I'm a Southern California resident visiting family in Ohio. After a long flight, I wanted a bite to eat and took my sister to Cane's. We love ours back home. The following is not what we experience back there. There was an hour wait at the drive thru, which consisted of a line that looped around the building twice! One window was open. No one outside to take preorders to expedite the process. After arriving at the window, we ordered two combos. Mine was a specialty order for the Caniac as I request "naked tenders" and extra hot sauce. Once at the window, we checked on the special request, and they did not have that listed so they handed us drinks and parked us after correcting. No straws for the drinks. We asked for them and requested extra hot sauce for the second time. The attendant grabbed some packets but became frazzled when we asked for straws so she put the hot sauce to the side and gave us straws. We pulled ahead before realizing we didn't get the hot sauce. We waited about 20 minutes parked before we received the wrong order. We called the runner back and requested the right order. There was only one combo (ordered 2), no hot sauce, and a side of three piece chicken. The runner seemed irritated so my sister went in with her. Inside they argued we didn't order two combos until my sister showed them our receipt. We waited longer. Finally the order came with one hot sauce for a 6 piece dinner. There were maybe 10 fries in her combo. I didn't order fries. We also noticed we were charged $1 more for the combo drink bc it was tea, not soda. I'm never charged more in CA, and online it shows a large drink with the combo. No one told us we'd be charged extra. When we saw these mistakes at home combined with our overall experience, we called in. The manager responded with silence and then an "ok" when we addressed our concerns. She was dismissive, no apology of our experience, or any way to promise a better visit next time. Total disregard. I'll stick with my California drive thru in the future. read more

Okay, so I'm going a little 5 star wild these last two reviews, maybe it's because I've been pleasantly surprised from my last 2 visits. Neither where places I wanted or had planned to visit, they just happened to be what was suggested or in front of me at the time. As we were driving on our way back to our hotel, my 11 year old son points out the window and excitedly exclaims, "That's a Raising Cane's, we have to stop, it soooo good!" I'm like, "What are you talking about? I've never heard of them and they don't exist in New Jersey (our home)" He explains that they are huge on social media, its the best, and we HAVE to go! I look and 2 stores away is a Chick-fil-A, with the usual line of cars wrapping around the building but R.C. also has a line of cars wrapping around thier building. As far a chicken places go, Chick-fil-A, is the only place I've seen these long lines, so let's give it a try. We decided to go inside, because of the long line. The decor is welcoming and warm, I really like it. I look at the menu and all they serve is Chicken Fingers, with a choice of 2 sauces (Homemade Honey Mustard and Cane Sauce, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Coleslaw and Texas Toast. I'm a little taken back that a place with such a small menu and the primary focus is Chicken Fingers is so popular, but my kid looks like he's in line for the best Rollercoaster, ever! So let's see, what should we order? I decided to go with the Chicken Fingers, Fries, Coleslaw, Texas Toast and both sauces!..lol! (Pretty easy decision) The employees could tell we were from out of town and they ALL were very welcoming and friendly. A manager came by our table to make sure we were having a good experience and asked if we enjoyed our meal. It's just Chicken Fingers but they do a great job! The Crinkle-Cut Fries are very good and my son thinks the Texas Toast is better then the bread at Texas Roadhouse (I think the Texas Toast is very good, best at any fast food establishment, but not as good as T.R. Rolls), my Wife thought the Coleslaw was tasty. They have Coca-Cola products, Sweet Tea, and Lemonade. I had the Lemonade, loved it and went back for a refill. For the food itself, I'd give a 4 star, they don't serve much but what they do serve they do it right, adding the additional star for a total of 5 because of the decor, cleanliness and the employees. read more

Let me start with saying that the food from Raising Canes is actually very good. The chicken has a very light breading on it and the sauce is great that they have as well. The Texas toast that they serve is unique and very good as well. I was not pleased with the service that I received the other night when we went there, and that is why I am giving a lower rating. During these times with the pandemic, we trust the food industry to hold standards such as being extra clean and having their employees wear masks to help protect consumers. We were so disappointed to see two employees at the drive thru area not have their mask on appropriately (noses not being covered). Ok here it is. I had never heard of this chain until everyone started raving about how excited they were that this area was getting one. I got the 3 piece with lemonade (fries/Texas toast). The lemonade has been hyped to me for months and honestly, it just tastes like sugar water flavored with faux lemon. The Texas toast is nothing great, I mean it's toast, ok? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The fries are fine- they're the kind you get in a bag from ore ida or whatever, they're all crinkly and cute but they're fries, man. And now the chicken. Holy crap the chicken. I would fully give this chicken 9/10. It's amazing. It's so crispy and fresh and light. The breading crumbles as you bite it, but in a good way. Also the sauce is amazing. Tangy, but subtle and not one of those in your face sauces that screams, "look at me, look at me!" Love the chicken. Anyway, if you have 30-45 minutes to waste and are a chicken fan, I'd totally try this place ASAP. If not, wait until it dies down and then get your chicken on. read more

I was eager to get here to try the chicken tenders that I've heard so much about! While I can't say anything negative about them, I'll say I still prefer Chick fil A to this place. The deets: They literally ONLY have chicken tenders on the menu. You can get a 3, 4, or 6 piece box with crinkle fries, coleslaw, Canes Sauce, Texas toast, and a drink, or a 3 piece tender sandwich with fries & a drink. They've also got a kids meal that comes with a toy, drink, 2 fingers, Cane's sauce, and fries. I absolutely LOVED the sauce. It's a top secret recipe and I have no idea how it's made, but I'd guess ketchup, ranch, and seasonings. The slaw was meh, but I'm not a huge slaw eater. The Texas toast was super yummy and the chicken tenders were pretty good too. I'm sure once the hype dies down it'll be good to go back, but I waited in line for 45 minutes with a double line wrapped around the building... at 10:35am. It's like pandemonium right now with police stationed there to direct the flow of the drive thru. Hopefully having them open will lessen the craziness at Chick fil A!!! read more

This review is by no means a review of all Raising Cane's restaurants. I loke their food. This review is specific to this location. The food was up to the Raising Canes standard. The service however, left a lot of room for improvement. I think the food is overpriced anyway so when the environment and service isn't up to standard expectations, it seems to make it feel even more overpriced. Lines were long and dining room was pretty full. We waited a pretty long time to get our food but while we were waiting we tried to get our drinks but the ice machine didn't have any ice. I told an employee and she shrugged it off telling me I had to be patient. So we went to find a table and it had food scraps all over it. I had to get some napkins wet to wipe off the table and seats. It was pretty bad. Again, the food was what u would expect but the cleanliness and service was something u wouldn't expect to see at a Canes. Pretty disappointed. We will still eat Canes but we will avoid this location. read more

This location has become so inefficient and so disappointing. They used to be quick no matter how long the line was. The employees are always extremely friendly, but it's just so dang slow. Like sometimes it would be faster to get an entree at a restaurant kind of slow. From what I've heard, it's one of the busiest locations and so they have their parking lot lined with cones to help with the line, but people still ignore it and block the entrance- there really should be some signage. They've started having workers outside taking orders and payment (Chick Fil A style) but it almost seems like this has slowed them down. And if they're already out there, you'd think they'd help direct the line, but they don't. And the worst infraction of all is that their tenders have gotten so small over time. If you're going to charge that much for chicken tenders, you should actually get a full tender. The food is always hot, but the size of the tenders has gotten borderline criminal. read more

Absolutely abysmal service, I understand that COVID protocols are in effect right now. But, the actions of screaming "WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH, WE CAN ONLY HAVE TEN PEOPLE IN THE DINING ROOM, 6 OF YOU GET OUT" because my friends and I walked in the restaurant is unacceptable. There should really be an obvious indicator of how many people are allowed inside the restaurant at any given time. There was no sign that made the number of people slowed in the dining area obvious. This place is REALLY bad. cole slaw served in its own little plastic, plastic forks, plastic cups for their sauce, etc. ALL SERVED IN A LARGE STYROFOAM TRAY, and then put in a plastic bag and handed to you. It is landfill nightmare. Ok fries were good, cole slaw was well Cole slaw, their "special sauce" is mostly just 1000 islands with a bit of heat. Chicken is good but really nothing special. You can get broasted chicken at a lot of places. It was juicy but its just floured fried chicken. I kept passing the place, noticing the ridiculous crowd, and finally decided to give it a try. I got a 6 piece so that all 5 in my household could sample. None of us understand the hype. The chicken is woefully underseasoned. I doubt they even use salt. Maybe they depend on the sauce to kick it up? That, too, is underwhelming. Tastes like McDonald's "special sauce" to me. The fries were just your run of the mill crinkle cuts. I'd heard good things about the bread. Another disappointment. It was a soggy mess. The only part of the meal that received a reaction more positive than "meh" was the tablespoon of coleslaw that was included with the meal. I don't like coleslaw, so I didn't even try it, but there was only about a tablespoon and a half of the stuff so it definitely wasn't enough to make up for anything anyway. The lemonade was OK. This was very disappointing. I was excited for the concept- pick one thing and do it well. I like the lack of choices, and was excited to try some excellent, fast food chicken. Unfortunately the execution isn't there, and the final product is a huge let down. The fries taste stale and have no flavor, bread is a big hunk of white flour, barely toasted with zero garlic taste, the coleslaw is fine. The chicken itself was juicy, but the breading was soggy, and falling off in pasty clumps, leaving naked, slimy chicken in its wake. Lemonade tasted one step above water flavor wise. Mind you all of these observations were fresh from the pick up window, not 30 minutes later. I believe it is pretty apparent that they don't care about anything but money, I can easily say that more than 60% of the time I go here my order is beyond wrong or the drink is just seltzer water, and what I really don't understand is how they can just keep their doors locked to prevent anyone from addressing their mistakes and getting them fixed. And on top of all that the food is not worth 10 dollars for their normal meal the slow increase in prices has driven me farther and farther away. Here's the deal. The flavors are amazing. The chicken has a freshness and the breading is tasty. I love crinkle fries and these were as good as any. The Cane's sauce is great with the chicken and even works nice for the fries. I love creamy coleslaw but this recipe is not my favorite but I won't fault it because of my personal taste. My criticism comes due to the fact that the place is so busy that they're rushing to get food out and the chicken is suffering from being too greasy so some of the chicken fingers breading was soggy and falling off. Once the hype and newness wears off we'll go back and see if the quality improves. Otherwise the one star from perfect is simply quality control on the star item lacking at the moment. It does say chicken fingers but I didn't think it would only be chicken fingers. 1 star off for limited options. 1 star off for inflexibility, we wanted coleslaw instead of Texas toast, but they won't substitute even for an up charge. The chicken tenders were very good, certainly on par with ChicFilet. I was not impressed with their charging extra for the sauce. In our area condiments are usually included. Since they are different then most they should let customers know when they place the order. I don't mind getting nicked/dimed, but found it to be more of an inconvenience to find out when picking up the order and have to dig out the wallet for 29 cents. read more

Not understanding how people are giving negative reviews. I've been to this location 3 times and every time I have gotten fresh, juicy chicken. As others have said, the breading is not heavily seasoned; however, it doesn't need to be. The chicken is that good. The fries are my least favorite (love the toast dipped in the sauce and the coleslaw) - they're pretty standard, just drench them in Cane Sauce. The prices are definitely comparable to Chick Fil A. I think both are good for different things, but Cane's definitely has better chicken strips. read more

Like other people have said, you can only get chicken tenders here... and it all comes with fries, coleslaw and toast. The fries are meh- standard run of the mill crinkle fries, but the bread and coleslaw are good. The chicken with that sauce is where it's at though. Crispy breading with some actual flavor and the sauce is amazing. The people working the drive through were friendly and efficient. The line was wrapped around the back of the building when I went through but I only waited a few minutes.
