The way this young man made it personable and put in the extra effort (mind you he let me know they were closing but he did not shy me away). He asked what I'd like and provided it. Then going above and beyond he assured me my food was coming even though I understood closing procedures. He brought peace at mind and gave me a complimentary or a side of fries. I apologize if you get in trouble. Your efforts don't go unnoticed. He even thanked me for coming to McDonald's and for even stopping by. Many time workers are ever unappreciated. I requested a six-piece chicken McNuggets with fries and Orange Hi-C. My mom requested a Big Mac combo. There weren't a lot of people working, so the food prep was going a little slow. When the food arrived, it was apparent that McDonald's is downsizing everything. The chicken McNuggest are now 50% smaller than the last time I requested them. The plastic container for honey that I dipped them in was also 50% smaller. Luckily the fries and drink were the same size. There was no drink refill station, no spoons, no straws, no napkins, no ketchup available for you to grab. All of those items are kept behind the counter. McDonald's is being very cost conscious and it shows. I wasn't impressed with that, but the food tasted good.
