Had my first appointment in this clinic with Dr Basma. She looked friendly but was clearly in a rush. Didn't have much time to listen to my concerns and conditions. Once she was done with her questions, she stood up and headed to the door immediately, so ready to leave. Had the rest of the conversation and inquiries with her standing between her desk and the door. She answered most but not all of my questions. But I didn't want to continue the inquiries anymore anyways, because her posture and responses made me feel like I was wasting her time. I'm not sure what to feel about her asking "Why would you?" several times to my conditions, to my past experience, even to just a piece of information about women's health practice that's not done in this clinic but commonly done elsewhere. Because I didn't feel much listened or attended to, I'm not sure whether I would feel safe to come back again if I have other women's health or sexual health related issues. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!! SAVE YOURSELF!! Had my first PHONE appointment cancelled minutes prior because I didn't fill out my screening form sent an hour prior....MY PHONE APPOINTMENT! Did not know covid now could be passed through the internet. Finally got appointment to have the Dr.Yvonne Cheah (run away) doubt all of my symptoms, claim it "was not that bad" because I had managed to get out of bed after 5 days. Did not order ANY tests, prescribe ANY medication, received absolutely NO medical help whatsoever. Save yourself the trouble and go to a clinic that will actually help you. If I could give negative stars for the service this place gives you I would. Will never come to this clinic again and will never recommend to anybody. Also this pharmacy acts as a picking on the wallets of Well One's patients. They actually could not WAIT for me to fill out a nonexistent prescription that they actually called me before I had even had my appointment, getting my contact information from the form I submitted to the clinic. read more

I like my Dr. but this clinic will nickel and dime you for everything they can. Very strict about booking separate appointments for issues you may be having, so that they can bill as many appointments back to our healthcare system as possible. $20 for the note I need each year to renew my insurance. Don't waste your time. There are so many downtown medical centers to choose from that do not operate like a walk-in clinic. Unfortunately the clinic is very incompetently managed with no active phone line and they are unresponsive to emails. They are also unresponsive to pharmacy requests, as a very standard refill request has been put through by the pharmacy and still no response after 4 days. They are interested in churning patients for profit rather than properly facilitating care. I must admit, the doctors are talented, but they are not given the time or tools needed to properly take care of your health. Shame. I loved Dr. Yvonne Cheah. She saw me as a patient when I had no doctor to see. She wasn't even suppose to see me that day but Im so glad I did. She was able to address all my concerns, and never rushed me. Ive been suffering so long and no one could help but she listened, order the right things and gave me a diagnosis. She was so supportive. I wish I could give Dr. Yvonne Cheah zero stars. I was forced to book an appointment with this unprofessional individual today because my family doctor (who works at the same clinic as Dr. Yvonne Cheah) had already concluded her practice for the day. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30pm. Instead, Dr. Yvonne Cheah was clearly running late because it was now 4:00pm and she still had not phoned me. I therefore messaged the clinic to advise that I have not yet received the call and they reached out to her, prompting her to phone me at 4:02pm. Upon answering her call, I was regrettably subjected to an angry and belligerent Dr. Yvonne Cheah who lambasted me and yelled at me aggressively about why I forgot to mention during my last appointment with my family doctor that I was almost out of Concerta. Maybe it is because as a human being, I can sometimes forget to say or do certain things? She then ranted and raved about how she cannot refill my entire prescription because it is a "controlled substance" and it is the clinic's policy that only my family doctor can prescribe it and that I should be familiar with the clinic's policy since I signed it. What I was not able to communicate to Dr. Yvonne Cheah because I could not get a word in edgewise was that on February 18, 2020, she prescribed Methylphenidate for me in the absence of my family doctor and that too, is a controlled substance. Therefore, while I agree that I should be familiar with the clinic's policy since I signed it, she too should be familiar with the clinic's policy since she practices medicine there and presumably signed the same policy. It's ironic that Dr. Yvonne Cheah tried to interrogate me about why I forgot to mention to my family doctor that I was almost out of medication when she herself forgot that she prescribed a controlled substance for me in February. Are lapses in memory only permissible for rude and incompetent doctors and not for the rest of the population? Dr. Cheah's behaviour today was unprofessional at best and downright reprehensible at worst. Ladies and gentlemen, please AVOID Dr. Cheah at all costs. read more

Great service and caring staff at this clinic! I've been looking for a good family doctor for years in Toronto and I finally found one here at this clinic. Dr. Yvonne Cheah was not only welcoming and caring but you really feel she cares about your well-being and went out of her way numerous times to help me during some trying times. I have never met such a sweet and kind doctor who is also so knowledgeable and helpful. I had to write this review as I saw someone write a horrible review about her and it made me quite upset. In the few years that I've known Dr. Cheah she has never raised her voice or been rude, she has always been such a joy to speak to so please take what this other patient said with a grain of salt and come have your own experience with her and i promise you will not be disappointed! read more

First of all I must say that the doctors working here are extremely skilled, kind, and helpful. My doctor in particular is a huge reason I go to this clinic. However, this review is not about my doctor, but about the clinic itself. The location is extremely convenient. It is about a 3 minute walk from Union station and close to the underground streetcar stop. The hours are quite decent as they are open fairly late at night as well to accommodate the after work crowd. I have never used the walk-in feature of the clinic, so I cannot comment on that. It is quite handy having the pharmacy so in house so that the doctor can communicate right with the pharmacists. As well, if I need to get an injection, the front desk can notify the nurse while I simply pick up the prescription. The reception staff are (usually) helpful. I have had a few times where they are clearly quite busy and seem overwhelmed. The main reason why I gave this place a 4/5 as opposed to a 5/5 is due to some of the silly clinic rules/practices. You cannot simply get the pharmacy to ask the doctor for a refill of a prescription (think birth control) for free. It will cost you $25 to get them to ask, or otherwise you have to book a while appointment to get it renewed. My old doctor did that for free as I know most do. As well, any appointment to discuss travel vaccinations costs $90 and is not covered via OHIP. Again, this is silly. Lastly, I will comment on the online booking system. Overall, it is quite helpful, but there are some circumstances where it would be better to talk to a receptionist on the phone. GOOD LUCK. It is rare they pick up (especially during the busier hours aka. lunch). Overall, the office is very, very clean. The nurse is sweet, and the receptionists and pharmacists are very helpful. I will continue to go here as long as my doctor continues to have her practice in this clinic. read more

Being a tourist in Toronto, we had to urgent find a medical clinic when my 3 year old who was coughing her lungs out and progressive gotten worse on our 4th day. My first impression of the clinic was clean, bright, well kept yet kid friendly enough to have Frozen decal and toys for toddlers to play with. The two ladies at the front desk was very professional and nice even though they had to deliver a bad message that the clinic was fully booked for the day and the earliest appointment would be for 7:30pm that night. I explained my 3 year old's coughing situation and they gave me assurance that they will speak with the doctor to see if they can squeeze her in. Even if the doctors cannot accommodate, they will help us make the calls to area clinic so we won't have to keep walking around to clinic that doesn't take walk in - We were thru 2 other locations before finding this clinic that does take walk in and we had no phone being a tourist! I absolutely cannot understand why other reviewers complains about the front desk. Both ladies were never once rude or nasty to us. They went above and beyond in my opinion. Long story short, they took us in! We had Dr. Ryan Chen and he was very patient and knowledgeable. He answered ALL my concerns patiently and even told me I should not have given OTC cough med since my kid was too small. I do feel Dr. Chen has his patient's well being as first priority. In New York City the Doctor would have just take hurry you along, take your money and run. Forget about giving you medical advice on what I, as the parent of the patient should not have done. His delivery was professional and very cordial. They have a pharmacy in house, so that was convenient. Their fee was reasonable despite knowing we are tourist (they could have jack up the price and I will still have to pay) and we had no insurance . The ladies at the front desk gave us an email address in the event we had problem claiming our traveling insurance. All the staff - from the front desk to the Doctors to the Pharmacy team - they were AMAZING and I cannot thank them enough. This TEAM put a worry mother at ease while in a foreign location. Location is convenient and the place is clean. The wait time is awful! I waited an 75 min to be seen by someone. Albeit, I didn't have an appointment, but I was pretty sure that I was at a walk-in clinic. The nurse was really pleasant and easy to talk to. This is a growing practice that is fairly new. However, I can go to faster medical centers in the neighborhood. Maybe more doctors working at one time would help! read more

I saw Dr Salami after injuring my wrist. She had me get X-rays done and when she got the results, informed me that it was only a sprain. Weeks later after still being in pain, I followed up with her and she referred me to a sport medicine therapist. The sports medicine therapist had me get X-rays again and found that there was actually a break in my scaphoid and I needed to get a cast. The orthopaedic doctor who put the cast on me took a look at the first set of X-rays and the break was visibly there and thus Dr Salami misdiagnosed my break. Due to her misdiagnosis, I went 6 weeks with a broken wrist that could have potentially gotten worse. If you think you've broken something, I highly recommend not going to Well One or to Dr Salami as there is a good chance you will be misdiagnosed too. I may still need surgery after the cast comes off due to the length of time it took for my wrist to get properly taken care of. read more
