I've got overdraft protection. I went to the TCF Excelsior Bank. Apparently, that doesn't cover auto payments, or balance transfers- this all happened right before Christmas!!! "TATIANA" graced me with her presence." SHE'S VERY rude, callous & think she's a big deal. The tcf ccard co was almost as bad. I'M considering banking elsewhere bc of HER & this whole nightmare! I contacted DISCOVER- trsfd to them- zero bal fee, 0%12 mo. PLEASANT to deal with. THANKS for everything TATIANA & the tcf ccard co for taking such good care of a valued customer. I never had any major problems, even when issues (such as extra fees, were my own fault) well that is until the recent merger they did with Chemical bank that is. A few months ago I had to get money out of a non-TCF ATM and I got whacked with a $12 fee. When I stopped in the branch to have some of that fee reversed I was not only denied but insulted in the process. I called to close my account and the rep on the phone resolved the issue and apologized profusely. Then about 18+ days ago my account was compromised and emptied with fraudulent charges. Most were pending and I do not know why they still went through. I reported ALL the charges for reimbursement but only a few got reversed. I had to call again, (wait times are excessive) I reported the remaining charges and again only a few got reversed. Called AGAIN and I am still waiting for MY MONEY BACK! The totals on the online banking are always inaccurate now and to call again takes an excess of over 45 minutes if the call even goes through, as sometimes the recording tells me to call back another time and disconnects. I am hoping TCF can correct these problems PROMPTLY and get back to good service or I will be forced to bank else-where!

It was like talking to my best friend. The agent explained the policies and how everything was going to progress. State Farm also has special people to talk to if you have a hearing deficit--which I do. So I could hear and understand the process. I'm driving my car again and it looks beautiful.

Terrible customer service. Customer services stated there was nothing that they could do to help…read moreme with a tech problem. If they did not know how to help, they should have researched the question instead of repeatedly stating "unfortunately there is nothing we can do, we can not help you" I asked if I could talk to someone who knew how to help, could I help myself? and I got the same response over and over " unfortunately..." I talked with supervisor Susan, who called me names and blamed me, I spoke to the bank manager, Jim who supported his staff and proved incompetent to operate his products on contracted website, and fiannally, Zeke who literally laughed at me. It appears I was talked about among the staff and treated as entertainment and therefore humiliated. I was experiencing a family emergency. I neededed help. I persisted, studied the website and solved the problem in 45 seconds. I reported to Midcountry there was a simple solution that allowed me to help my family, and again they shamed me, twisted the truth, and blamed the customer. They asked me what I wanted to do? I said I never wanted them to treat a customer in an emergency this way again. Terrible treatment for a customer of over 20 years. My accounts will all be closed this week.
