As a 'mom and pap" type landlords we own a few properties in Phoenix. While preparing our taxes we noticed that we are missing one of the insurance bills. So we called Dan's office. To our great surprise we were informed that our insurance policy got cancelled a year ago, due to a claim on a tenants part! But no one bothered to inform us!!! Not even a courtesy call, reminding us nothing!!!! Complete disregard for long term loyal clients. He said that " insurance company has sent us a letter" (not true). Insurance cancellation should be a registered letter - which we would have received! He expressed a complete disregard that our property was left uninsured for a year!!! Not even an apology, nothing or any desire to remediate the situation. Naturally we are taking all our business elsewhere and telling everybody to stay away from that dump of an agency!! Also filing a complaint with AZ Insurance DIFI. Avoid Dan Kalm Insurance - they treat long term clients as garbage and discriminate against them. P.S. I jus wanted to add some facts after I ve had a conversation with this person - agent. He demanded that I should remove this review in a rude way - I said I would only do it if the situation is remodified and he would apologize to me - at this point he went completely nuts screaming at me, telling that I am blackmailing him etc... Just for reference: What he attempted to refer to without a knowledge that many years ago I went to a law school: Commercial electronic messages (CEM) sent to recipients in Canada from another country must comply with CASL. Senders of CEMs need to: (1) obtain consent, (2) provide identification information, and (3) provide an unsubscribe mechanism. This is what the CASL is about - we communicated always via mail and email hence implied consent. And just a lame excuse on a part of an incompetent, lazy, misleading agent. Plus given his recently changed reply - he is very good in twisting the facts. He is not to be trusted! P.P.S, At this point we decided to seek a legal advice and will contact State Farm directly to recommend them to have a better customer service focused training to their agents. Its obviously a complete failure at this stage. This person should not be in a customer focused business. End of story.

After dealing with Bob on my home insurance I transferred all my vehicles over as well. I've since received a couple of calls from his office to ensure I was happy and my coverage was what I wanted and more importantly what I needed. During the last few monsoon storms I called the office with some questions. Never really dealing with home owners insurance very much and the lady there was very informative and helpful. I know for a fact I can contact my insurance agent when I need him and get results. That to me is peace of mind you just can't put a price on. Add that to great competitive pricing. For example, my new(er) car was slightly damaged around the time of the big microburst monsoon storm that hit Tucson in June - the one that knocked down so many trees. I didn't realize there was damage to my car (front bumper) until three days after the storm, so I wasn't positive regarding the actual cause of the damage; I just knew it didn't come from something I did. So, I was honest with SF regarding the situation. And, rather than count it as a collision case, which they could have done, they put it on my comprehensive instead. That saved me $250 (my collision deductible) and guaranteed no increase to my monthly payment. As my father is ex-military, I could have gone with another insurance option years ago, but I decided to stick with SF to establish a solid track record. (The monthly rate was only $9 less/mo. anyways.) That decision of mine has seemingly paid off even though I've switched SF agents numerous times over the years. I was at the gym at 5 AM on September 24 and I was leaving, barely moving, going to turn on to the main drive of the parking lot outside of LA Fitness on First AVE. The sun was not out yet. I felt a bang behind my seat on the side of my car. I stop and get out and there is a guy all dressed in black screaming and yelling. I called the police and the ambulance. The man was hurt, I did not know what happened. I stayed till everyone was gone when the police came, took pictures, and fortunately there was a witness who gave me his phone number. He had left the gym before and was suspicious of this guy walking out around the parking and looked spaced out. He would not talk to the police at the hospital and then went to a lawyer and reported that I backed over his foot then pulled forward and back over again. The witness disputed his version. I WAS NOT CITED. The witness stated there as no way I could have avoided what happened. I was hardly even moving. I reported it to this office and the guy told me that this parking lot has a terrible homeless population. I did not know. I went back a few weeks later and took photos of them sleeping in the parking lot when it was light out. There damage to my car. Then I get notice that this office will not talk to me and I try to send a message and I was blocked. They determined I was 60% at fault. REALLY no support and obviously a scan. I have never in over 40 years of driving I have never had an accident my fault. You're good if you don't need this insurance. STAY AWAY IF YOU DO. THEY DO NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT!!! I moved my policies.

Got a title loan several months ago because of a family medical emergency. They say the interest is…read more6% monthly but when you add that up it is 72% APR which is still a predatory loan. There is no way to pay your monthly payment online and they just started charging a fee for debt and credit card payments over the phone or in person without notifying current customers or disclosing it on their web site. I'll be paying off my loan in full ASAP with a credit card to avoid any more shady surprises and the predatory APR.
