INCREDIBLE tape-in extensions. It has been 4 weeks since my first appointment with Wendy. She installed 2 rows of beautiful tape-ins and they are still perfectly intact & beautiful. Wendy deserves more than 5 stars for a number of reasons: 1. She was EXTREMELY flexible. I waited until the last minute to try and get an appointment with a stylist to install tape-ins for a Cabo wedding the next weekend. I texted her on a Saturday and she was able to fit me in that MONDAY. As in - She went to her distributor the next morning, picked up the perfect match tape-ins just by going off a photo I sent her, and had me walking around with gorgeous long hair by the afternoon. Obviously I plan to plan ahead in the future, but a lot of stylists or personal service providers do not accommodate such last minute jobs and tell them tough luck. So grateful I found Wendy! 2. She did a fantastic job. This was my first time getting serious hair extensions after years of opting to use clip-ins that were doing some serious damage to my hair / making my natural hair unbearable to look at. Taking out clip-ins is like taking off a bra - I was worried that tape-ins would feel like the clip-ins I could never take off. When Wendy put mine in I could not feel them and still 4 weeks later cannot feel them. 3. She made sure I felt extremely safe and comfortable due to covid-19. Her spa was extremely clean and she took a number of extra precautions that she made me aware of prior to my appointment. 4. She's a great person in general. Very kind, warm, friendly, and intuitive. We contacted Wendy to do wedding makeup for us . ( bride and maid-of honor) We are no spring chickens, and have never used a make up artist before, so we were newbies to this. She did such a professional job on our makeup, came out to our location, gave us both her help, and we both looked amazing! She did not over do it. She did gorgeous, natural looking makeup which is what we requested, and she knew exactly what we needed for the photographs. She explained how our every day makeup doesn't photograph well, and what would make the difference. She has a long history of doing this- and worked many years with MAC. Words can't explain what a horrible person she is !!! I had booked her to do my hair for my niece is sweet 15. I called her and texted her two days before the event to make sure she was still coming and was able to do my hair the way we had said. She ended up getting back to me a day before the event letting me know that everything was still on and that she could do my hair with hot curlers. I was super excited until that day came. When I got to my sisters house I was so shock to hear that she wasn't there and hadn't called yet. She was scheduled to be there by 5:00 am and it was 6:30 am when I got there. You could see it in my sisters face that she was nervous that on that day of her daughters special event this lady decides to do a no show. What was she thinking!!!! A sweet 15 is a very special day for a young lady and to see my niece and my sister having a panic attack do to the fact that she cancelled on them and myself the same day of the event is so UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!! I first met Wendy at MAC almost 10 years ago when my sister and I went in to have our make-up done for a special occasion. Not only did I have an amazing connection with her feeling at ease immediately (had a bad experience with another make-up artist years prior, which caused me to be hesitant in giving it another attempt) she has never let me walk away without feeling and looking beautiful. I will not get my make-up done for any occasion unless Wendy is available. Last year was the first time she did my hair for my company party and anyone who knows me is aware that my hair does not hold curl. Well with the wonders of Wendy my hair not only remained curled the entire evening, which included a lot of dancing, it was still curled in the morning. Every time Wendy does my make-up, I receive many compliments and one time was even approached by another stylist complimenting my make-up and the way my eye color just popped. I just acquired Wendy's services again for my company party a week ago, where she also did a friend's make-up and once again, we looked and felt beautiful. If I could give 0 stars I would have. BEWARE! She did not show up to do our hair. Do not hire this women, she is the most unprofessional, most unreliable person I have ever delt with. I contracted her for my daughter Quinceanera, she was supposed to do my daughters hair, my hair and my sisters hair. Every time I would call her after the initial setup it would go to voicemail. I would email her and no response. The day before my sister texted her and confirmed she would show up at 6 am. The day comes and it's 6:20 and nothing, I call her no answer. I text her and she tells me her car isn't working and she will be right there, this continued for a while, but never did she pick up her phone, everything via text. It s like lady have the nerve to at least talk to me and tell me your not coming instead of having me wait like an idiot, praying to God that you show up. Then she has the nerve to tell me that I could do my daughters hair in a bun or that I should take her to the dry bar in manhattan beach, its like really!!! I was speechless, could not even fathom that this was happening. On one of the most important days of our lives she does this to us, I can't caution enough not to hire this person. I understand car problems occur, but I offered to go pick her up and she did not want that, probably because she never intended to keep the appointment to begin with. If she wasn't planning on coming I would have preferred she tell me, even a day before, I could have made other arrangements.
