We stayed for two nights while we were exploring Mt Rainier NP. It was the absolute perfect location. It is at the doorstep of the park, could not have been any more perfect. The owners Bob and Joe have thought of everything. The property is beautiful. The flower gardens are so pretty. I wish it was a few weeks from now so that we could have seen them in full bloom. I'm sure the summer is gorgeous. The weather was great so they were able to do a fire and smore each night. That was a nice treat. The cabin was very comfortable. It had everything we needed. They keep the cabins extremely clean. Our unit had a hot tub outside to share with the cabin next door. We had a mini fridge/freezer and a microwave. Coffee pot with supplied coffee, sugar and creamer. Having tea and a tea kettle was a nice touch. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next year. I can't recommend this lovely property enough!

Our time Stone Creek Lodge was more than just a place to rest, it was a whole experience. The owners Bob and Joe are so personable and take pride in their work. The property was beautiful, with such a convenient location that is 2 minutes away from Mt. Ranier entrance. The cabins were immaculate- one of the best I have ever stayed in. There were many amenities such as coffee, a toaster, fridge&freezer, snacks, A/C & heater, and even a heater in the bathroom! These cabins were so relaxing and some of them even have a jacuzzi which is great. There are also nightly bonfires with s'mores which is a great way to meet the other people staying at the property and getting to know the owners. We had such an amazing stay, and if anyone will be visiting Mt. Rainer please choose stone creek lodge. Thank you so much again Bob and Joe for being such wonderful hosts and providing the most memorable stay!

The BEST place to stay when visiting the Mt. Rainier area. It's cozy and quiet and pristine and less than a mile to the park entrance. Bob and Joe are so friendly and welcoming and have all of the answers to any questions you may have about the area. And a special added attraction for me were the deer that roam around the area. We will always have fond memories of our stay here and plan to return.

This place is great! Stayed in one of the standalone studio style couple cabins. The entire place is very well kept by the hosts Bob and Joe. We called ahead to see if they could accommodate a late arrival. Got to speak to both Bob and Joe, and both were willing to work something out so we didn't disturb the other guests. When we arrived, we were greeted by Joe and he gave us a run down of the entire place. And even gave us suggestions on activities to do at the park. Everything was very clean and the room had everything we needed. - Queen size bed with clean and warm sheets - Fireplace heater - WiFi - Clean hot shower - Microwave - Mini fridge - Coffee Maker - Hot Tub!!! (Shared between neighbor cabin - but was vacant so had it to ourselves!) If we visit the park again, will definitely be staying here again.

Summary: Perfect getaway, Wonderful Hosts and Ideal Location Disclaimer: I have not been paid or compensated to write this review by anyone in any way shape or form Review: We spent the entirety of our weekend here and here's our observations... - This facility is literally a 100 steps away from the Nisqually Entrance where You pay the Park Rangers to get into the Mt. Rainier National park - There's some good food options within a few miles towards the town of Ashford - The Cabin we were in was called the Cascade Cabin and was perfect for two people - You can see the pain Bob and Joe took to make this place what it is in the small details like granite kitchen countertops, glazed cabinets, beautiful gas stove, lovely wood paneling and so much - Love the fact that there is no TV here - Bob and Joe are SUCH GOOD HOSTS. Bob asked us EVERY SINGLE DAY if we needed anything, had the Longmire/Paradise gate opening info memorized every day and had so many recommendations on trails and the park in general - The only two lows were slow internet speed (not their fault, there is no connectivity past Longmire) - Wish we had a nice laz-z-Boy in these cabins to just sit, the chairs are hard wood and so for old people like us, it hurts our backside after a while :)

Loved this cozy lodge. We stayed 4 nights. Bob and Joe quickly greeted us assisting with all the information we needed for hikes, drives, restaurants and all our needs for the day. I loved the quiet atmosphere amongst the forest and near the park entrance. We had Wifi, but I absolutely loved the lack of TV. Sitting outside with my morning coffee watching deer walk by was the ultimate peace and quiet I craved. Rooms are immaculate and there is a nightly campfire where children and adults can enjoy. I wanted to stay forever. I am happy we weren't in a crowded Inn especially these days. I want to go back soon! Thanks Bob and Joe!

Went here a couple of days ago. Had a fantastic time! Less than a quarter mile from the Mt Rainier park entrance. The owner is very welcoming and the cabins are in excellent condition. Warm showers, WiFi, comfortable bed and kitchen. The hot tub was our favorite part. Very relaxing out in the middle of nowhere. We had deer come right up to us. If your are staying in this area, I highly recommend this location.

    Nightly camp fires!

Joe and Bob were excellent hosts! The property is a wonderful escape from city life. You can hear the river from your cabin, and they have nightly camp fires where it was fun to meet our neighbors. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and they even left her a sweet note on the end table. Thank you again for making our weekend so enjoyable, and making my wife's birthday so special. We will definitely be back soon!

This was the perfect home away from home for the last two days. Everyone here is so pleasant to around and very accommodating. The Cabin: (I was in Cabin 3) Looks to be newly renovated. New carpet, super clean, well lit and lots of windows. Would sleep 4 comfortably. Absolutely no pets or smoking! This cabin has an open concept (no other rooms except the bathroom) which gives you lots of space. There are also ample USB charging stations at the bedside, enough for the whole family, nice added touch. The Kitchen: Has everything you need. The small refrigerator and freezer is fairly standard but the freezer is big enough to hold ice cream (and they provide an ice cream scoop). They also provide a small microwave, toaster, coffee (and coffee pot) and hot chocolate, dishes and silverware. The Bathroom: Most important - SUPER CLEAN. Stall shower has soap/shampoo dispenser. The toilet is full size. And there is plenty of hot water. They also provide a hair dryer. The Beds: A little soft for me but very comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. Oh, and its located just outside the park, so great location.

The log-hewn furniture feels solid, the lampshades were whimsical, even the coasters and decorations were on theme: bears in the woods. The kitchen gadgets were high end. The teas and coffees provided were not cheap standard shelf fillers, rather thoughtfully prepared and chosen. The cooking oil provided was obviously selected for quality and health. Add to this excellent electrical work in the cabins, cooling fans, lots of hooks for wet towels from the hot tub, support for WiFi, and you feel as if all possible eventualities --including power outages-- have been given forethought and workarounds clearly communicated to guests. It's the ethic of care for the wellbeing of the guest that had me impressed right off the bat, and this made the exquisite nature setting on the creekside feel seamless and restful. When someone has figured out all the details, you can go ahead and just relax at the cabin. My parents visiting from abroad had a great time here. All we did was just relax and enjoy the cabin. The deer and the blue jays were a special treat. This place is doing it right. You can never go wrong with staying here. However, it is a little expensive and there are no such things as cancellations. So it does seem hard to get a booking because it is so popular here. And I myself would worry about how to book when no cancellations are allowable. The cabins are slightly compact also, can be a bit tight if you pack in the full allowable guest load. The four bedrooms were set up perfectly for our family that only includes one pre-teen. This place is excellent and well worth the money. It is a private, secluded lodge situated in a spot that is right before the entrance to Mt Rainier. The stream running through the backyard created a serene environment and the hot tub was perfectly set against it. Be careful with that hot tub in the snow - once you get in, you may not be able to get out! :) There are some disadvantages that you should know about. The water pressure in the bathroom was very weak. The power went off 3x, we called the numbers listed in the book and they eventually returned our calls a few hours later. Beautiful location, beautiful cabin, wonderful weekend!

Unfortunately, once we arrived, we noticed a note on the front of the dishwasher that said "out of service". Okay, no biggie... *trying to be understanding as things happen*. Entered the cabin further and noticed pretty peculiar smells throughout (I thought, well, its a cabin in the PNW, so I imagine it may smell peculiar and soggy from time to time). As I tried to reason that the cabin was worth the $370ish we spent per night, I was proven more and more during our stay as to why that wasn't the case... Tried to turn on the fireplace in the main house, doesn't work. Shower spout is falling off, possibly black mold in the smaller bathroom located by the front door, walls are extremely dirty (especially in high touch areas and behind the garbage cans). Cobwebs in the corners, dead bugs hanging from the light fixtures, igniter on the BBQ doesn't work, couches were sticky and smelled odd, white towels were noticably dirty even though they were washed, beds were so uncomfortable and horrible that we left a day early... The good part of this trip is that we did spend time as a family and played some pool, hiked Mt. Rainier, and enjoyed some down time. Pool table was a great thing to have access to during our stay. The creek in the back is very beautiful in the early morning/late afternoon...but that's about it. I would not return and would not recommend others to stay here & spend this type of money per night until the owners choose to put some TLC into the place to improve its current state. Also, if you are looking for a secluded place to stay, this one isn't it. The Lazy Bears cabin is located in a small-ish community/HOA with many neighbors nearby.
