I'd give them zero stars if that were an option. I went there with my 13 year old daughter who had a severe cut and was gushing blood. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. Girl behind the counter looked at us and said they close at 8:00. I looked at my phone and it was EXCACTLY 8:00. She went in the back after I was yelling that my daughter needed help and she came back with a "supervisor" and they all agreed- They were closed. So I come in at 5:30 pm to be seen. No one was in the reception area but I could hear people laughing and talking in the back. After several minutes I knocked on the door. A couple minutes later, a young woman with a nasty attitude came up and said the receptionist is on lunch so they can't take any walk-ins. I simply said I thought that was odd, especially since the staff were obviously not working either. She told me if I had an emergency she could call an ambulance. She took her time with me to assess every aspect of my health and to zero-in on a nasty sinus infection that has been torturing me for about a month. I've visited this location a few times over the past year since moving to Rochester, and I have found each visit to be great! Scheduling an appointment online is beyond simple, they usually have immediate openings, and there is almost no wait time upon arriving. The front desk staff do seem a little numb to it all, so they're never outwardly or overly friendly, but I've worked with the public before, so I know how draining it is. But they get the job done, so I don't care! I've also seen different doctors each time-- all the loveliest, most helpful women, and I've never left feeling like my questions weren't answered, or my medical issue wasn't resolved. read more

My husband had checked out the website which states test returns that same day, and was confirmed on the phone. I had my PCR covid test Sunday am at 9:06 appointment. After waiting for over 24 hours, I called Monday, and Tuesday trying to see if I could talk to the manager. They took the message, but no return call ever came. Tuesday, I called three times... a little annoyed. I am in healthcare, and own our own business. I wanted to plan on the care of my patients in advance, so I was not happy. I said goodbye and hung up, but not fast enough. I overheard the girl on the desk call me a f******* B****. I did try to call back to tell her I heard her and the phone rang over 45 times with no answer... The next day I called a different facility on dewey and Brian checked with the manager and I got a call back within an hour (great job Brian!) unfortunately they asked me to come in to retest. There can only be one reason, they had "misplaced" my lab work. It is Thursday am, and I finally reached a supervisor named Jennifer who said she would call the lab at 11 am (not sure why,do they only start work at 11 am?). How long is it to really process the test I'm not sure of. I do know that I will never recommend this facility for any reason. Its now noon. I have no beef about the actual providers, just the total experience, one front desk female, and management. Still waiting on Thursday. Scheduled another test yesterday for another place later today. Should have done that right from the start. Fraudulent advertising( same day service advertised on line and 24 hour service on the sheet given to me) coupled with that one service staff that certainly doesn't put the patient first. I visited Wellnow on December 5th with sore throat and cough. Technician swabbed for rapid strep and Covid test. PA came in and did exam. I asked when I would get results back and was told 3-5 days. I thought that was acceptable. On Tuesday I contacted my physician to notify I had been tested. She called Wellnow and was told the sample was not picked up until Monday. She added that the results would not be available until Friday or Monday, making the total time for results anywhere from 6-9 days! The takeaway here is if you're getting tested is to realize samples are not picked up on weekends and you may wait several days to find out if you have Covid! Would not recommend if you need Covid test results in a timely manner! read more

I had a very good experience at this location today. I need a COVID test for upcoming surgery. I call yesterday to get details and the receptionist said they were very busy and the wait timer was 2-21/2 hours. She suggested I make an appointment online for the next day (that day was full). They only make same day appointments so I had to wait until midnight or early the next morning to make one. I took rapid covid it was negative but I really had covid , I took a rapid strep throat it too was negative but I have clear signs of strep .. ear ache white on throat pain can't swallow . When I arrived I followed large poster on door to scan Code to check in. When that didn't work I called and was told I really didn't have an appt but could wait at a couple hrs to get in. When I described how I made an appt and the confirmation texts I received, I was told they weren't really from Well Now but the computers send them out. What? If you do manage to get in, and there is a line, don't be discouraged! Depending on your situation, they can try to work you in. Came here for covid testing because I also wanted the antibody test. My personal information was checked twice by reception and twice by providers while I was in the exam room. It was submitted to the lab with incorrect personal information. The results were ready in 2 days, but I could not access them. After six days I figured out what might be the issue. Called to inquire. Was told someone would call me back. It's 24 hours later, and no one has called me. I had to pretend I was someone else to get my results and now I have medical data out in the world with incorrect personal data attached. What if I couldn't return to work without the results? I would have missed three days of work because of their error. What if someone else exists with the data the put on my sample? read more

My six-year-old daughter's eye was swollen shut and so we brought her to WellNow to be checked. The NP gave her a diagnosis and sent us home with two prescriptions. We followed up with the pediatrician the next day when it wasn't better and found out that the NP gave us the wrong kind of medicine to fix periorbital cellulitis. This resulted in my daughter having to have 2 shots of antibiotics and another round of the correct oral antibiotics. If we had waited any longer, we would have ended up in the emergency room. We will never risk our children's health here again. read more

The NP that 'treated' me at the center on the corner of Portland and East Ridge Road, had the worst bedside manner I've ever encountered. Apparently over the last 6 weeks, I just keep getting various viruses and I need to come back the next time I am full blown sick with fever and disgusting mucus. Her tone was combative and condescending, phrases such as: "I'm not holding out on antibiotics", "everyone in Irondequoit has the same thing", "I can't fix a flat tire before it is flat", and at the end, after I've explained how terrible I feel and have felt this way for 6 weeks: "enjoy this beautiful sunny day"...really! I'm not disputing that maybe I have had viruses, but a little compassion goes a long way, especially after I paid $160. read more

I came in to get a COVID-19 test. I was hoping to get a real swab test not one of the 50/50 rapid tests. When I got to my room I was greeted by a very rude and impatient nurse with brown hair and large gold frame glasses who seemed to have wanted to be anywhere but helping me at the time. Then she proceeded to not ask any questions and conducted a rapid test which I didn't give consent for and was not informed that I was even receiving a rapid test as the swabs all look the same she just said "expose your nose" then proceeded to cram the cotton swab into my nostril. Then gave very rushed and unclear instructions and when I tried to ask for clarification she was already halfway out the door and continued to shut the door without responding. I didn't even become aware that I had received a rapid test until the "provider" came in and shared the result with me which was thankfully negative given the inaccuracies of the rapid tests. Since I got the rapid test I also had to be subjected to another actual test swab which is what I wanted in the first place. This was a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience I'm sure there are other urgent cares that may be a little further away but well worth the trip to not have to go to this place. read more

The location is very convenient. Check-in process was smooth. To my surprise I had to pay a large copay before my insurance was billed. I was told I would receive a credit if I was charged too much after billing my insurance. I didn't have to wait long to see the provider. The nurse practitioner made me feel very comfortable and gave me good care. Later that day I got a text asking me to rate my experience and I gave a 5 out of 5. I'm giving 3 stars now because the day after my visit I got another text that asked how I was doing as a follow up to my visit (which is a great service). It said either respond I'm "OK" or "CALL" if I wanted a nurse to call me back shortly to talk about any concerns I have. I texted back "CALL" and No One Called Me Back. There is an option in the second text to call a number if you want to talk to someone immediately. I later called the number. It goes to a central call center so the person that answered was only able to give me general information and asked if I had the direct number to the facility I went to. The care at the facility is good. Their follow up needs work. read more
