A magical, soul-soothing escape. I can't say enough good things about my stay at Wellspring Spa. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I'd stepped into a hidden forest sanctuary. The land itself is breathtaking--towering trees, soft mossy trails, and peaceful stillness that invites you to breathe deeper and slow down. I spent hours wandering the hiking paths and felt like I was in another world. I stayed in the Tahoma cabin, and wow--it was cozy, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. (They must have updated them based on what I have read from previous posts!) Every detail in the space felt intentional and grounding. After a day of exploring, soaking in the outdoor hot tub with that stunning view of the trees was exactly what my body and mind needed. And the lofted sauna? Absolutely the coolest (and warmest!) little gem--such a unique and relaxing experience. What really made this place special, though, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They were so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about creating a healing experience for guests. I had a wonderful experience at Wellspring, there has clearly been so much love and whimsy put into this place. It's the perfect place to come back to after hiking all day at Mount Rainer and lovely as a couple's getaway. My boyfriend and I loved the privacy and thought the cabin was beautiful. It has a well stocked kitchen where we cooked a nice meal and enjoyed the free standing hot tub. We also appreciated their commitment to being environmentally friendly. Overall a decent experience. Extremely peaceful and relaxing environment with trails surrounding the property. However, the interior of the cabin (Tioga) lacks lighting and has unnecessary tree branches all throughout the cabin which can be frustrating at times. Moreover, the shower and bath are completely in the open, meaning that privacy is limited within the cabin. Though the owners can be contacted by email, it is difficult to communicate as there is no internet in the area. read more

This place was worn out. The skylight was so dirty there was no way to see the stars. The burlap ceiling was moth eaten the towels looked like 100 people had used them. No bathroom in the cabins and a poorly lit trail had tripping hazards. You could not use the hot tub or sauna without paying more and only if there were no guests staying in the connected cabin. Unfortunately, my son had his wedding here. The location is beautiful but the cabins left a lot to be desired. We arrived Friday and checked out Sunday. Once the wedding party and the guest checked in, the management was nowhere to be found. We stayed at the 3 Bears cabin and the condition was appalling. Everything was in its place, but nothing was clean. The beds were lumpy and the bathroom was as dark as a cave. Clean towels were not provided daily. The main lodge had a cooking area where we were able to make breakfast and lunch. The garbage pails were never emptied all weekend. The lodge had a fireplace, but an ample supply of wood was not provided. I would NOT recommend staying here, and especially not for a wedding. read more

I highly suggest those of you looking to book this event for a wedding- don't- find another place. I will never ever support this business again after this weekend's experience. First- the bride/groom rented the entire facility-all cabins and the grounds for their small-social distance wedding. The way the owner treated the bride/groom prior to and after the wedding was disappointing. They were talked to about making noise when they weren't the ones making noise prior to the tent rentals arriving. (They had arrived a day early and stayed overnight as their tent would be delivered Friday morning.) When they were talked to about noise being made and it possibly upsetting the other guests- the noise they found was in fact the other guests who were up and about already- not their vendor dropping off their tent. Their florist arrived and decorated beautifully the sanctuary from some photos the bride had seen on instagram that this venue had been tagged in from prior weddings at the venue (several different events of which 1 instagram tag appears to not be an event rather how it was decorated by the owner themselves at one time) yet the owner chewed the florist out for adding weight to the trees- even though there was a large rock wedged between 2 trees and rebar-or metal of some sort anchoring the venue's emblem in the trees in the sanctuary. Not only did she chew out the florist- she came the day after the wedding as we were frantically trying to get things put away by the 11am check out to wish them the best- but more chew them out some more about things they've learned to tell the next couples about. however- this wasn't new- this was something done by several other couples in prior weddings- in fact from instagram photos it appears may be some similiar decorations other times. Regardless- why is there a need to talk to a bride that way after the ceremony when she already talked to the florist.?! During the reception the lights went out while guests were eating. While the best man ran around trying to fix it the owner did not know where the GFIs were nor did she know how to resolve the issue. The best man asked for the breakers which could be found at the back of a shed with many things between the door and the breakers- they could not be reached. Thanks to the band for having an extra extension cord to route to another plug in. During the ceremony the owner watched from above- then during the reception she wondered around the dance floor with someone on skype/facetime showing others the band performing. They are not ADA complaint- for the few guests unable to walk through a long train to the sanctuary- they wanted to use the road to drive them closer- only to be told only 1 car could be on the road at one time and they could not turn around as there was worry that ferns may be run over. They advertise being able to hold 200 guests- there is no way due to extremely limited parking and after the way they were treated with a 50 or so people wedding I would worry the treatment of 200 guests would be much worse. This is very disappointing. Very. Unacceptable. If you are looking for a wedding venue- or know someone who is- tell them not to use this place. It will bring negativity to what should be the best day of your lives. They do not belong in the hospitality business. We had hoped to make this an at least annual trip to return and now are left with more distaste over the way they were treated. Also - at least the cabin we stayed in (three bears) was not very clean- smelled and the floors were not level. In fact- I snagged my sock at one point on what could have been a very deep sliver in my foot ruining my sock. The fridge leaked water and did not cool. The shower was sunken in deeper that the floor. The sink was so low I had to practically be on my knees to use it and I'm only 5'2". The toilet paper holder was only about an inch off the ground further back that the toilet itself and there was a large tree that you had to straddle to use the toilet. And don't think you can wash clothes while you're sleeping- although there is a washer and dryer it sounds like the entire cabin is about to take off. The blinds did not stay up- you had to wrap the cord around the curtain rod to get them to stay up. There was a huge pile of dust in the bedroom next to what appears to be a closet with a very old dresser in it full of extra linen. The towels never seemed clean even after we washed them. read more

It was a magical stay at wellspring spa. My group rented the big lodge in the center of the property for a weekend women's retreat. The fireplace was so beautiful, the dining table was massive (12ish seats) and the sleeping spaces worked great for our group. Most beds were twin size but mine was cozy and comfortable. We also had access to a giant yurt that was beautiful and cozy and warm with a wood stove. The grounds are thoughtfully maintained to feel wild. The location is less than 5 miles to the entrance of Mt. Rainer. I can't comment on the spa or hot tubs but my fellow retreat partners seemed to enjoy the experience there. read more

The towels were old and stained which seems to be a perennial problem that's been pointed out by other visitors. The staff especially the reservations manager are hard to deal with and go out of their way to be rude. Just not worth it for the price. Definitely not the "relaxing" experience they say they offer. What a beautiful place for a wedding! This review is solely based on the venue and event space. I attended a wedding a few weeks ago and the entire resort was blocked out for all the guests to stay overnight. I was not able to stay the night but I got to see a couple of the cabins. PROS: Location: Located near Mt. Rainier. This is perfect for a quite, relaxing, nestle in the woods get away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life. A true enchanting forest sanctuary. If you have ever seen the movie "Breaking Dawn (Twilight)", this very much resembles the wedding scene. Ambiance:The area where the ceremony was held was beautiful. Very peaceful and picturesque. Very in touch with nature. The area where the reception was held was at the garden next to the Gazebo. This was a very cute and unique wedding. Instead of the usually tables and chairs, the theme was a french rustic forest picnic. The backdrop was perfect for the theme. Food: I'm not too sure if the food was catered through this resort but everything was delicious and healthy. The pie bar was a hit. Cabins: All the cabins that I've been in were very cute and cozy. Everything was very clean. CONS: Parking: Very limited parking. Weather: The weather can be unpredictable. Since both the ceremony and reception were outside, bad weather will hinder that. This place is a true gem! It is well maintained and it was a perfect weekend getaway. We stayed at one of the newer deluxe cabins that had the loft area with hammock and jacuzzi in the unit. It was super cozy and was able to relax completely. Also got a massage while we were there. I felt the room was a bit chilly but the masseuse was professional. Although she specializes in Swedish Massages, I was able to ask for more deep tissue. There are some units where you can have the outdoor hot tubs at the spa to yourself after 9 pm. Would be interested in trying out on the future. Will definitely be coming back in the future. Tips: There is no cell reception if you have ATT. There is T-mobile signal. No WiFi was available on site. There are not many restaurant options in the area. We went to a nearby place and it was below average. Best to cook your own food, but go grocery shopping ahead of time. There is a small market with limited options. The kitchen is well equipped. Good to bring books, games, activities. read more

I LOVE this place. The cabins are beautiful and well put together, the facilities are well maintained, and everything is built and arranged with exquisite taste and care. Think fairytale artistry plus impeccable hospitality, in one of the most beautiful forest settings in the Northwest. And for what unique and pleasant accommodations these are, the prices are absolutely fair. I've made trips here with friends and family, and everyone ends up raving about Wellspring--it's the perfect base for a visit to Mt. Rainier, hikes in the area, etc. The only problem is, you end up wanting to spend all your time relaxing at Wellspring instead! My most recent group was four adults (one couple, two singles) and our 72-year-old mom. We put Ma in the Treehouse (per her birthday request) and the other four of us stayed in Three Bears. It was a bit hard to tell how we'd fit, from the online description, but these accommodations ended up being perfect for us: we had plenty of space to hang out together, both at Three Bears and in the charming common area below the Treehouse; Mom loved her fairytale retreat in the trees; and the kitchen facilities in Three Bears were perfect for our shared meals. We'll absolutely be making this a repeat destination. read more

Close to Mt Rainier, but also boasting many well cared for trails on property, you can ramble all day, then relax with a massage or soak in one of two lovely outdoor wooden hot tubs, anyone can book a reasonable hourly soak!If you book one of the two rooms by the tubs, you have them all to yourself from 9pm to 11am. Be aware that Grace West tub isn't as private as the Greenhouse tub. Both are beautiful! Great restaurants in walking distance, calm, quiet, and clean, you will feel you are here almost by yourself. So many sleeping choices-- beautiful house, treehouse, spa rooms, Camper cabins have coolers and bottled water, shower/bathrooms short walk away. This place is special, I have been coming here since 2000, it is always the gentle, peaceful place I love. read more

It looks enchanting but the hot tub was fuzzy green coated and slimy. Most things were orderly but upon closer review not clean. There were poisonous spiders that had well establish funnel webs behind and on either side of the toilet. With my skin crawling from all this I could not sleep the whole night as a result. For a day visit this is a beautiful outdoorsy place with whimsy and care put in the design and layout. It's too bad that the upkeep deserves more attention to be pleasant enough for my return. Our stay here was... fine. We were initially excited when we arrived, as the grounds are quite beautiful, but the living situation itself and the amenities are lacking. We stayed in the Tuolumne cabin, priced currently at $195/night. We read the other Yelp reviews before arriving and figured some of these stories were exaggerated -- but in fact, the bed was TERRIBLY lumpy and uncomfortable, and they only provide hand soap in the shower (so bring your own shampoo if you need it). Food-wise, Wellspring is explicit about the resources; there is a fire pit grill but there were no outside fires allowed during our stay, so we made do with the propane grill, which was easy enough. We did use the wood-burning stove inside our cabin since it got chilly at night and were given extra fire-making materials one of the mornings we were there. It's admittedly difficult to get in contact with anyone after you book; we tried to call to ask a question the day before we arrived, and you can only reach someone via email. Overall, for the cost, there's a bit too much skimping on Wellspring's end to justify a return in the future. Too bad -- as the surrounding area is really beautiful. For first-time visitors to Rainier, you're better off staying at the Paradise Inn, which supports NPS itself and is incredibly convenient to the park (trailheads right outside your door instead of a 40-minute drive from Wellspring), with a beautiful view. read more

We were SO excited for this romantic and adorable little getaway - but woke up on our first night to two bats flying around in our room (Tatoosh Lodge). Management's response to our request for them to call us and address the situation was to say that "housekeeping has been notified that you need them removed." When we responded and asked for a different room and for them to call us (again), they didn't respond and by early afternoon, we made the decision to leave and not stay another night. We are now going through post-exposure prophylaxis for rabies since bat bites can be small and often not identifiable, which costs quite a bit. While I appreciate that they refunded us the money for these two nights, it doesn't come close to covering the medical bills or stress of this experience. Also, their last response was, "usually we ask guests to leave their door open at dusk and the bats will depart," which is ironic since the website states in multiple places to leave the doors closed so the critters don't get into your cabin, and it seems as if they're aware their lodging has bats but they did not alert us of this and have clearly not attempted to rectify this issue. Lastly, there is no way to access anyone should something happen in the middle of the night. I would absolutely NOT have stayed here had I known there were bats in their cabins, and want others to be aware of this before they book a stay here. read more

This place is really enchanting. We stayed at the treehouse and that was really fun! The spa area is separate and walking is not a big deal but when you are soaking wet and it's about 30 degrees outside and rainy it is a bit of a hassle...just walk really fast and make sure you pack a heavy bathrobe. The bathroom is also downstairs from the treehouse which is expected. Overall great experience. It can be very rustic and woodsy which is really the whole idea so be prepared and know that. This is not like a luxurious kind or accommodation with golden tiles, etc...but definitely worth experiencing! read more

I had some good friends desperate for a hot tub soak, so I unfortunately agreed to bring them here, hoping it would be better than the last time. Shouldn't have bothered. This time I attempted to call the number on their website. It was one "YOU'VE WON A CARNIVAL CRUISE! Press 1 to claim or press # to move onto the service." Yeah, the service part never came. I am now being tied in with another visitor of the spa who, do to the horrifying reservation process, was incorrectly charged by Wellspring, not without trying desperately to pay them. They said in their email that if I didn't respond to it, they would assume I was okay with them charging me his dues. Did I mention that they sent the email in a thread to me AND this other visitor, and it included his phone number, email address, and mailing address (along with his full name)?!!! WHAT. THE. EFF. I can't BELIEVE I am being harassed because they are butthurt about this review. Seeing that I am not the only person to experience all of this shows that I wasn't wrong to post an honest description of the process of making a reservation here. One star AGAIN, because it won't let me give zero. Oh and P.S. - Carolyn B's review down below, she is the person harassing me over email. I am immature and have no idea how hard it is to run a spa?! No, I just don't want anyone else to have their personal information shared or to receive emails threatening fraudulent charges, and believe in positive customer service. I wish I would have read the negative reviews first before booking this place. A group of 3 of us tried to get into the spa here for a 30 minute massage each and a couple minutes in the hot tub and sauna. 1. You cannot call anyone here to make reservations or ask questions because they only provide an email address. Yes, they require full payment up front and they take it all over email. EMAIL. 2. The grounds, although small, are confusing especially when it's rainy out. Everything looks like a cabin so it's very easy to miss the spa. You may very well just walk into the cabin next to it. 3. Between the very rude and highly unprofessional person, Carol, who handles all the bookings and the helpful but condescending massage therapist (Did I mention that she's the OWNER??) who was agitated that we were lost and that she had to point us in the right direction... no. I'm in the spa industry myself and found it very interesting how the massage therapist was saying that she couldn't afford a receptionist on the phones for her to take phone calls. 4. The massage therapist ended up NOT being available for us for a 2pm weekend day appointment. 5. Carol told us that we'd have to stoke the sauna but that everything would be good when we got there. We got there on time (actually 8 minutes early, even though we were lost in the rain for 15 minutes) and the fire in the sauna was dead. We could not get it restarted. We could not use the sauna that we had paid for. 6. Don't you dare tell them you're unsatisfied with how it went or you'll be told you're an idiot and you did everything wrong and shame on you for making Carol work so hard to fit you in! (Yep, we had the gate code, the map AND the directions all with us.) I also find it VERY professional how "Carolyn" AKA "Carol" from the horrible emails wrote a rather nasty (but 4 star, of course) review on here 3 days after I posted mine calling everyone who had a bad experience, "immature girls." This speaks volumes about the business and their professionalism. DO NOT GO HERE. I would have MUCH rather paid more to go to the other spa up the street with higher rates, a phone number and undoubtedly a kinder, professional staff. read more

3rd time I've stayed there. Really, really loved it. About 10 years ago I stayed in the treehouse. Enjoyed it a lot. However, it is tiny and basic. We live in Seattle & on spur of the moment decided to make a 1-night trip to Mt. Rainier. I looked at Wellspring's website and found it to be the best such website I've used in years. It was the smartest and easiest reservation process for any lodging I have stayed at. Booking was so simple. And photos and descriptions of the cabins were excellent (and on-point: at Wellspring we compared the website descriptions and photos with the actual cabins and they were spot on). And the website showed exactly which cabins were taken and which were available, making it super easy. Because it was noon Saturday when we decided to reserve, there was only 1 cabin available. Turns out it was the very cabin I would've chosen anyway, so it worked out great. It was a deluxe cabin, with jacuzzi, fireplace, full kitchen, King bed. We arrived mid-evening after spending the afternoon at Mt. Rainier. It was a little bit challenging in the dark to follow the dirt road into Wellspring. As you turn off the main highway onto the dirt road, there is a large building and parking lot to the left. In the dark it was unclear if that was Wellspring. It was not. A large, clear sign indicating to continue forward on the dirt road would be very helpful. About block later the dirt road has a Y, and yes, there is a small sign that says left to Wellspring, but it was not easy to see the sign in the dark and the sign is a bit faded. Again, a large, clear sign indicating to go left would be especially helpful for first timers. For some reason, our keys had not been left for us where guests pick up keys. At first I didn't know what to do. I tried to call Wellring but my cell but had no service. After a while I noticed a red phone. When I picked that up an operator told me a code so I could get my keys out of a lock box. It would've been especially helpful if there would've been a large, lit up sign that said if you have problems call, pointing to the red telephone. I'm no dummy, but it was dark and hard to see the red telephone given there were lots and lots of things to read on the bulletin board. So for several minutes we didn't see it and didn't know what to do about the fact that keys weren't there for us. We didn't know how we would get into the cabin that we had already paid for it and we were a long ways from other lodging. In the end the problem was successfully resolved, but it was a little bit unnerving for a few minutes. Easily resolved with a lit up sign. We loved the cabin. It was absolutely perfect. Everything was super clean. And all the cool, little extra things were very much appreciated. The bed was huge and so comfy with handmade log frame. I sleep on featherbed at home, and featherbed at the cabin felt like home. The Jacuzzi tub was fabulous. Just the right size. The bathroom was cute. Super clean. The kitchen was great. Small but had everything we need. Full-size gas stove was great. Enough tools and kitchen utensils. Real cloth napkins! (no wasting paper). Cute little log dining table and chairs. Lots of hand crafted things. Plenty of dry, chopped firewood. Cute container for matches. It was immaculately clean. Comfy. Spacious. Cool. Artistic. Well decorated. Cool tree limbs separating the kitchen and jacuzzi from the bed. The mirror in the bathroom was framed with real logs. And numerous other cool and charming decorations and things that I can't remember. I just remember numerous times thinking "that's neat how they did that" or "what a great idea, I'm going to mimic that idea at home". Organic soap in the bath and kitchen. Environmental tissue and toilet paper. (I appreciate that and buy them too, so I recognize they are more expensive then traditional, cheaper, chemical-ridden products typically provided at lodgings). Overall, we had a completely wonderful time. Peaceful. Relaxing. So much that the next day after touring Mt. Rainier a little more, we booked a 2nd night. This time we wanted a little bit more economical cabin. We chose Timbuktu cabin. It was a modest cabin, did not have a toilet in it (which we didn't know in an advance and I wouldn't choose again). It had space heaters and a fireplace, so until we got fire going it was a chilly. It was half the price of the prior night's deluxe cabin and I would not rent it again. I would choose another of the more modestly priced cabins at Wellspring. There was a stain the top of the ceiling, maybe mold or maybe it was wet because cabin was meant to look like an African or a Safari cabin and had a thatched roof and straw-like walls. It was just ok. Of the more modestly priced cabins, I will choose a different one next time, one with a cedar ceiling and walls. Overall, we had a wonderful time and loved Wellspring. read more

This Place is Magical. We stayed twice. Once in the Tree House and once in a cabin. The trails on site are gorgeous and the amenities are great. We will be back. In fact we plan to renew our vows at the out-door chapel (?) ...amphitheater(?) that they have along one of the trails. read more

Upon our arrival, our family had wished to stay longer than our two day stay. This is a lovely haven tucked away in the woods yet well furnished and well maintained. Proprietors were responsive to our email inquiries and reservations are no-hassle with rather generous cancellation policy. Many of our friends on FB who saw pictures posted, have asked about the details to stay amd hope to visit Wellspring too, one day. If you like being in nature in a unique atmosphere, then Wellspring is the place. My husband and I stumbled upon this spa while searching for a place to stay near Mt. Rainier. We aren't campers, so the amenities were perfect for us. Although there are cabins available (about 7), there are also 3 tent cabins that had a queen-sized bed, a stove-pipe fireplace and heating. Bathrooms for the tent were unattached, but private. The best words to descripe Wellspring Spa: COZY, PRIVATE, and SERENE. This place is great for a romantic get-away or a weekend with the family. There are also massage services and an outdoor hot tub and a sauna available for reasonable sums. The place is family-owned and well-kept. I highly recommend it! It is conveniently located on the highway just 5 minutes from the Longmire entrance to the Mt. Rainier National Park. read more

After booking and confirming a site visit appointment, my fiance and I drove down to Wellspring from Seattle for a tour with Diane. When we arrived, we were only met with disappointment, as Diane was not there to greet us. We used the red telephone to check in with the customer service agent on the other end, but we received no information on where our guide was nor how late she would be to our appointment. The agent simply asked for my contact information, which is ostensibly useless without reception. She said she'd be in touch with Diane. After waiting for her for almost a half an hour, we left the site extremely upset. We committed almost 5 hours of our time to this appointment and can only say we feel disrespected, saddened, and made a fool. We were hoping that, upon acquiring cell phone service, we would have received an apologetic email regarding this incident, but again we were sorely disappointed to find no such communication. Outside of our experience, the site looked fairly run down (unkempt, with tall yellow grass and spiderwebs everywhere), but we sadly didn't get further than the front garden so we can't say for sure what is beyond that area. read more

We just stayed a night during a visit to Mt. Rainier. It is about 40 minutes drive from Paradise Lodge in the Park, and had space on short notice. It was $155 for the night for a fairly small cabin. The grounds are very nice, and the privacy excellent, and the cabins are set back in the woods far enough to hear no whisper from any road. The cabin was much more solidly constructed and artfully decorated than I expected. The bed was ok, but could have been more comfortable, and the breakfast basket was plain but adequate. The manager was very patient and cooperative - we got an extra futon for our daughter and surveyed 3 of the cabins before making a selection. Highly recommended. read more

We stayed in the Tieton cabin, it was the perfect cabin in the woods. My family of four, including two teens, fit comfortably. My teens enjoyed hanging out in the loft. It was a peaceful get away from technology and the city. We cooked meals in the full size kitchen and made a fire after coming down from the mountain. We will be staying again. read more

Wellspring was the perfect getaway from Seattle! We stayed in a beautiful deluxe cabin with super comfortable bed, huge stone fireplace, full kitchen and Jacuzzi for two! There are great trails on the grounds that take you through old growth forest across wooden bridges over cascading mountain streams and a magical stone labyrinth. Unfortunately I have to rate this place on extremely poor customer service. I called and left several messages, and also sent an email to reserve a cabin and since no one responded in 6 days, I am giving it 1 star. Since I have a child and they have restrictions on children, only allowing them to stay in 2 cabins, I needed approval before I could book online. I never received a call back, email back, and therefore had to give my business elsewhere. read more

We went there mainly for the hot tub. It was amazing, just in the middle of the forest, quiet and clean. Outsiders pay $15 and guests $10. The 5th star is missing for the tub that we had that day had a loose seat and we were lucky not to get any injury. The rooms seem pretty cool too. After indulging on Mt Rainier, this is a perfect retreat. read more

After two stays in two different cabins, my husband and I heartily agree that this place is a gem. We stayed in deluxe cabins each time, and paid $200/night. Our stays were in December of 2006 and 2007. I imagine it's a beautiful and lush place in the summer, but we've only seen it covered in a beautiful coating of snow. Some of the things we loved about this place are the giant river rock fireplaces, huge king size feather beds with cozy flannel sheets, the hammock and loft, and the full kitchen. We booked one of the hot tubs this time and thought it was very peaceful and romantic. Massage treatments are also available, as the owner is a massage therapist. This place is very hard to leave! It is as close to heaven as anyone can get down here on earth. My wife and I spent a night in the Tamarack which was one of the more expensive cabins in the place. It was private, quiet, peaceful, and oh so incredibly cozy. The cabin was great and we enjoyed a raging fire in the fireplace, sipping coffee on the front porch in the nighttime woods, and listening to jazz music on the radio with a mind blowing Jacuzzi for 2. LOVE the coziness & serenity of this hidden gem in Mt. Rainier. I can't wait to go back!We stayed at 'Tieton' cabin & we were very pleased with the overall experience (well, except on 1 thing) from the location, the building structure/design/materials to the amenities. There were bunches (like a week's supply) of firewood for the fireplace so we have enjoyed that part to the fullest as it was cold & rainy. The in-room Jacuzzi feature was invigorating - as always. The loft with the 'dark-green' hammock & lounge chairs made me want to stay for 1 more week!:) The area is so comfortable & absolutely relaxing! makes you feel sleepy but who wants to take a nap when you get to treat yourself with the colors of nature. The sky, the fresh green trees with rain mists are all visible from up there too if you don't feel like going out yet. The glass window is huge. The restroom is cozy too...ha ha ! small but the woodsy design is cool. I also love it that there is no TV & internet connection (for a change). It is really my great desire to rate this place 5stars as I still think that this is 1 of the best vacation spots in Washington even if they seriously need to update some of their kitchen items such as the pots & pans as everything looks so old & overused with a lot of scratches & some are rusty looking. We brought a lot of ready-to-eat foods though & so happy that we did. I do not think there are restaurants nearby. I was only craving for cups of hot chocolate the whole night but there's no way I would use those pots to boil water. Yes I'm picky! :) read more

Amazing place, in the snow or winter. I recommend the bigger cabins, but the smaller ones are pretty darn nice as well! Don't expect internet access and people to talk to: its very isolated, which is part of what makes it great! read more

If you are looking for the ultimate in peaceful relaxation, this is the place. Get a cabin or a treehouse and reserve a hot tub in the woods! When we stayed last weekend it snowed a few inches, which made the outdoor hot tub even more fun than usual. If you're hiking or snow shoeing at the park the entrance is just a few miles away. read more
