A few reasons to consider stopping by this winery for a visit, among the many wineries in the area:…read more - Butter Tart: they are famous for their butter tarts. My friends from Toronto bought a bunch to take home to their friends, it's just that popular and good. Yes, you are at a winery, but get a coffee and enjoy the tarts. Yum! - Art Gallery: they have an art gallery which is free admission, with some quality exhibits. - Sculpture Garden: Besides the indoor exhibits, they have outdoors sculpture too that is quite interesting. Be sure to take some time to walk around and admire them. Also, in the gift shop they have several of their wine in cans. I find it great to buy them as souvenirs for friends back home. A lot easier and lighter to carry, and I am able to bring gifts for more friends, since if I buy bottles, I can only buy two.

Before getting in to the full review one important tip - do not leave without getting the butter tarts in their bakery. Outrageous. For those coming only for the wine you may be disappointed. Tasted a Rose Brut, Pinot Grigio, Riesling and Gamay. The Rose Brut was the best of the group, a bit too bubbly but a pleaser. The Pinot Grigio and Riesling were decent, though both lacked structure and were watery. The Gamay, in part due to the heat, was undrinkable. We did not go on their winery tour. Perhaps they have other higher level wines that were not available in the standard flight. Lunch for 4 was really well beyond what I expected. You find an available table then go up to order your food. Wine / drinks are immediately available. They give you a table number and then bring the food to you. Despite it being full on Saturday the service was quite fast. Had a strawberry and goat cheese salad which was plentiful and excellent. Smokey Broccolini salad also recommended. Grilled chicken parmesan was apparently quite good as well. Both the truffle fries basket were superb as was the shareable cheese & charcuterie board. Prices were fair. After a delicious meal listening to live music we headed over to their art gallery and lastly a stroll over to visit the vines. Art installations throughout the vineyard add to the charm. Normally I wouldn't give 5 stars if I wasn't fond of the wine but the full package of what 13th Street offers makes it a must to visit. Perhaps next time I'll dive deeper in to the wines and see if I can find one the fits my palate.

There was plenty of parking right in front, and the views of the building and vineyard were absolutely beautiful. We were greeted warmly by the hostess when we arrived, and when we requested a table in the shade, she gladly accommodated us. The service throughout lunch was excellent. My wife has a tree nut allergy, and our waitress made sure to inform the kitchen so my wife could safely enjoy her meal without worry, which we really appreciated. We ordered two pizzas and two charcuterie boards. Unfortunately, the charcuterie boards were very overpriced for what was included: each board only had 8 thin slices of salami, 8 thin slices of capicola, a small bowl of olives, and a few small pieces of cheese. Two boards came to roughly $70 before tax, which definitely did not feel worth the price. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was also VERY dry, and surprisingly they didn't even have balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar available for it. Another waitress brought over some olive oil, but then charged us $3 for it, which honestly didn't sit right considering we explained how dry the pizza was. The location, atmosphere, and service were wonderful, but the food quality and pricing left a lot to be desired. We usually just come here for wine, but we won't be returning.

Food 4/5 Service 3/5…read moreAmbiance 5/5 Food: I came here as a part of a work event. Our company had the whole event space booked. We had a set menu with three courses. Our first course was a green salad with currants. That was delicious actually. I really liked the currants. The next course was a choice of either chicken or squash (not many options!). I had chosen the squash but because of my food allergies they ended up giving me a mushroom dish. I love mushrooms so I didn't mind. That dish was actually quite tasty. The last course was a dessert which was a seasonal crumble with ice cream. They gave me a shaved coconut & berries dish due to my food allergies. The food was okay but my mind wasn't blown. I tried a bit of both the red wine & white wine but didn't like the taste. Then again I'm not much of wine drinker. Service: Some of the servers looked like the would rather be anywhere else than at the event. My server was great though, he was very attentive to me because of my food allergies. However, one of the servers dropped a carafe of boiling hot coffee on the ground. It hit me a bit, the guy next to me got some in his eye & another guy across from us was also hit. I was not happy about that. The server was really apologetic & went to get some ice. Took her forever but she finally found some & gave it to the people who were affected. I smelled like coffee after that. Ambiance: The vineyard is really lovely. We got there just before the sun started setting & it made for some amazing views. The dining hall is nice as well with it's high ceilings & floor to ceiling windows. The group washrooms were clean & pretty also. I'm not sure if I would come here again on my own. My impression of the food & service is tainted by the coffee being spilled on us. They were really apologetic & everything but sometimes first impressions are everything. I'm not often in the Niagara on the Lake area & if I were I wouldn't make a special trip to come here given my past experience here.

It is a complete refuge from the craziness of Niagara Falls and I can't begin to share just how relaxing and fun this spot is. I booked a reservation for my partner to enjoy a birthday lunch here. And some wine tasting. They were incredibly packed but managed to arrange the perfect table for us. It was on the outside porch overlooking the entire restaurant and winery. We joked, it felt like the main wedding table! We came here with our kids and it was perfect. There is a large field where they provide soccer balls for the kids to kick around (and maybe their dad joined in!). The wine and food was equally delicious. We ordered a number of small plates to share among the table including the French onion soup, a bread basket with butter, a seasonal peach salad, pene pasta, a cheeseburger and other tasty snacks. The meal, service and ambiance was perfect! It's such a great spot for families and definitely want to come back.

Hubby and I often go solo or with friends to enjoy and check out new dining or wineries. Honsberger has become a fave for us. Their patio is wonderful and a good size. They have a quite large fully covered area to the side of the main building, plus then another patio area with tables that have umbrellas. Their pizza is excellent and done in an outdoor pizza oven. They do have other items (mains, salads, appetizers), that are prepared in their main kitchen. One thing we have noticed is that things are taking a bit longer in the Covid world. This is we assume due to precautions taken with cleaning etc. So -- do be patient and just enjoy. We find that they always have some interesting cocktails with their wine as a basis, and some are available in pitcher size as well as by the glass! Reservations for the patio are available via the TouchBistroDine app. You won't find them on OpenTable. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Parking is available at the back and on the side. You do need to have face masks until you get to your table.

It's been around for DECADES, producing wine and providing grapes to other wineries - even to some out in PEC. Lowdown - Due to the very favourable Google reviews, King's Court has been on my to-visit list of wineries. I knew it was small, but when I saw that the tastings were inside a trailer - albeit a dressed up one - I was a bit disappointed. Pics online showed primarily outdoor tastings, so that's what I assumed the setting was esp since the weather was soo nice! The tasting trailer reminded me of a classroom. It also looked like someone was in the middle of unpacking bottles, so it wasn't some kinda clean, pristine or nature setting where wine is usually enjoyed. Tastings were $15/3 x 2oz samples, quite typical nowadays. Rep wasn't super strict with the limit of 3, so that is always appreciated...and the way it should be. She also offered me wines that weren't on the menu that they were low on stock on, so that was very nice. I had a Riesling, Rose, Black Knight, and a coupla others. Riesling was very petrol-y which I didn't expect and wasn't a fan of. Of course, this is all subjective, so perhaps other people would enjoy this. I like Rieslings that are more easy drinking, with fruity, floral notes. Apparently this petrol/alcohol-y taste is more common with aged Rieslings and that's what this was, a 2016. Rose was soo dry for me that I couldn't finish it. And I usually finish all my samples! Overall, very welcoming staff member, in a very casual setting. Perhaps their wines are for a more mature palate?? Lemme know!
