Lots of locals come in; families, friendly folk, workers, and couples bringing their kids regularly. And a place I come back to regularly. I've had the double cheeseburgers... spectacular. The tacos are excellent too, especially with a little onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime. Of course, you can't go wrong with a Chicago-style hot dog, always great. The gyros are savory, flavorful and plenty. They really hit the spot. There's so much meat that I sometimes pop over to ALDI afterward just to grab a flatbread and make a second gyro from the leftovers. And I always ask for extra tzatziki sauce to dip my fries in. All in all, a great local spot. They're always adding new items to the menu. They now have handmade tamales made in-house, great masa wrapped in a proper corn husk.

The portions are nice and a small order for the onion rings and cheese fry were the perfect size for my mom and I to split. The cheese sauce is not just an artificial nacho cheese and was the perfect compliment. The onion ring batter was not greasy and had the perfect crunch. The inside was clean and updated. This is the standard "hole in the wall" set up that is perfect for locals. It's not crowded with tables, since there are about 6 true booths and then higher tops along the back wall. I could imagine it may be difficult to find seating on a Friday or Saturday night when it's busier, so be prepared. The pricing is a little different than it used to be, but everything in the world is now more expensive so can't complain! That being said- the pricing isn't ridiculous, it was $26 for all our food and drinks. I'd say this is very doable considering the area we live in isn't super cheap. The service was quick considering the food is made to order and not just sitting out. We waited about 10 minutes for our food and that was with 3 orders in front of us. My only recommendations would be: 1. I wish when I checked out they would have told me the bun for the cheese dog is plain and not poppy seed. My mom ordered a Chicago style dog with cheese sauce so hers was poppyseed, whereas mine was just plain. The food was still tasty though so I'm not upset! 2. I wish the cheese sauce cup was just slightly larger but there was still a decent amount 3. I was a little confused upon arrival because the menu wraps around the front of the cashier- not a big deal, I just lacked awareness :) Overall, my food was great, the quality was there, I walked out full and satisfied and had a great experience! Got that caramelized beefy flavor, so delicious. And love them crinkle cut fries. Reminds me of my great aunt from Wisconsin way back, who was making butter burgers in a skillet back in the 70s. But don't skip out on the pot roast sandwich, which is a unique and phenomenally delicious sandwich with great rich beef beefy flavor. And don't sleep on the fish! The fish sandwiches, incredible, and the codfish dinner is also amazing. Only thing, I would recommend dining in with the fish. The self serve beverage station and the order kiosks are right in the middle of where people wait for their order to be done. So it is continually "Excuse me..Excuse me..Sorry, I'm in your way." The restaurant was fully staffed and the workers were very nice. The ambiance of the eating area is poor. The booths have padding on the back but there is no padding on the seat. So you are sitting on a hard slap of formica. And of course if it is crowded, you may experience the overflow of people waiting for their counter order just hanging around your table. That is why I advise doing drive-through. I liked the food enough to try a different location. Getting and eating at a fast food place should not be this difficult.

It is so nice to have a family owned business in the area especialy since one of the owners took the time to answer my questions. Definately will return!
